I shivered and felt the warmth of his body pressed up against mine. Every inch of him within my reach. My body felt like it was on fire every time he touched me. His touch seemed to make everything go away. I loved him and I couldn't deny that fact. He was going through a lot right now and I could understand that.

He needed me more than ever right now, and I was determined to help him. I wasn't going to let him down, not anymore. I wasn't going to let him push me away. I was only making him push me away. It only made this worse.

I felt lips press at the nape of my neck sending shivers through my entire body. I turned over and looked at Justin. He had a smile on his face.

"What?" I asked, smiling.
"Nothing. Just glad you stayed with me last night." He murmured, pressing his lips on mine.

I kissed him back with every ounce that I had. I loved him and that was never going to change. My body reacted to his touch, sending tingles to the tips of my toes. His kiss was like nothing I'd ever experienced before. I'd had boyfriends before, but none of them kissed me like him.

"I love you." I whispered when we pulled apart.
"I love you too. And I'm sorry." He whispered back, leaning his forehead against mine.
"For what?" I asked.
"For being rude to you. For saying those hurtful words to you that I didn't mean."
"You were upset."
"I know, but that's-"
"Shut up." I said pressing my lips to his.

The sound of the door opening broke us apart.

I watched as a doctor rounded the corner and went over to Mrs. Dawson's bed to check her out.

"How is she?" Justin asked, getting to his feet.
"Still the same." The doctor said, sighing.

Justin cringed and looked at his mom, his eyes full of worry and pain.

I got up and went over to him and wrapped my arms around him.

"It'll be okay." I whispered.

He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer to him, as if needing the comfort.

"What about the tube that was in her throat, what happened to it?" I asked, looking at the doctor.
"We used that to clear anything that wasn't supposed to be there." He explained.
"So, it's all clear now." I asked.
"Yes." The doctor replied.
"What is the plan now?" Justin asked.
"I don't know son, it all depends on your mom here. Talking to her may help. Try to get her to respond to your voice." He explained.

Justin pulled away from me and walked over to his mom. He picked up her hand and held it firmly in between his.

"Mom, it's me Justin." He said.

Nothing. She stayed in the same position. She hadn't responded to anything.

"Try again." The doctor told him.
"I need you to wake up mom, please. I need you. I love you mom, please." Justin begged.

She didn't respond.

I walked over and stood by Justin. I looked down at his mom and sighed. I picked up her other hand and held it.

"Mrs. Dawson, please you have to wake up. We need you to wake up. Justin needs you to wake up. Please." I said.

I felt her squeeze my hand softly. It was barely even a squeeze but it was what I was hoping for.

"She responded!" The doctor said shocked.
"Mom! Come on! Do it again!" Justin pleaded.

I watched his face intently. I watched as his eyes widened when he felt her squeeze his hand.

"She... she..." he said, not able to form a sentence.
"I know." I told him, hugging him.
"This is a good sign. She's responding which is what we were hoping for." The doctor told us.
"Does this mean she'll wake up soon." Justin asked.
"Maybe. It all depends. Try talking to her every day. It may work." The doctor said and walked out of the room.
"This is great Justin, really." I said, kissing him on his cheek.

He pulled me to him and hugged me.

He had been so worried. I'd never seen him this happy, since his mom was in that accident. Nothing was back to normal yet, but maybe everything was going to turn out good in the long run.

Justin's mom was obviously on her way to recovery and hopefully so was Justin. He needed to be back to normal. I couldn't stand seeing him this way anymore.

My phone buzzed in my pocket and I pulled it out and looked at the screen.

Mary Anne's name popped up on the screen and I flipped it open.

"Hello?" I asked.
"L-Lilly!" She cried into the phone.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked her.
"L-Logan, h-he's c-cheating o-on m-me!" She said, her voice getting harder to understand because she was crying so bad.
"Okay. Mary Anne, you need to calm down. I need you to start from the beginning and tell me everything." I told her gently.

I heard her take a deep breath to calm herself.

"Okay. I was walking to the coffee shop up the street from my house and when I walked in I saw Logan. I was surprised at first, because I didn't think he would be there. He never goes to a coffee shop. So when I went to say hi to him, I saw a girl walk over to him and kiss him! She kissed him Lilly! I was too shocked to do anything so I ran out of the coffee shop as fast as I could. I don't know if Logan saw me. But he keeps calling my phone."

I frowned. Logan would never do that to Mary Anne. He loved her. You could see it in his eyes every time he looked at her. Maybe I was wrong, but I know that Logan would never do that.

"Are you sure it's not a misunderstanding?" I asked her.
"I don't know. I haven't spoken to him. I'm not answering his calls." She told me.
"Okay..." I said, not knowing what else to say.
"Come over. Please?" She asked.
"Okay. I'll be there as soon as I can."

I hung up after she did and turned to look at Justin. He was staring at me with an odd expression on his face.

"What?" I asked.
"Nothing." He replied.
"Okay. Well I have to go to Mary Anne's." I told him, kissing him on the cheek.
'Why?" He asked.

I explained the whole story and watched his facial expressions.

"He would never do that to her." He told me.
"I know. But there's obviously something going on, otherwise he wouldn't have kissed that girl."
"Yeah." He replied, agreeing with me.

I smiled and walked to the door.

"Hurry back." Justin said.
"I will." I told him and walked out the door.
