Nasty Habits - Part 2

Night 4 - Neverland

The group had finally arrived at their destination: a rock wall covered with vines

"What is this supposed to be?" wondered Regina

"So what, Neal swung out of Neverland on a vine?" asked Emma

"If someone would be kind enough to lend me a hand. What do you say Saviour?" Hook said, going to grab the rope hidden between the vines

"I'll do it" David said quickly, stopping Angie and joining Hook

Both men began pulling, and Hook spoke in a lowered voice "You don't look so hot, mate"

"It's a hundred degrees in this damn jungle" David replied in the same tone "And I'm plenty hot" he pushed the pirate to the side and pulled the rope on his own, lifting the rock that was covering the entrance to Neal's cave

"Ladies first" Hook said, stepping away from the entrance

Unaware of what was going on between the men, the women entered the cave. When they were alone, Hook approached David again

"How much longer do you think you can keep up this charade?" he asked the prince "Don't you think your family deserves to know you're going to die?"

"What do you care?" David asked

"Why don't you?" Hook asked back

"What is the good in telling them when there is nothing I can do to stop the poison, when there is no hope?" David explained

"Well, if there's one thing I've gleaned from you, hero types, it's that there's always hope" Hook replied

"Is there something you're not telling me, mate?" David said

"Alas, hope and reality are most often worlds apart. I told you the truth: you'll never make it off this island alive" Hook said honestly

"Well, then this is between us. The only thing they need to worry about saving, is Henry" David said, ending the conversation by entering the cave

"Hook! What is this place?" Emma called out as the men came in "What are we doing here?"

Hook approached a torch on the wall and tried to light it, but David used his lighter to speed things up

"Neal" Emma whispered when she saw the walls covered in drawings

"This is where he lived" Angie realized

"Aye" Hook confirmed "Baelfire spent some time in Neverland as a boy. This was his home"

"So, you think he may have left a clue as to how he escaped from here?" Snow wondered

"Let's hope so. Or we'll be lost just like he was" Hook said

"Anything important?" Angie asked her sister after a few minutes

"I can't tell yet. I didn't know he liked drawing" Emma confessed

"He got it from his mother" Hook, who was close to them, said absentmindedly, earning a weird look from Emma

"I'm hoping Neal left something useful in the details of one of these" the blonde continued while the rest of the group searched the cave "Maybe a map? Some kind of clue" she turned and pointed to a half coconut with a candle inside "Hand me that candle" she asked David

"What about you? Any luck?" Angie asked Hook while Emma went to inspect another corner of the cave

"No potted bean plant or swirling vortex under the rug, if that's what you mean. There may be no rug at all" he replied "There are other drawings on the far wall, but as far as I can tell, that's all they are. Probably just a way to pass the time and keep occupied. You alright there, Swan?" he asked when he turned to find Angie staring at one of the drawings: two boys and a girl next to their parents
