I wanted to win this race so bad because it's been so long since I took top step and since I've transferred teams. I've been crippled with self-doubt. Also, Selene is here. It's been a tough four months for us, especially her. I just want to have something to celebrate.
I have been struggling with the car all weekend but on race day, we finally got the set up right except for a bit of understeer. If they can fix that then I can certainly win this race, my first with Ferrari.

"Just two more laps, bring it home, Lando" I heard Fred say on the radio with his strong French accent.
"Yeah. Two more. Let's go!" I replied with my brain hyperfocused on keeping it clean and just bringing the car home.
"And Lando Norris wins for Ferrari!" Jenson Button said on the broadcast
"Bravissimo, Lando! Bravissimo" Xavi exclaimed on the radio
"Yes! First for Ferrari! Thank you! Grazie!"I said with tears on my eyes.
I parked the car at parc ferme and looked to celebrate with my team.
I jumped to hug my mechanics and exchange high fives with Fred and the engineers. Then I saw her beside my dad. She's glowing with her long hair tied into a bun. She's wearing one of my long sleeved polos to match her tennis skirt.

I hugged my dad and then I hugged Selene. I faced her intending to give her a peck but she had another idea. She grabbed my face and gave me a deep kiss—to the delight of fans and everyone who saw our PDA moment. My mechanics cheered on and clapped as that kiss lasted a few seconds.
"Babe. Thank you for coming. You happy?" I whispered to her ear as we held on to a tight embrace
"I'm so proud of you. I've never seen anything like that." Selene replied as she kissed me again on the cheek.
"Thank you for coming baby. I love you"
"Love you." She said with a loved up smile as the FIA official pulled me for the parc ferme interview with Jenson Button.
