It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and Taehyung and Jungkook were cuddled up on the couch watching TV. Taehyung’s heart had been fluttering every time he caught Jungkook’s eye. He longed to be closer to his best friend but didn’t want to ruin their precious friendship. However, he couldn’t help but feel the need to show Jungkook how he truly felt.
Suddenly, Jungkook turned to Taehyung with a grin on his face, holding a pack of strawberry pocky sticks. “Hey, Tae! How about we play the pocky game?” he suggested.
Taehyung had heard of the pocky game before, the game where two people hold a pocky stick together, each taking turns to nibble on each end until their lips meet in the middle. He couldn’t help but feel his heart race at the thought of it.
“Sure, Kookie!” Taehyung said with a smile, trying to keep his cool.
As they sat down facing each other on the floor, they opened the pocky packet and each took an end of a stick. Jungkook was a little nervous at first, not knowing how Taehyung felt about him. Taehyung, on the other hand, was nervous because he knew exactly how he felt about Jungkook.
They slowly brought the pocky stick up to their lips, moving closer and closer as they nibbled on the ends. Taehyung felt like his heart was about to burst with longing as they inched closer and closer, their lips almost touching with every bite.
Suddenly, they both nibbled a little too much, and their lips touched in the middle of the pocky stick. They locked eyes, feeling a jolt of electricity that made Taehyung’s heart skip a beat. They slowly leaned into each other, their lips meeting eagerly in a soft, sweet kiss.
It was like a dream come true for Taehyung as they pulled away, both grinning at each other with flushed cheeks. Taehyung finally spoke up, “I’ve been wanting to do that for so long, Kookie.”
Jungkook’s eyes widened in shock but then he smiled, “I had no idea, Tae. But I’m glad you felt brave enough to show me how you feel.”
After that day, Taehyung and Jungkook’s relationship grew even closer and stronger. They learned that sometimes taking a chance and stepping outside of your comfort zone can lead to the greatest rewards. They continued to play the pocky game, but now, they didn’t need the pocky stick to kiss each other.
