After one long year, (Y/n) decided to pick up a Job as a nurse aide in addition to her schooling to get experience, and although it had been a while since she and Jean broke up, not a day went by where she didn't think of him

She had wished her parents weren't so dramatic to send her away so soon that summer and she was still a little angry that Jean broke things off abruptly, but it was all in the past now. She had to move on and forget about it.

Forgetting was the difficult part but with the help of some new friends from her school, she was able to push her feelings aside.

However, during one day of work, there was something, or rather someone that made her completely forget...

The smell of fresh antiseptic and potent iodine drifted throughout the hospital wing. It was another boring day on the job with the typical patients you'd see. Some were there for surgery, some for just a checkup, and a few that used to be in the previous war, dealing with a tragic past. (Y/n) entered into one of the exam rooms which held a man that sat on the examining table. She looked up from her clipboard and locked eyes with his.

He had beautiful green eyes, dark brown hair, and a nice physique. She was almost speechless with how stunningly handsome he was. He seemed to be quite young too, around her age which she wasn't used to here. Most patients were older and on rare occasions would she meet someone as juvenile as this.

Her eyes returned to the clipboard and she cleared her throat.

"State your name please..."

"Eren Yeager." His voice was smooth and attractive. The mellifluous sound tickled (y/n)'s ears, captivating her for a moment.

After snapping out of her sudden stupor, she looked at the clipboard in confusion. His name didn't match the paper... is this some sort of sick joke? Or was he trying to be funny?

"Sir I need you to tell me your real name." She furrowed her brow.

"Like I said, Eren Yeager." He now smiled showing his perfect, white teeth. (Y/n) couldn't help but blush a little.

"I think I have the wrong patient... excuse me." She turned to leave but was stopped by his voice.

"Wait..." he held his hand out, "my apologies... my dad works here as a doctor and I came to visit one day and saw you... as beautiful as you are, I couldn't help myself to talk to you so I kicked the patient out for a minute to talk."

(Y/n) was shocked. That was the worst way to do something like that, the entire staff would go ballistic if they found out about this. She turned around with a slight smile.

"Well that was certainly not the best way to go about that but I'm flattered." She clutched the clipboard close to her chest.

"So... are you single?" He smiled again, kicking his feet in the air a little.

"Uh, yeah."

"Go on a date with me?"

"Mr. Yeager..." She sighed, "I'm intrigued by your proposal but I can't say yes until you ask me properly, and not by throwing patients out of their designated rooms."

"Understood..." he hopped off the table, "I'll work on that." He looked down at her name tag with a smile, "(y/n)..." he paused, "I'll uh, go get that patient." He gave her a wink and left the room quickly.
