Third Person POV

It was now or never. There wasn't much time before dawn, so Midoriya needed to work quickly. He needed to be meticulous though, and make sure every detail of his plan was perfect. If Bakugo or Todoroki woke up before he was done, it'd be game over. There would be no second chance to get this right. It was the day Izuku Midoriya would die.

Midoriya quietly got dressed and placed his letters neatly on the nightstand next to Bakugo's alarm clock. He looked at his boyfriends' calm expressions as they slept snuggled up with one another. It broke Midoriya's heart that it could be the last time he ever sees them like this. He loved them with all his heart and hoped they knew that.

"It's time once again?" Dark Deku popped out from the corner of the room with his signature sinister grin from ear to ear. "How will you do it this time?"

It was obvious Dark Deku knew Midoriya's plan to kill himself, but he didn't know the rest of the plan. Midoriya wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible.

He continued to gaze upon the perfect pair lying in bed and whispered, "I'm sorry. This is the only way," Midoriya said before kissing each of his boyfriends on their foreheads, as tears began to swell up. He knew his plan could go terribly wrong and that would be it.

He didn't have time to think about that, though. It was 5:30am, so he only had 30 minutes to pull this off before Bakugo would wake up and try to stop him. Midoriya made sure to move as quietly as he possibly could, so he wouldn't disturb the sleeping teens.

"Let's go," he said coldly to Dark Deku.

"You don't have to tell me twice. This will be so exciting to watch!" The evil being chuckled. Little did it know there was something in store for it as well.

--- --- --- --- ---

Midoriya silently made his way to the support department. Ever since the mention of that room Hatsume was working on, his wheels had been spinning.

"Don't want to accidentally get locked in there," she said. "We'd have a hard time getting you out. I was experimenting with the idea of a portable safe room, but there are a lot of kinks I need to work out first. The most important one being the only way out is by entering a secret code from the inside, but I haven't made a way to get in from the outside once it closes."

If there was ever going to be a way to pull his idea off, it would be with the help of that room.

Rushing around the main support room, Midoriya rummaged through the inventions deemed "too dangerous" and needed to be reworked.

There has to be something in here I can...wait...this...this is perfect.

Midoriya ran into the empty room Hatsume had warned him about and began to seal any ventilation with duct tape.

Dark Deku watched as fear set in for the first time. He had a good idea of Midoriya's plan. If it went correctly, there would not be another host. That would be it for the entity, but there was nothing he could do to stop him.

"You sure you wanna go this way," Dark Deku asked. "I mean don't you think you're being a bit theatrical?"

Midoriya continued to ignore him. "Done," he said to himself after sealing the last vent. He then grabbed the clear vial containing a pink liquid. It was labeled "DEFECT: Toxic smoke screen. SIDE EFFECTS: Cardiac Arrest; Possible death with prolonged exposure."

After shutting himself in the sealed and empty room, he looked at his watch to see it was 6:00am on the dot. It was now or never. Midoriya held the vial in the air.

"Wait! You don't want to do it this way. Why not outside in an open area?" Dark Deku pleaded. He knew he wouldn't be able to find a new host if he was trapped in the room with Midoriya, which means Dak Deku would die right alongside him.

"Nope; this is just as good a spot as any to die. Besides, I'm taking you with me," Midoriya said as he smashed the vial onto the floor. The room immediately filled with pink smoke, with no way of escaping.

"YOU CANNOT DO THIS!" Dark Deku screamed in vain.

The fumes were toxic, causing Midoriya to cough violently. His eyes instantly turned red and felt hot.

"Dammit!" Dark Deku exclaimed as he began to glow a dark shade of purple. "Let me the fuck out!" Dark Deku he demanded.

"No," Midoriya coughed violently. "You and I are going together."

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Bakugo blindly reached over to silence the alarm clock when his hand grazed what felt like paper. He squinted his eyes to see two envelopes laid out neatly on the nightstand; one labeled Kacchan and the other, Shoto. There was also a post-it note stuck in front of the envelopes. It read: "I'm sorry. This was the only way. I'll be in the support room. I love you."
