Anika said her goodbyes to the entire team. She made an excuse about doing her homework but in fact, she wanted to see Sendoh. Ryonan's match against Kainan will be in two days, and she wanted to wish him goodluck before he goes to a very busy training with the team tomorrow.
When Anika stepped out of the building, Sendoh immediately saw her and waved. He was with his team and coach Taoka. They are wearing their Ryonan high sweatpants and varsity jacket.
"ANIKA-SAN!! Congratulations!! Are you coach Anzai's assistant? Or are you ACTUALLY replacing him?? You were great!!" Hikoichi said in his usual energetic tone
"Hikoichi-kun, hehe, I uhh, I'm not replacing him... He just asked me to observe and voice out my thoughts." Anika said softly
"We'll pretend that we do not think that you are actually spying on us, specially on our ace, Sendoh." Uozumi said in a serious tone
Anika looked at Sendoh. She wanted to leave. She felt like her presence is not wanted in the group due to the fact that she actually helped Shohoku win. Sendoh started to speak as he smiled at her
"I'm proud that my girlfriend is Shohoku's strategist. We are going to be a power couple!"
"EHHH?? GIRLFRIEND?? SENDOH-SENPAI ALREADY HAS A GIRLFRIEND? WAAAAH! How come I didn't know about this????" Hikoichi went crazy
Coach Taoka hit Hikoichi on the head and said "Shut up, Hikoichi! Stop shouting in my ears!!"
"Hmpf" Uozumi said while averting his gaze
"Now, if you'll excuse us... See you in tomorrow's training!" Sendoh waved goodbye to the team and held Anika's hand in his.

"Akira, would you like to have dinner with us? My mom's home." Anika asked Sendoh.
"Wow, really? I'd love to! I'm just wondering, how should I call your mom now...?"
"You can call her Ms. Anzai. Her divorce with my dad has been... settled a long time ago.."
Before Sendoh could speak another word, he heard a voice coming from Anika's home
"Anika? sweetie? Is that you?"
It was her mom. She was watering the plants when she heard Anika's voice. When she went out of the gate, she was surprised to see the both of them holding hands. She smiled and Anika quickly let go of Sendoh's hand and looked down.
"Uhm hi mom" Anika said softly and continued to speak "Uhh t-this is uhh Akira Sendoh from middle school if you can still uhmm recall..."
"Of course I do! Wow you are so tall now Sendoh-kun! Very handsome too! Come in, come in!"
