I sat up on the bed once we had finished laughing and gave him a serious look. "Do you think people at your school will like me?" I asked him curiously. He gave a chuckle and tackled me back down.
"You hang out with me," He said and I laughed again. He pinned my hands above my head and gazed down at me.
"I'm serious, Jay, I don't want to embarrass you," I told him honestly not even trying to escape his tight hold. Something flickered in those blue eyes of his before he shook his head. "You're an idiot Ren,"He mocked before swiftly jabbing his fingers into my side. I burst into laughter and desperately tried to get out of his tickling grasp.
"Jay!" I heard his little sister scream excitedly through the house followed by the sound of her tiny footsteps.
Jay got up and opened his closest. I looked at him with question as he took one look back at me with a mischievous grin and put a finger over his lips before he climbed in and shut it quietly.
Jay's little sister Emily came running in with adorableness written across her face. Her toothy smile grew bigger when she spotted me and jumped straight onto my lap.
"Ren! Ren!" She squealed with a cute expression. She was just so adorable.
I pushed a strand of her soft silky black hair behind her ear as she smiled bigger at me. Just then, she looked around the room and her smiled disappeared into a frown.
"Where's Jay?" She said with a little voice and I hummed to myself in thought.
"I'm not sure, he was here just a minute ago, maybe he's hiding,'' I told her in a suspicious tone. She let out another giggle and jumped off the bed. "Oh JJ, come out come out wherever you are," She taunted as she stalked the room.
She opened the wardrobe and Jay tumbled out screaming roar at her. She instantly screamed in horror and ran over to me, jumping onto my lap and hiding in my shirt.
I felt so sorry for her, she was trembling with fear as her face was dug into my chest.
"Ems it's me," Jay said through laughter I couldn't help but smile at him trying to hide my giggles, we were so cruel.
Emily peeked towards Jay with a frightened expression and ran over to him hitting him in the chest. "You're a mean brother," She complained a smile tugging at her lips. Jay grabbed her into a hug even though she protested.
"I love you Ems," He whispered into her black hair in a dead serious tone. It was obvious Jay loved his little sister, a complete stranger would be able to tell. She pulled away and giggled as she looked between us with puppy dog eyes.
"Do you love me too Ren?" She asked me and my heart gave a little squeeze. I walked over to her and bent down so I was nearly her height, staring into her baby-face.
"Of course I do," I said to her and her smile grew and she threw herself at me wrapping her little arms around my neck.
She let go of me and happily skipped out of the room leaving me and Jay in the room alone again. I glanced at him to find him already staring at me with a expression he quickly hid but didn't look away.
"What?" I asked nervously, he just kept staring at me a smile stretching across his face. "Do I have something on my face?" I asked, now self conscious but he just shook his head. I stood up in front of him and looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"No," He stated but didn't look away. Instead he held my gaze, those ocean blue eyes just watching me.
"What's the time?" I asked breaking the awkward silence. He cleared his throat and immediately went into his pocket and brought out his phone. He glanced at the screen and then at me.
