(Narrator's POV)
The Warp Pad sounded as Steven arrived on the Jungle Moon, but looked around and didn't see the Gems anywhere. He also noticed that he was in the dome area where he had the dream of his mother years ago. But before the hybrid could go find the Gems....
(Wham!!!)
He was caught with a punch from a smirking Cobalt! Getting up, he dodged another blow before going into his Pink state and blocking a punch before throwing Cobalt into a nearby wall. The Gem Lieutenant got back up and chuckled.
"So you've arrived, Steven Universe! Your precious Crystal Gems are here too, but they're preoccupied with the others! I have the privilege of getting to end you and this blasted Era 3 myself! Your demise will herald a return to the ways of old! Prepare to die, Steven Universe!!!" Cobalt exclaimed as she summoned a peculiar weapon: It was like a staff but both ends looked suspiciously like Breaking Points!
"Breaking Points?!?" Steven exclaimed as Cobalt laughed.
"That Bismuth you're familiar with.....she's grown weak but she is and always has been a genius with weaponry! How ironic that you will meet your end here by her creation!!!!" The Gem Lieutenant exclaimed as she charged at Steven, who dodged the strike before summoning his barrier shield and sending it towards Cobalt who smashed it!
"Die, you miserable abomination!!!!!!" Cobalt yelled as she brought her weapon down upon Steven who caught it and used his might to swing Cobalt into a nearby wall. But the hybrid knew he had to go on the offensive otherwise he wasn't going to survive this fight, let alone win it.
"Gahhhhhh!" Cobalt yelled as she charged at Steven again only for the hybrid to dodge it with his super speed and go into a flurry of high speed punches before sending Cobalt up with an uppercut that was followed by more punches as Steven flew threw the air and delivered punches with each pass before sending Cobalt back to the ground with an Ax handle smash!
On the ground, Cobalt was shaken. What was going on? Why was she losing to this abomination?!? She couldn't let this continue!
"You.....you blasted abomination!!!!!! Take this!!!" Cobalt yelled as she launched her Breaking Point spear at Steven, only for the hybrid to unleash a wave of energy that slowed down time enough for him to grab the spear and send it back towards Cobalt, who could only watch in slowed time as.....
(Smash!!!!!)
The Breaking Point spear went right through her Gem as she fell to the ground. As she lay dying, she looked up at Steven with a chuckle.
"N-Not bad.......Steven Universe. I only wish.....we could have fought more......." She said as her form gave out and she was gone.
"I hated myself for doing that to Jasper, but I'm not sorry for what I just did to you. And I won't be sorry for what I do to the rest of the Pantheon. Speaking of which, I have to find them and the Gems! But where could they.....?" Steven began to say until the sound of a tree falling could be heard.
"That sounds like where the fight is happening! I gotta get there now! But first..." Steven said as he picked up Cobalt's shards and bubbled them before sending them back to the Temple.
"Now to get to the others." Steven said as he flew off and followed the trail of debris until he eventually found the Gems struggling against Beryl. Surprisingly, Fire Agate and Dark Aura Onyx were nowhere to be found.
"Is this all you have? Pathetic. (Looks up and sees Steven) Ah. You've joined us, Steven. I assume that means Cobalt could not defeat you. That belligerent fool....." Beryl said as she sent a blast of telekinetic energy towards Steven who blocked it with a bubble.
"Try this!" Steven exclaimed as he sent a shield attack towards Beryl only for her to send it back towards him, forcing him to dodge!
"You'll soon find out that I am not like Cobalt. I do not make mistakes so easily.......GUH!!" Beryl exclaimed as she was sent back with a punch from Jasper!
"Oh really? Way I see it, you're just a Gem who thinks too highly of herself but knows she'll always be in the shadow of Dark Aura Onyx. You're only second rate, Beryl!" The Orange Quartz exclaimed as Beryl growled and summoned her twin blades.
"How dare you?!? You have the nerve to say that after your losses against Fire Agate?!? If I'm second rate, you're even lower!!!!" Beryl said as she floated in the air and sent a flurry of telekinetic daggers at the Gems only for Steven to come down and block them all with a massive shield, allowing Amethyst to sneak behind Beryl and slam into her, stunning her enough to where Jasper finished her off with a massive punch to her Gem!!!
"H-How?!? How did I fall to you?!?" Beryl screamed as her form gave out and she vanished as Steven bubbled up her shards and sent them back to the Temple.
"Two down. Two to go." Amethyst said.
"Unfortunately the last two are the hardest. But we've come this far and defeated Cobalt and Beryl. Why not go all the way?" Pearl said as Steven nodded.
"Then let's find them." Steven said. But just as he walked forward.....
"Steven!!!!!" Garnet exclaimed as Steven turned around and saw a red barrier separating him and the Gems!
"Well well. I can sense you've grown in power, Steven Universe. You should consider this an honor.... because I will be the one to finish you!!!!!" Fire Agate exclaimed as he appeared and faced off with Steven.
The hybrid was on his own, but he was more than ready for a fight!
