Dominique POV:
We both went downstairs, San still holding Hyein. I'm glad he loves Hyein as a daughter. I walked over to Wooyoung, who was standing next to the wall.

"How did it go?" Wooyoung asked me.

"It went fine," I replied, raising my voice over the loud music.

Wooyoung POV:
"That's good," I said, looking at how she looked happy.

"You're so beautiful," I said admiringly.

"Thank you," she said, with a smile on her face.

"Can we talk outside?" I asked, pointing to the balcony.

"Yeah, okay," she said, walking to the balcony. I followed her and shut the sliding door behind us so we couldn't hear the loud music. We both looked at the view, the city lights twinkling in the distance. I started to speak, my heart racing with anticipation.

"Um, so are you guys back together?" I asked, now looking at her intently.

"No, we're not," she said, her voice softening.

"He said he just wants to be in Hyein's life." She added

"Oh, okay," I said, taking a deep breath, feeling a glimmer of hope inside me.

"Dominique, I'm in love with you. I know I shouldn't because you like San and he's my best friend, but I can't hide it anymore," I said, waiting anxiously for her response.

"Wooyoung, I love you too, but as a friend," she said, her eyes searching mine.

"I'm so grateful for what you have done for me and Hyein, but I can't love you the same way I love San. San finally got back. I don't know, we might get back together, and I don't want to ruin that for nothing," she said, her voice trailing off. My heart sank as I realized that my love for her would never be returned.

"I'm sorry, Wooyoung. You deserve someone better," she said, walking towards the sliding door and entering the party. I was heartbroken, my emotions in turmoil. I realized that the person I loved didn't feel the same way.

Seeing her walk towards San at the party filled me with jealousy, and I knew I had to leave. My heart was heavy with sadness,

Dominique POV:
I felt terrible when I realized that I should have known Wooyoung liked me, but I was too blinded by San to notice. However, I need to focus on the future. San is back, and I might have a chance with him again. I walked over to San, who was still holding Hyein and talking to Mingi.

"Hey," I said, looking at San.

"Sorry, Dominique, but San just found out he's the father of your baby," Mingi said, drinking his last drop of whiskey.

"Uh, man, it's finished. Excuse me, guys, I'm going to get my fourth glass of whiskey," he said, walking away to the drinks table.

"Is he always like that, or is it the alcohol?" I asked San, confused about Mingi's behavior.

"He's just like that," San said, making me laugh at Mingi.

"What's this?" I asked San about the headphones on Hyein's head.

"Oh, these are ear defender headphones for children," he explained.

"Oh, okay," I said, amused by how caring he is to Hyein.

"Has she eaten yet?" San asked me.

"She ate two hours ago," I told him.

"You should feed her. Go to that room that we went to before," San said, guiding me to that room.

"Wait, I should change her first, then feed her," I told him.

"Do what's best for you," he said. I started to change her nappy but then decided to change her clothes since it was starting to get cold. I took some spare clothes from the changing bag and started to change her. I was surprised how quiet she was when I was changing her. Normally, she would pick a fight with me. Maybe hunger took her voice.

After I changed Hyein's clothes, I tied my hair up and started to breastfeed her. San watched me from the corner of the room. I felt self-conscious at first, but I realized that he was just being respectful of my privacy.

"Wanna sit?" I asked him.

"No, I'm fine here," he said.

"Stop that and come sit with us," I said, grabbing his hand and pulling him to my side. San sat down next to me, San watched me quietly as I breastfed Hyein. We sat in silence until we heard the sound of people shouting 'Happy New Year!' from downstairs. San checked the time on his phone before turning to me and saying,

"Happy New Year, Dominique." I smiled back at him and replied,

"Happy New Year, San."

After I finished breastfeeding Hyein, San checked the time and said it was getting late. He suggested that I should head home since I was with a baby. We said our goodbyes, and he drove off. I looked around for Wooyoung, but he was nowhere to be found. I decided to call an Uber and head home on my own. When I got home, I put Hyein in her crib and changed into a shirt and panties. I felt exhausted, so I climbed into bed and fell asleep.

In the morning, I woke up feeling guilty about yesterday. New Year's Eve didn't go as planned, especially with Wooyoung confessing his love for me and San not wanting to be in a relationship with me. On top of that, Hyein was crying this morning, which made me more stressed.

I got up from my bed and walked to her room. I picked her up and sat down in a chair to breastfeed her, and she stopped crying. Then a thought came to mind 'Did Wooyoung leave the party last night because he was upset?' 'Is he mad at me?' I sighed at the thought of him being mad at me.

After I finished feeding Hyein, I got up from the chair and walked to her changing table to change her clothes. As I laid her down on the table, I started to take off her top, but Hyein began to squirm, whine, and cry, making it difficult for me to keep her still. I tried to calm her down by saying

"Stop," but she continued to move around, causing me to get frustrated.

"Oh my days, Hyein!" I exclaimed as I struggled to change her clothes. When I finally changed her clothes I heard a knock on the door.

"That must be Wooyoung,"I said to myself. I got Hyein up from the table and held her in my arms and headed to the front door and opened the door to see San standing there.

"Oh, good morning," I said shocked but giving him a smile.

"Morning," he said.

"Can I come in?" he asked.

"Yeah, sure," I said, letting him walk inside.

"How did you know I live here?" I asked him.

"I asked Wooyoung for your address this morning," San said.

"You talked to Wooyoung today. How is he?" I asked.

"He's fine. Why?" San asked.

"Well, I didn't see him leave the New Year's party yesterday, so I thought he was sick and went home," I made an excuse.

"Oh okay" San said then it went quiet between us.

"Come sit down" I said walking to the couch and lying Hyein on the floor with her toys to get her distracted. San and I watch her play with her toys.
