Anon woke up to the sound of Abbie quietly talking, half asleep. Anon sat up and looked at his left leg. The cardboard he had slept on was stained with blood nearer where his left leg and left arm where. He turned over to look at Abbie, her face was screwed up into a frustrated look.
"Mother?" Whispered Abbie, sleep-talking. "Yes, I-It's me. I know it's the Flux."
Anon looked down at his right arm where Abbie had spread the Flux to him. The small hand print around his arm had become bigger and more consistent, he went to touch it but hesitated - afraid of it spreading to his other arm. He sat up against the silver metallic wall and glanced at the others. Christine was sprawled out over the distance of the cardboard, drooling slightly. Alice laid on her left side hugging her legs, burying her face into her knees. Luis laid on his right side, resting his head on his arm, facing the wall. Abbie began to talk louder.
"No. No. No. Don't do that.." She said, twisting and turning, "Stop.."
Anon shifted over, closer to Abbie. He shook her shoulder slightly with his already-contaminated-arm. "Abbie, wake up" He whispered, worrying.
"Abbie it's just a dream"
Abbie slowly opened her eyes, stretching. "Whut?." She said, not even trying to sound remotely awake.
"You were talking in your sleep" Said Anon, looking away and retrieving his now more-Fluxed arm/hand.
"Oh" She said, looking confused. She sat up, stretching again, and leaned back against the wall.
"Will you guys shut up?" Said Christine, raising her head from the ground to look at the two of us, "I'm sleeping". She closed her eyes and rested her head back on the cardboard.
Anon took out his pocket watch and looked at the time. "It's 9:00 Am" Said Anon, yawning.
"Ugg.. Fiine" Said Christine, slowly sitting up. "What are we even doing today?"
"I think Alice wanted to go and explore closer to the working area of the asylum" Said Anon, glancing at Alice who was still sleeping.
"Sounds dangerous" Said Abbie
"It's fine" Said Anon reassuringly, "It'll be fine"
An hour had passed now and everyone was awake and quietly talking. "Well. I think we should head off. Which way Alice?". Alice pointed to the tunnel entrance above Christine's 'bed'. Alice got up and walked over to the entrance, she climbed inside and started following the tunnel. Anon follow her and climbed inside, the others did the same. They crawled along the tunnel and finally came to a large investigation room.
Papers littered the floor, picture of people covered the walls and spilt coffee glazed the tables. To the left of them there was a oneway glass room, used to investigate specific unstable people. To the right was another make-shift surgery room with surgical tools on a table to the side of it, but the tools were cleaner. They all stepped inside and started looking around. Suddenly a door opened and a man in a business suit walked in, he looked at the four of them (Not including Alice as she was not seen) and took out a strange device that looked like a scanner-like thing. He walked over to Abbie and scanned her neck. The business man looked at the scanner, confusion spread across his face.
"Y-You're not registered?" He said, looking at Abbie. Abbie stood there, frozen in place, still in shock from the new acquaintance. The man then walked over to Anon and scanned him, "You're not registered either?" The man said, now incredibly confused. He walked over to Christine and scanned her as well. He then walked over to Luis and scanned him. "None of you are registered?" He said, looking at Anon, "How so?"
"We came from a different area of this asylum" Said Anon, trying to sound confident.
The man quickly rushed out of the room and returned with armed guards before anyone could talk to each other. The guards grabbed hold of Anon, Christine and Luis. A different guard wearing a hazmat suit grabbed Abbie. The guards blind folded all of them and escorted them out of the room. Alice quietly followed.
The blind folds were taken off the reveal a white room, Anon, Abbie and Christine were sat in chairs at the side of the room whilst luis was in the middle being held down by a guard. Anon went to shout out and go over to luis but the guard next to Anon slapped him which made him stop protesting. Luis's face was pressed down against the table in the middle, the business man loomed over him, inserting something into what seemed like a gun. The man pressed the gun to the back of Luis's neck and pulled the trigger. Luis screamed out in pain as the microchip shaped object was embedded into his skin. "You are now registered, Luis" The man said, smirking. He threw Luis to the seats and asked for Christine. Christine stood up and slowly walked to the table. Her face was pressed into the table and she was shot in the back of the neck with the microchip. She screamed out in pain, louder than Luis. She was thrown back to her seat. The man put on some rubber gloves and called for Abbie. Abbie stood up, her whole body shaking, she finally reached the table. Her face was pushed into the table and she was shot in the neck, the microchip slid deep into the flesh at the back of her neck. She Also Screamed In pain. As she recovered from the pain and lifted herself off of the table, she revealed a Flux mark on the table where her face had been. She was thrown back to the chairs. Anon stood up, not needing his name to be called. He walked over to the table, his face was pressed into the Flux patch left by Abbie and he was shot in the back of the neck. Anon grunted, the pain not as bad as when he tore his leg off.
"You are now all registered" Said the business man.
