Wedding planning was always deemed as a special and rewarding time. With picking out venues, flowers, and the dress... it was supposed to be fun and happy. For (y/n) however, it was anything but. She struggled to find what she wanted, and when she did, she would change her mind quickly about it. She was under stress for her own wedding and even though she had all the money in the world between her and Eren to make it perfect, it certainly didn't feel like it.
Venues in New York were hard to come by and since wedding season was approaching rapidly, it wasn't getting any easier. It had become so overwhelming to the point where she wanted to give up, but a last resort idea came to her mind which was thought to have fixed all her problems.
(Y/n) got into her car and drove over to Eren's job at a local business. He worked as a salesman, promoting products and reaching out to customers about buying the items from where he worked. As soon as she pulled in, she jumped out of her car and entered the large building, making her way over to the reception desk where a lady sat.
"Hello!" (Y/n) walked up to the counter making the lady look up immediately in concern.
"Oh hi... can I help you?"
"Yes... I'm looking for Mr. Yeager..."
The woman looked up in surprise, "You must be his fiancé... follow me." She stepped away from her desk and motioned for (y/n) to follow and as they walked down the long hallway, she couldn't help but feel intimidated by the fancy attire and how serious everyone looked that worked there.
The woman opened the door to a private room and poked her head inside, "Excuse me sir, you have a visitor."
Eren stood up from his desk and looked over at the door as (y/n) came from around the corner. His face lit up as he walked over.
"Sweetheart, what're you doing here?"
(Y/n) looked around a little nervously, "Oh I'm so sorry for coming suddenly, I should have called."
"No, nonsense. Everything okay?" Eren grabbed her hand and led her into the room, shutting the door behind him.
"Yeah, it's just that I'm so... so stressed."
"That's understandable, wedding planning is very stressful. Can I do anything to help?" He sat down at his desk and gave (y/n) a big smile.
She walked over to the other side of the room in silence, making her fiancé worry even more. She was acting strange but why?
"You know you can talk to me about anything, right? I won't judge." He reassured her as she continued to stare off without a word escaping her lips.
After a couple more seconds, she finally spoke, "I haven't been to my summer house in a long time." There was sorrow in her voice which made Eren sit up straight to focus on her more.
"Oh... oh no. I didn't even know you had one. What's kept you from there for so long?" He asked her.
"Yeah... we have one down in Charleston, used to go there every summer but now that I attended school, we never got to it." She sighed and turned around to look at him, "you know, I have a perfect idea."
"Shoot." He smiled.
"I wanna have the wedding there... we have a private chef and the house is on lots of land. I'll also be able to see my friends that I haven't talked to..."
Eren's heart sank at the thought of (y/n) not seeing her friends in a long time. It had to be so hard on her and it was. He stood up and walked over to her, placing her hands into his.
"I understand that. I would love for us to get married there with our friends and family. It couldn't be any more perfect."
"Really?" She looked up at him, locking eyes in almost disbelief that he'd agree to this.
