Anon's bloodshot eyes opened, his pupils darted left and then right. He slowly stood up on his single leg. He was at Mothers castle again. Anon hopped over to the stone grey wall and used it as a support to walk further. He made his way over to the tall door that leaned over him in one of the corners in the room. He was faced with a set of stairs that lead to the roof, the struggle of climbing the stairs was unreal, his energy at this point was very low. Upon reaching the top he was greeted with the cool breeze and sunshine of a summers day, the sky was blue and silence swept through the wind. Flux carpeted the roof, footprints scattered across as if the owner was running.
"Anon?" Asked a calm voice.
Anon swivelled around in the direction of the voice. Mother stood behind a table, her black cloak draped over her, casting a shadow over her face. She perfectly stood straight, her breathing and speech was very calming. On the table in front of her laid an un-moving body, a purple-stained sheet covered it as if it were a corpse.
"I need you to save this one" Mother swiftly whipped the sheet from the body, revealing Abbie "I have gifted you already"
Anon searched his pockets for anything that mother could have 'gifted' him with. He suddenly realised he could stand straight, he looked down at his legs. His missing left leg had been replaced with a purple mess of flux. Anon took a step on his new leg, he moved his weight onto it and jumped once, testing it out. Anon looked up to thank Mother but she had vanished. Anon walked over to the table where Abbie's body had originally laid, only a purple outline remained on the table.
Anon began to steadily walk around normally, he began to search the roof for anything useful or valuable. He peered over the side to see the scenery, a waste land of Flux and pollution circled the castle. Rotting corpses of animals littered the land, all bleeding with Flux. Anon turned away from the landscape and went back to the table and chairs. He slowly sat down on one of the chairs, which creaked under the weight. A diary caught Anon's eye, he picked it up from underneath the chair to the right of him and cautiously opened it. The first page was a picture of a flat green landscape with annotations such as "Cafeteria", "Garden", "Entrance" etc. The next page was a picture of heavy-machinery digging into the landscape, many workers looked as if they were rushing about. After a few more pictures of the construction process the building was finally complete, three people stood in front of the finished building, a man, a child and a woman, the man oddly looked a lot like a younger version of Noah Shackleton, the child had long black hair but the picture didn't show detail into the faces of the girl or the woman. Anon flicked through the pages more, another picture showed many canvases of abstract red paint splatters, all signed by N.S. in swirly handwriting. Near the end of the diary a picture of Shackleton in chemistry lab sparked up, the next few pictures where of him mixing chemicals and finally injecting the fluid into the little girl who previously stood in front of the building.
Anon slammed the book shut as footsteps were heard behind him, he quickly dropped the book under the chair where it was previously located. Anon stood up and looked at Mother who edged towards him.
