David drove Snow and Angie to Storybrooke General Hospital in his truck while Emma and Henry followed him in her car. When they arrived, the nurses helped Snow sit on a wheelchair and brought her in, where Dr. Whale lead them to a room where Snow could rest until the baby came

At the same time, in his cell in Zelena's cellar, Gold was spinning straw into gold as Zelena watched him

"There. That'll do" she stopped him when she deemed he'd made enough "You said it yourself: spinning clears your mind" she said, collecting the thread and using her magic to turn into a solid golden brain. She then opened a chest, containing Regina's hear and David's sword hilt and placed the brain inside "There's just one more ingredient to collect"

Knowing Snow had yet to give birth to her baby, Zelena took Gold to a warehouse near her farmhouse first. Gold was carrying a hoe when they entered

"There, dig" Zelena ordered him

As he cleaned the slots of the design on the ground, a circle with two lines crossing it perpendicularly and leading to an exterior double-circle with four bowls at each end of the lines, Zelena watched him closely

"You think I'll fail" she said

"I think destiny is destiny" Gold replied, continuing his task

Zelena chuckled "You're wrong. I can change it" she said, walking over to one of the bowls and placing Gold's brain in it "Once I fix the past, my mother will keep me" she explained, walking across the circle "Regina will never have been born, and I'll get everything she'll ever had" she put her sister's heart in the bowl "With the right ingredients I can do anything"

"Whether it works or not is irrelevant, dearie" Gold said "Because no matter what you change of your past, one thing shall remain the same: who you are" he pointed out as Zelena placed David's sword hilt in another bowl "And that is a fate you can never escape"

"We shall see" was all Zelena said as she inspected her work, pulling out a compass and comparing it to the one on the ground: the heart on the south, the brain on the north, the sword hilt on the east and Gold and Zelena standing by an empty bowl on the west

Snow was lying on the bed of her hospital room with David by her side

"It's going to be okay" he comforted her

"Is it?" Snow replied, concerned

"Our baby's going to be fine. It's never going to leave your arms" he promised her "I don't care who's out there"

"That's what we thought last time" she reminded him

"Yeah, but this time we have someone else on our side" David pointed out, looking through the window. Outside the room, Regina and Angie used their magic to put a protection spell around the room

"You really think this protection spell will be enough to hold her off?" wondered Emma

"It depends if your sister's brand of magic is stronger than mine's" Regina replied "If it is, no one wielding dark magic will be able to get in here"

"That doesn't sound like a vote of confidence" Angie noticed

"It isn't" Regina said honestly "But we're out of options" she pointed out before leaving

"Swan?" Killian called Angie as he entered the room, making her turn around "I heard the little royal was on his way" he said as an explanation for his presence
