Dominique POV:
"Can I leave Hyein with you?" I asked Mona, my voice shaking slightly. She looked up from the book she was reading and smiled warmly."Yeah, sure. Are you going to the nursery today?" she asked, her eyes glancing over at Hyein, who was playing with her daughter Sofia on the floor.
"No, I'm going to the hospital," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Mona's expression turned to one of concern.
"Wait, what? Why are you going to the hospital? Are you hurt or feeling sick?" she asked, her voice rising in alarm.
"No, I'm going to check on San. He got into a car accident yesterday night," I told her, feeling a lump form in my throat. Mona gasped, her hand flying to her mouth.
"Oh my goodness, how did he? Does Hyein know?" she asked, her eyes flickering over to my daughter.
"No, she doesn't," I said, my heart aching at the thought of telling her.
"Anyway, I should go," I said, my voice breaking. I said my goodbyes to Mona, Sofia, and Hyein, my eyes lingering on my daughter's sweet face for a moment longer than usual.
When I got to the hospital, I walked over to the registration desk, my heart pounding in my chest. "Hi, I'm Nom Dominique. I was here yesterday night. I don't know if you remember," I said, my voice shaking slightly. The woman behind the desk looked up and smiled.
"Oh, yes, Dominique. I remember. It says here you should be able to see Choi San. He's in room 119," she said, typing something on the computer.
"And where is room 119?" I asked her, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Oh, go straight through that hallway and turn right, and you would find the room 119," she said, her voice kind and reassuring. I bowed my head as a thank you and walked over to the hallway and turned right.
When I got to room 119, I knocked on the door, my palms sweaty and my heart racing. I heard a muffled voice from inside say, "Come in." I took a deep breath and opened the door, my eyes scanning the room for San. He was lying in the hospital bed, his face pale. I took a step closer to him, my eyes drawn to the bruises that dotted his skin and the bandages that covered his wounds.
"Hi, I'm Doctor Jang Jaemoon. Nice to meet you," a voice said, drawing my attention away from San. I turned to see a man dressed in a white coat standing in the corner of the room, his hands clasped in front of him. I bowed my head in greeting.
"Hi, I'm Dominique, San's girlfriend," I said, giving the doctor a slight smile as I introduced myself. I then walked over to San's bedside and took his hand in mine, feeling a sense of comfort from the warmth of his skin.
"Is he asleep?" I asked the doctor, my voice barely above a whisper. He nodded in response, his expression serious and his eyes filled with concern.
Then, the doctor's tone changed, his voice grave as he said, "I have something important to say to you." My heart skipped a beat, and I felt a knot form in my stomach. I turned to face him, my eyes locked onto his as I braced myself for what he was about to tell me.
"What is it?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly. Doctor Jang Jaemoon took a deep breath before speaking, his eyes never leaving mine.

Jaemoon looked at me with a confused expression, his eyebrows furrowed in disbelief."So, let me get this straight," he said. "You want me to lie to your girlfriend that you have amnesia just to save you from embarrassment?"
