Bakugo's POV

Go Faster you damn moron!

At that moment, I hated myself. I hated everything about me.

Of course, that nerd would pull something like this! Why wasn't I on guard? Why did I let him slip through the fuckin' cracks again?

The event's from just minutes ago were playing over and over in my head on repeat. Why wasn't I faster?! Every. Second. Counts.

(Flashback)

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I blindly reached my hand over to the nightstand to turn off the alarm, when I grazed against what felt like paper. I always kept my room meticulously in order. As groggy as I was, I knew someone had left something while we were sleeping. I squinted my eyes, noting the two envelopes laid out neatly; one labeled for me and the other for Shoto. The room spun around me and my heart began to race.

Those better not be what I think they are!

My hopes of them not being suicide letters were shattered when I saw the Post-it stuck in front of the envelopes. It read: "I'm sorry. This was the only way. I'll be in the support room. I love you."

"Fuck! That damn nerd better not do something stupid!" I yelled out of hurt, fear, and frustration. Izuku...my Izuku...we... "I refuse to let you do this to us!" I exclaimed as I shook Shoto awake.

"Too early," Shoto whined. "Sleep...need slee–"

"Shoto, Izuku needs us. We need to leave now!"

Third Person POV

The boys held back tears as they sprinted down the halls of UA to the support room. On the way, Todoroki called for backup. They needed to be ready for anything Midoriya may have planned, and they thought they were until they saw him.

He was trapped, surrounded by a pink fog and a giant purple orb. Midoriya knelt down, struggling to breath. He placed his hand to his chest; he was in agonizing pain but he was determined to see this through. Even if they couldn't get him out in time...Even if they couldn't revive him...

"No! Why would you do that?" Todoroki screamed as he slammed his weight against the impenetrable glass door.

"Just open the fuckin' door!" Bakugo screamed but quickly grew silent. He remembered Midoriya rambling about a portable safe room he saw there. He remembered that it was supposedly defective. He remembered there was no way in once the door was shut. He remembered everything all at once.

(Flashbacks)

"Kacchan, are you okay? Here, take my hand."

"We'll be the best heroes there ever was! The Wonder Duo will save the day!"

"Kacchan, I...I'm quirkless, but I can't give up. I'll keep fighting by your side."

"...Swan dive..."

"Why are you pushing me away? I thought you were my friend."

"You wanna be a hero so bad? I've got a time saving idea for you. If you think you'll have a quirk in your next life...go take a swan dive off the roof."

"I'll make use of this borrowed quirk!"

"...Off the roof..."

"You're the best! That's why I want to defeat you."

"I swear, I will never hurt him again. I just want to be with him...with them."

"I love both of you."

"Sweet dreams, Izuku. Everything else can wait until tomorrow."

(Flashbacks Over)

No! Everything can't wait until tomorrow. I need you now! I'm sorry for everything;I just need you to be okay!

Bakugo sobbed letting off explosion after explosion, trying to break through to his boyfriend, but the glass wouldn't so much as crack. Todoroki tried to do the same with his fire and ice, but again it was no use.

Midoriya began coughing up blood, as the purple orb slammed frantically against the glass and taped vents trying to escape and find a new host in time.

"Izu," Todoroki whimpered, placing his hand on the glass. Midoriya used every ounce of energy he had left to crawl to the door, placing his hand on his side of the glass. Bakugo joined in. "I love you so much. Please don't do this," Todoroki pleaded before throwing himself into Bakugo's arms and burying his face.

Midoriya coughed again, this time splattering blood against the glass.

"Where the fuck is she?!" Bakugo cursed.

Todoroki felt his heart stop with each passing second, as he watched the purple orb flickering out of the corner of his eye. He could see Midoriya holding on just barely. As much as he hated that orb with everything in him, he needed it to stay lit. Because if that evil entity died without a new host, Midoriya died with it.

SLAM

The door to the support department's main room swung open and in entered Mei Hatsume, breathing heavily. "There you are! Where is he?!" She asked in a panic.

"Hatsume!" Midoriya said, finally finding the strength to speak, though they couldn't hear him.

"Oh god, please no," Hatsume whispered to herself. "Tell me he didn't use the–" she cut herself off when she saw the shattered vial on the floor in the impenetrable room. "We need to get him out now!"

"How? We've tried everything," Bakugo cried out, clinging to Todoroki.

"Well not everything...How do you think I found out I couldn't get it back open in the first place?"

Before Bakugo could answer, Mirio Togata ran in.

Mirio was one of UA's Big Three, or the top three students at the school. He and Midoriya had grown close while working with Sir Nighteye. He took Midoriya under his wing, almost like a big brother, so when Hatsume called saying Midoriya needed his help, he didn't hesitate. "Where is he?!"

"In the "safe" room, locked in with that damn orb."

"What orb?" Mirio asked as the room grew quiet. The orb had vanished and left behind the body of a pale greenette.
