"Lando is really struggling with the Ferrari. The car just does the opposite of what he wants. Very stubborn especially the rear." Comments David Coulthard as they watch Lando in FP 3.

"Xavi, mate. I can't drive this car. The upshifts are terrible and I am drifting like crazy." Lando said on the radio and he seemed really annoyed.

I am still en route to the airport to meet Victoria and the kids before we fly together to Miami.

If I can't watch Lando's races on track, I try my best to follow his radio and onboard on my phone.

I'm in the car with Dimitri and had the radio on speaker.

"Lando sounded very upset. It's not going well with the new team?" Dimitri asked sounding concerned because he really has become a big Lando fan.

"Unfortunately, no. They can't seem to respond to his feedback and he just miss his old mates at McLaren." I said.

"Having you in the garage will help him a bit."

"I hope so."

We arrived in Miami just in time for Qualifying.  We didn't have time to drop our things at the hotel so Victoria, her two children, and myself went straight to the paddock. We were met by Carlos' team who escorted us to the hospitality area.

On our walk, Victoria asked Rupert how Carlos was doing  "So Rupert, did he make it to Q2?"

Rupert sighed "yes barely. P13."

If Carlos was P13, I was dreading to ask about Lando and Rupert sensed it so he offered the information.

"Lando made it. P15. He's struggling with the car all weekend."

"Thanks, Rupert. Hopefully they both make it through this round."

Victoria opted to stay in the hospitality suite with the kids while I made my way to Lando's side of the garage.

Caroline, his PR person from McLaren joined him at Ferrari, was gracious enough to hand me a headset to listen to the radio.  She messaged Xavi to ask him to put me through knowing it might help Lando get some positives off a frustrating day.

I stood beside his father, Adam, who was also there to support Lando.

Lando's still in the garage waiting for Q2 to start.

I got the signal that it was okay to talk while they are fixing his car for Q2 "Hey baby. I just want to wish you goodluck."

"Selene? Hey! You made it! Yessss you made it. Ahhhhh i'm so happy you made it." He said on the radio not caring if everyone could hear it while trying to look around from the cockpit. My sweet Lando. You can feel the excitement from his voice.
