When we got there Jay dragged me towards the far end of the parking lot towards a group of boys which I guess were his friends.

All of them welcomed him as he approached them and he did the same not taking his arm off my shoulder.

“Guys this is Lauren,” He said introducing myself. They all smiled at me welcomingly.

“Hey, I’m Harrison,” A tanned guy said motioning forward and offering me his hand. “I’m Jay’s right hand man,” He joked looking between us as I took his hand and grinned at him.

He took a step back so he was standing next to another tanned guy who just gawked at me.

“That’s her,” He whispered to Harrison who just smiled at me.

I looked away quickly hoping they hadn’t spotted that I had heard him. Another guy came up to me and shook my hand lightly.

“I’m Graham,” He said smiling at me with his blue eyes. I nodded and looked to the guy who was next to him.

“I’m Kyle,” He said and I gawked at how tall he was. He laughed and let go of my hand. I glanced back at the guy who was next to Harrison his eyes still on me.

“And this is Connor,” Jay said pointing at the guy who was still gawking at me with an open mouth.

He stepped forward and lifted my hand to his lips and kissed it gently. I heard a growl come from beside me and I looked up at Jay strangely moving my hand out of Connor’s grasp.

He snapped his eyes at me and shrugged. He just shrugged when he growled like a dog? I looked to Harrison who was chuckling quietly but when I looked at him, he covered it up lamely with a cough.

The bell rang throughout the school jumping me making the guys chuckle. “Jumpy one,” Harrison joked and I glared at him making him laugh more.

They all said their goodbyes and headed off to class leaving me and Jay alone. I grinned up at him showing him I liked his friends.

“Well I will see you at lunch then,” I said and he frowned at me.

“I’m coming with you to get your timetable,” He said talking to me like I was dumb. I rolled my eyes at him.

“Just go, I don’t want you to be late for class,” I told him and he stared at me and grin on his face.

“Have I recruited a goody goody?” He joked and I elbowed him as we walked towards the main office. “And hate to break it to you but being late to class isn’t exactly,” He stopped and glanced at me. “New,” he finished with a smile.

I rolled my eyes again at him but couldn’t help the smile that welcomed my lips. “Bad boy eh?” I teased him and his eyes glimmered with something I couldn’t read again.

“I’m not the one who got kicked out of the country’s most finessed schools because you knocked out a couple of kids,” He said coming to his defences and I laughed. “Who’s your next victim?” He asked which earned him another elbow.

“Hmm, I don’t know, he looks easy, you know just to get me started off,” I said pointing to a nerdy kid with Harry Potter glasses. Jay burst into laughter when he spotted him.

The kid looked up with fear and scurried off when we walked past him. I rolled up my sleeves and gave Jay my best growl. He chuckled again and opened the door for me.

“My lady,” He whispered in my ear as I walked past rolling my eyes trying to cover the shivers down my spine.

I was shocked how clean the place was, the walls were covered in a light blue paint which wasn’t pealing yet, there were many photos and awards hung over all of the walls and 2 long white sofa’s opposite the desk.
