I woke up to the sun shining in from the windows. The sun reflecting off the windows, making it light up the whole room.
I yawned and rolled over, but instead of rolling into Justin, I rolled into nothing. Where had he gone? It was only 9.30.
Crap! School. I shot out of bed and attempted to walk to the bathroom, but my feet got caught in the sheets and I ended up tumbling over and falling to the ground.
I heard someone burst out laughing behind me, and I looked up and glared at him.
"You wouldn't find this funny if it was you!"
"No. But it's not me, it's you, therefore it's okay for me to laugh." He said, still chuckling.
"Whatever." I scowled.
"Aw come on, you gotta admit, that was just downright hilarious."
I shook my head and got up. "I have school, in case you haven't already realised. I'm already late."
"No, you're not." He said coming over and picking up the sheets up off the ground.
"Yes, I am."
"I called you in."
'What?! Why?!"
"Because you're spending time with me today." He replied, still chuckling.
I crossed my arms over my chest and looked at him. "You have no right-"
"Are you saying you don't want to spend time with me?"
"Well no but-"
"Then shut up and quit acting like a drama queen. "I rolled my eyes and made my way to the bathroom. I wasn't exactly sure if they had a shower in Mrs. Dawson's room. I sighed when there wasn't any sign of one, and just figured I'd take one when I got home later.
I pulled the hair tie out of my hair and put it into a ponytail so none of my hair was sticking out. I didn't bring any extra clothes so I would have to stick with the ones I had on for now.
I washed my face, and then walked out of the bathroom, only to find Justin, showered and dressed.
He was beautiful. If beautiful could even describe it. His blond hair was wet and dripping, he had a green shirt on, and a pair of dark blue jeans. His eyes were a glowing blue, unlike most days, and he smelled amazing.
It was all just another reminder that I was in love with my best friend. But it hurt to think, that he didn't feel the same way. Maybe in the long run, things would turn out the way I wanted them to.
"You ready?" Justin asked, standing up.
"Where are we going?"
He smiled and motioned for me to follow him. "You'll see."
"Justin!" I whined. "You know I hate surprises."He ignored me and walked out of the room, I followed him and sighed. He knew I hated surprises, so why did he intend on torturing me?
I followed him out to his car and watched him get in.
"Get in." He demanded.
"What about my car?"
"We're coming back, Lilly."I sighed and got in the passenger's side of the car. Justin drove off and turned onto the road. I watched as he went through every stoplight, before he finally turned. The suspicion of where we were going gnawing at me. Driving me absolutely crazy.
"Where are we going?" I asked again. He chuckled. "I told you, you'll see."
"Justin!! Tell me!!" I pleaded. He didn't answer me and kept driving.
"Justin."
No answer. I sighed and gave up. There was no point in even trying if it wasn't worth it.
Eventually we pulled into a parking lot, in front of an expensive restaurant. Justin turned off the ignition and turned and looked at me.
"Don't even think about giving me a hard time about this." He stated.
"But-"
"Lilly. Get out of the car. Now."I muttered something incoherently and forced myself to get out of the car. I watched as Justin got out and walked over around to my side.
"I'm not dressed for this!" I whispered to him.
"You look fine." He replied and opened the door for me.I scowled and watched as he got us a table in the very back, by the windows.
I sat down and he sat down beside me. I sighed and picked up the menu, knowing it was impossible to argue with him.
"At least try and enjoy it." He said, smiling.
I didn't answer him. If he was going to do this to me, I could do it to him. Two can play at that game.
"Lil. Answer me."
I kept my eyes averted on the menu until the waitress came and took our order. After she'd walked off Justin turned and looked at me.
"Answer me; you know you can't stay mad at me forever."
"No. But I can try." I said, giving up.He chuckled and played with the lines on the table.
"Justin, why are you doing this?"
He shrugged. "I just wanted to spend some time with you. It seems like that never happens anymore."
"Okay." I smiled. When we finished eating, Justin paid the bill and then led me back outside to his car.
We spent the rest of the day catching up on things, we hung out at the mall and we went skating and several different things.
I sighed, as the sun started going down behind the clouds.
"We have one more stop, before I take you home." Justin said.
"Where are we going now?" I asked.
"We're already here."
I frowned and looked around. "We're in a park."
"Exactly." He said and got out of the car.I sighed and followed him. He led me over to where a bunch of people were standing.
"What's going on?" I asked him.
But before he could answer; a streak of light shot across the sky, lighting up the whole park. Then another, and another shot up in the sky in different shapes.
"Fireworks?" I asked, my voice high pitched.
Justin smiled and watched as the last firework shot up in the sky.
I smiled. "That was amazing."
"It's not over yet."And right on cue, music started playing. People started grabbing their partners and dancing.
Justin pulled me into his arms and wrapped his arms around my waist. I felt the shock of electricity shoot through my body like it was on fire.
"Justin..."
"Hush." He said, putting his finger to my lips.I sighed and leaned my head on his shoulder as he led us into a dance.
I closed my eyes and took everything in. The feel of his arms around me; his breath on my cheek and the sound of the music.
