STILL IN MONACO
It was Wednesday and I woke up early to train. It was the first time since we signed the contract that we spent the night together without having sex. Just like a normal couple, I comforted Selene after her panic attack. Her story on why she's terrified of riding open vehicles was a curve ball I never expected. I never expected her to open up to me—but she did. She let her guard down.
It made me happy that she wore my clothes to bed and she slept calmly in my arms. She slept in my arms the whole time and so my left arm was dead by the time I woke up.
Even when I tried to move gently so as not to wake her up, she opened her eyes when I left her side. She was so beautiful. My clothes look better on her than those expensive lingeries she often wore.
"Are you leaving?" She asked while stretching her arms.
"Yep, I'm going for a run and then some weights." I responded because Monaco is a long race.
"Okay. I've asked Annie to move me to Hotel de Paris.Clearly, this wasn't a good idea" she exclaimed while she sat down. She covered her face with both her hands.
"No. No. Just stay here. I want you here." I protested.
"No, Lando. This isn't right. Sex partners don't spoon at night or worse have conversations like this in the morning." Distress was evident in her voice as she tried to look for phone.
"I think by now it's clear, I care about you, Selene. You may consider me as just your sex partner but to me your more than that."
"No. The terms were clear, Lando. You signed the contract." Her voice is on the brink of breaking.
I struggled to find reasons for her to stay. I can already feel her drifting away from me.
"Selene...let's just talk about this later. Please."
Every moment she looked into my eyes, she owned more of me. I knew I only had a limited time with her but I'm just not ready to let her go. I'm not ready to end it. Not when I'm sure I love her.
"I'll call my lawyers to terminate the contract" she tried to hide it but I knew she was crying.
She began walking towards the door and I walked to stop her. One thing about being a Formula 1 driver is our reaction time, I was quick to move and stop her from leaving.
"No! Selene, please. Don't be too rash." She continued walking and I just went in front of her to stop her "Wait just hear me out. if this is the last time I will see you, just hear me out"
She stopped and she looked at me and so I went on.
"I may not be smart. I didn't go to some fancy uni... god I did not even go to uni. Instead, I drive cars, I play video games. Well, I am rich but not your kind of rich. I am not the guy in your fairytale but you are the woman in mine."
