Making me NUTS!

It had been four days since Hyein had been born, and I was struggling to adjust to my new life as a parent. Taking care of a newborn was not easy. Hyein cried every second, whether it was because she was hungry, needed a diaper change, or wanted attention. She had been driving me nuts for the past few days, and I hadn't had any sleep.

I look like a zombie that had no sleep, I thought to myself while washing dishes. Hyein was asleep in my bedroom and I was exhausted, I felt like I was barely holding it together. My eyes were bloodshot, and I could feel the bags under them getting heavier by the minute.

When I was finished with the dishes, I decided to go to bed and lay down next to Hyein. As I slightly got on the bed, not wanting to wake her up with my weight, I finally put my head down on the pillow and closed my eyes. I was looking forward to getting some rest, even if it was just for a few minutes.

I got up carefully, trying not to wake Hyein, and walked to the front door. I opened the door to see Wooyoung standing there with a smile. I wasn't in a good mood, but I tried to sound welcoming.

"Oh, it's you," I said, trying to hide my irritation.

"Well, nice seeing you too," he sarcastically replied. I could tell that he was trying to lighten the mood, but I wasn't in the mood for jokes.

"Come on in," I said, trying to sound more welcoming.

"Thanks," he said, coming inside. He then suddenly stopped in the middle of the hallway.

"What happened here?" he said, looking around the place. I looked around and realized that the whole place was trashed. There were empty junk food containers and takeout trash on the kitchen counter, and Hyein's toys were scattered all over the floor.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize how messy it was. I've just been really busy with Hyein," I said, looking up at Wooyoung.

"I can tell. You look like you haven't slept for days," he said, looking at me up and down. I followed his eyes and noticed that I wasn't wearing trousers, only my top and underwear, revealing a lot of skin.

"I'm sorry, my mind is everywhere right now, and Hyein wouldn't stop crying. This is the first time in a while she's actually quiet," I said, scratching my arms up high as I yawned. Then suddenly, we could hear Hyein crying from my bedroom.

"There she goes again," I sighed. I walked towards my room to check on her. When I got there, I saw Hyein lifting herself up from lying on her stomach, still crying her lungs out.

"Hyein, what do you want from me?" I said, feeling exhausted. I picked her up from the bed and held her in my arms, but she cried even more.

"Mummy also wants to sleep, you know,"I said, getting annoyed at her cries.

"Look, it's Uncle Wooyoung," I said, pointing at him. Then she stopped crying. I sighed in relief.

"Here, have her," I said, giving Hyein to Wooyoung to hold as I found a pair of trousers to put on. Then I looked around my room and saw that there were a lot of clothes on the floor, most of them were mine, whether it was a top or panties.

"Hey, let's go to the living room," I said, pushing Wooyoung out of the room. When we arrived in the living room, we sat down on the couch. Luckily, the living room wasn't as dirty as the kitchen.

"Hyein is so cute," Wooyoung said, smiling down at her. Then he turned to face me.

"So, are you going to tell me what happened in the hospital?" he asked. Thinking of it, I was still mad to open up my thoughts. So I just stayed silent

"I guess not," he said but was slightly interrupted by me.

"Do you think San wants to be back in my life or Hyein's life?" I said, looking at him.

"Sure he will, especially when Hyein is his daughter," he said.

"You sure?" I asked him

Wooyoung POV:
"I'm sure he will, but I'll always be here for you and Hyein, even if San doesn't want to be a part of your lives," I said, feeling a mix of determination and concern for her. As I spoke, I couldn't help but wonder if this was the perfect opportunity to confess my feelings, but my thoughts were interrupted when I noticed that Hyein had fallen asleep in my arms.

"Dominique, I think Hyein is asleep," I whispered, looking up at her who seen to be also dozing off. Despite the situation, I couldn't help but smile at how cute Dominique looked while sleeping. I carefully placed Hyein in Dominique's bed and returned to the living room with a blanket to cover Dominique up, hoping that both of them would have a good night sleep. When I was about to head out I realised that I can't leave her in this mess.

Dominique POV:
When I opened my eyes I woke up in my living room couch alone, I look around the place to find Wooyoung that was just by my side but he wasn't here then a realisation hit on my head

"HYEIN" I yelled getting myself up from the couch and ran to Hyein's room but she wasn't there. I searched the room, but there was no sign of her. I started to panic so I rushed to my room. That's where I found Hyein, sleeping soundly on my bed.
I let out a sigh of relief, but then I heard footsteps getting closer. I turned around to see Wooyoung.

"You okay?" he asked, looking worried.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, out of breath.

"I thought Hyein ran away or something" I added. Wooyoung chuckled.

"Are you hungry? I made dinner," he asked, flashing me a warm smile. I could smell the aroma of spices wafting from the kitchen, making my mouth water.

"You made food?" I replied, my curiosity piqued. I had never seen him cook before.

"Yeah, come on," he said, taking my hand and leading me to the kitchen table. I looked down to see a plate of steaming hot kimchi and rice, garnished with fresh herbs.

"Wow, this looks delicious," I said, still amazed to see homemade food that wasn't takeout.

"Come and sit," Wooyoung said, pulling out a chair for me. I took a seat at the table and watched as he poured us both a glass of water. We then started to eat,

"Mmm, this is delicious! I had no idea you could cook," I said, pleasantly surprised by Wooyoung's culinary skills. I had always known him as a musician, but it turns out he's also skilled in the kitchen. He chuckled and replied,

"Well, I've always watched my mom in the kitchen and learned from her."

"I guess it paid off," I said, smiling at him.

"Definitely," he said softly, taking another bite of his food. It was clear that he was proud of his cooking, and I couldn't blame him. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and everything was cooked to perfection.

"So what are you doing tomorrow?" Wooyoung asked, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. I paused for a moment, considering my options.

"Mmm, I'm not sure yet. I might just stay home," I replied, feeling a bit indecisive. I knew I don't have any time for myself since I have to look after Hyein

"Ah, I see," he said, nodding his head.

"Oh, there's news about San," Wooyoung said, fidgeting with his food.

"Wait, what?" I asked, my eyes widening with interest.
