Anika had a really good sleep. When she woke up, there was a smile on her face but it immediately changed into something else when she found out that she's not in her room. She quickly sat up and looked down at her clothes.
Great, I'm still in one piece.
She's still wearing the same outfit that she wore yesterday, black skinny jeans and a white sweater. Over her shirt is an oversized Varsity jacket with the name "SENDOH" on the side.
She stood up and made the bed. She looked around the room and locked her gaze to the picture frame on the desk. It's her with Sendoh back in middle school. The shot was taken when he was awarded the MVP in one of the matches he had.
She took the picture frame to take a closer look when the door opened
"You're awake" It was Sendoh smiling at Anika

On the breakfast table, Anika sat beside Sendoh. They all waited for her to wake up before starting to eat. Luckily, she woke up 5 minutes after Sendoh's mom finished cooking.
"So, Anika, I saw you on a newspaper! Congratulations!" Sendoh's dad asked, starting a conversation
"T-Thank you, Mr. Sendoh."
"Your parents must be worried about you. Do they know that you're here?" Sendoh's mom asked
Sendoh answered for her
"I actually called her mom last night. She knows that Anika's here."
"I see. How about your dad?"
Anika's lips parted but no words came out of it. She looked down and Sendoh knew that she was uncomfortable, so he changed the topic
"She's joining the basketball team this year. Right, Anika?" He smiled at her and continued
"She's great at it, actually. It's in her blood. She is Mitsuyoshi Anzai's niece."
"WHAT?? He was a great basketball player during my time!"Sendoh's dad said, amused
"Nii-chan! How long have you two been together huh? Is it since middle school?"
"Not really since middle school... It's just last year that we became official."
"WHAT? So those days were just like a fling or something??"
Sendoh's mom looked at his sister asking her to shut it! She then started to speak again
"Thank you for helping my son with his schoolwork. I'm pretty sure that failing his subjects is the last thing that he'll want to happen, as he don't want to stop playing basketball." Sendoh's mom smiled and continued
"We are pleased to finally see you, Anika. You are always welcome in our home."
