(y/n) looked over her shoulder and watched Jean disappear into the distance... the only thing that went through her mind was how adamant he was on taking her out.
The carnival lights in the distance shined brighter than ever with him standing under them, his hands in his pockets, and his eyes locked onto hers. He was too handsome for her own good and she couldn't help but feel guilty for what she did earlier.
(Y/n) looked over at Floch and then back at Jean almost as if comparing the two. While Floch was also good looking, he wasn't merely as tall as Jean and his personality wasn't the greatest. With being stuck-up all the time, he believed that he had a right of way to everything, and (y/n) being one them.
While lost in her thoughts, Floch gripped onto her arm tightly and shoved her into the car, causing a light shriek to exit her mouth from the unexpected thrust into the seat.
When he entered the drivers side it was silent, except the occasional sounds of breathing from the two of them. It was quite uncomfortable.
(Y/n) never really liked Floch and he was only there because her parents insisted on it. They had hoped deep down that the two of them would fall for each other since he was raised from a pretty wealthy family, but despite their efforts it was mainly one sided.
After a couple minutes of painful silence, Floch spoke up sternly.
"I hope you know, those kids will never be worth your time and you are not keeping your promise with him, you hear me?"
All (y/n) did was sigh at his remark. She didn't like the way he treated her or anyone for that matter, in fact, she practically hated almost everyone her parents had set her up with. She just wanted to meet someone naturally that she actually liked.
she watched the scenery go by from the passenger side of the car and hoped that things would get better. Although she did lie right to Jean's face about going out with him, she still felt a little guilty about it and seeing how Floch thought she was genuine, it made the situation worse.
"I... lied." she mumbled quietly, "I'm not actually going through with it... I only said it to get him out of my hair."
Floch exhaled a sigh of relief and he looked over to the beautiful girl that sat in the passenger seat, staring out into the dark night.
"Thank God." He said in return to her, "you really had me worried there..." he smiled and placed a hand on her thigh, giving it a light squeeze.
(Y/n) shifted slightly at his touch, feeling uncomfortable, and hoped he'd get the hint she didn't like it. She continued to look out the window at the passing streets and trees, wishing time would go more quickly.
When they arrived at her large, colonial home, she exited the car quickly, ignoring Floch to greet her father, who sat on the porch.
"Hello daddy." She said while walking past him. He was sitting out on a white rocking chair like he always did since she was little. He loved to make sure his daughter arrived home on time whenever she was out.
"How was the carnival?" He asked, rocking back and forth.
"It was pleasant-" she was cut off suddenly.
"Horrible." Floch cut in, "I'll have you know your daughter was being watched by some questionable men tonight."
(Y/n)'s father widened his eyes, "is that so?"
"Yes, sir. Dirty poor men who find no enjoyment in life except picking at girls." While what Floch had said was true, and the events of the night had proven that to a great extent, (y/n) did not want him to say anything so that she wouldn't get lectured later. But it was too late, his big mouth and stupid ego wanted to kiss ass.
