The New Neverland - Part 2

Blue had been doing her usual chores in the nunnery's garden when all of the sudden the Shadow appeared above her. She tried to run away and back into the convent, but the Shadow was too fast for her, grabbing her shadow and ripping it from her back. Blue fell lifelessly on the steps, just as David, Emma, Hook and Tinker Bell arrived in time to see the Shadow fly away. They had all heard the fairy's screams all the way from Granny's and had come to see what was happening.

David rushed to kneel down next to Blue "Come on. Come on" he said, breathing hard from the running, as he checked her pulse "She's gone" he said to the rest when he could find one

"Why would the Shadow kill her?" Tinker Bell wondered

"No idea, love. But I do know the Shadow only takes orders from one person" Hook reminded them

"Pan" Emma said

Regina was at home when she got the call from the Charming's explaining what had happened at the convent

"Henry" she called her son, entering his room and finding him sitting on the bed, reading his storybook "Come with me. Something's happened" she said, leaving quickly and failing to see Pan's smile

When Regina and Henry arrived at the convent, Angie, Snow and Neal were already there as well and David and Emma were covering Blue's body with a blanket

"What the hell happened?" Regina asked, worried

"The Shadow. It killed her" David said

"Pan's shadow? I trapped it on the sail" Regina replied

"Yeah, well, it got free" Emma said

"Hook, let's go back to the ship, get the candle. If it strikes again we need to be able to capture it" Neal instructed his old friend, both men leaving, along with Tinker Bell

"Peter's the only one who could have done this. He's the only one who can control the Shadow" Angie said to the remaining group

"He's trapped in a box under the floor of Gold's shop" Regina reminded her

"So, Pan can still hurt me?" Pan asked, pretending to be afraid

"We don't know that" Regina tried to reassure Henry

"We have to assume he's still a threat" Snow reasoned

"And that he's after Henry" Emma said

"Then what am I doing here?" Pan continued his act

"He's right. He's not safe out in the open" David said

Pan turned to Regina "You'll protect me, right?" he asked her

"Yes, of course" she replied, hugging him

"Go. We'll take care of the Shadow" Angie told Regina

Both her and Pan started walking away before Emma stopped her "Regina, wait"

"What?" Regina asked

"Keep a close eye on him" Emma said softly

"I already said I would" Regina replied

"I know. He just doesn't seem quite himself" Emma said

"Really? You mean because he asked for me?" Regina asked

"No, I didn't... I didn't mean-"

"That's exactly what you meant" Regina said, not letting Emma explain herself "You can't face the fact that I am his mother too. And maybe, just maybe, he wants me when he's frightened. You forget, I have ten years of soothing his nightmares under my belt. He's fine"
