Chapter 2: The Bad Batch's General

Okay here's chapter two
The Bad Batch have a new General and it's Neve they're happy.
(Obi-Wan's POV)
I sat in my chair in the council chambers as the other members arrived both physically and on live call discussing what to do with Clone Force 99 "I have only met this squad a few times but it had been very brief" Shaak Ti said "they're most certainly unique individuals with unique personalities" Plo Koon added "which is why we need a Jedi needs to be stationed with them one that works with the tactics they use" I stroked my beard just as Cody entered "pardon the intrusion Generals, General I have the report you needed" "ah thank you Cody dear and no you didn't interrupt anything important" "can I ask what it's about?" I gestured for him to take a seat next to me "we're currently discussing on who we should send to work with Clone Force 99 hit bit of a blockade" "why's that?" I stroked my beard again "given how different their tactics are we need someone who's able to work with it" "well what about Neve" Cody suggested "well I know for a fact they clearly like her" "but isn't she dating the Sergeant of Clone Force 99?" Aalya asked "see the problem I do not, stronger together they are, balance each other they do" Master Yoda spoke up "Master Yoda is right if they're meant to be together than we will show support for them" I walked to where Anakin and Neve were with Cody walking in on the two sparring with each other with the others watching them "how come you two have to spar against each other?" Jesse asked "one it's a good workout, two it helps us both to keep sharp in a fight" Neve said dodging Anakin "can we take a break now?" Anakin asked "yeah I'm getting tired myself Ani" they stopped sparring their lightsabers deactivating "honestly you two are the most battle ready Jedi we have known" Appo said "well kinda have to be especially with how recent the Separatists attacked these past few months" "which is why we need to keep ourselves ready for anything that is thrown our way" the 501st quickly started their sparring as they both looked over to me and Cody walking over to us "did something happen at the Council meeting Master?" Anakin asked "we were merely discussing something relating to Clone Force 99" I replied to him they waited for me to continue I tucked my arms in my robes "it's nothing bad we were only discussing which Jedi to lead them and have come to the discussion for you to lead them Neve" "me?" I nodded "but they've done a lot without a Jedi with them plus I doubt they'd listen to me except Fives and Echo, I'm not sure about the others though" "you'll be leading them alongside Hunter I'm more than sure he'll help you lead them" I said reassuringly to my former Padawan "if you say so Obi-Wan" she said "right I'll go give them a call then" "thank you Cody dear" he left to call Clone Force 99 with Neve tagging along with him
(Later on)
(Cody's POV)
I walked over to the Marauder with Neve following me "you got everything you need?" I asked "yes Cody I got everything my comm unit, blaster, my armour, civilian clothes, robes and lightsabers" "I'm just checking Vod" I said ruffling her hair in a brotherly manner getting a small laugh from her as the ramp lowered letting Clone Force 99 out "nice to see you boys again" I spoke as Fives and Echo hugged Neve who hugged them back before letting them go Hunter kissed her as she kissed him back "I missed you mesh'la" he said "I missed you too" she replied "so what's going on Cody you said you needed to tell us something important, so what did you need to tell us?" Hunter asked "the Jedi Council have been discussing which Jedi to assign to your squad and have come to a decision one I know you'll be quite happy about" I explained letting them digest the big news for them "well which Jedi are we working with now?" Wrecker asked "that would be me" Neve said grinning at them Fives and Echo were grinning with joy "so starting today Neve will be your General listen to her orders when she gives them" I finished since Fives and Echo have worked with her back in the 501st so they won't have any trouble "let's hope Crosshair listens to her" I mentally prayed since Fives explained what happened back on Anaxes "wait really!?" Hunter asked a huge smile on his face as he looked to Neve for her confirmation "yeah I was surprised learning the news" she said "well I'll see you boys treat your General with respect, good luck to you little Vod" I called out walking away from the landing pad investigating something with Fox "what have you found?" I asked "well other than the Republic senate being shit and dumb except for a few senators the Chancellor is up to something" Fox told me his findings "we better get to work" he nodded in agreement we got to work removing the inhibitor chips from every battalion as we could under the Chancellor's nose
(Hunter's POV)
I watched Cody leave the area the sky started to darken as night fell "right so shall we go inside the ship or somewhere else?" I looked to Neve who was getting used to her position as our General "inside if that will be more comfortable General" I said adding the last part teasingly with a wink as we all climbed into the Marauder "there is a private quarters" "it's here" "you know where everything is since you've been in the ship before" I showed Neve the quarters where she'll be staying "thank you" "if you'd like I can teach you how to use a standard blaster" "really? I'm more familiar with this type of blaster" she held out the blaster Rex, Echo and Tech use "on our next mission I'll teach you if you don't mind" "that will be fine Hunter and thanks" she kissed me "we are going to see this everyday" Fives said making a face Echo smacked him upside the head the both of them left us alone we watched as they disappeared into the cockpit "something's never change" I nodded at the statement we had left Coruscant Neve walked in the cockpit wearing the armour that originally belonged to her mother she had been given back on Anaxes holding the helmet in her hand "now your part of the squad General!" Wrecker said patting her on the back a bit too harshly "yeah thanks Wrecker" "he is correct" "and since she's our General we have to listen to her orders and respect her" I looked to Crosshair for emphasis "uh huh you should fill her in on the plans we have" "right" I explained to her all the various plans we have in the privacy of her quarters "that's a lot" "yeah around 99 plans" she snorted a laugh "what?" "It's just it's fitting because your Clone Force 99" "oh okay I get" I picked her up putting her over my shoulders "says the one who's light as a feather" I teased when she brought me down on the floor pinning me down sitting on me "I may be light as a feather but I'm strong enough to take you down Sergeant" her tail swaying behind her I sat up touching her nose with mine "uh huh not that I don't mind getting dominated by you in a fight" "oh really and not anything else?" I grinned before kissing her on the lips before getting up "that reminds me I got you something cyare" I held out a wrapped parcel to her she took it from me opening it to reveal a vibrio knife in its holster she looked to me surprised "I figured if you had lost your lightsabers you'd have something else to defend yourself with, I could teach you how to use it if you'd like to" I said "thank you Hunter and yes I'd like that" she cupped my face with her hands pulling me into a kiss which I lovingly returned
(Neve's POV a week later)
I deactivated my lightsabers after taking out the last wave of battle droids "that's the last of them General Skywalker" "thank you Tech" I thanked him looking over the squad Wrecker was waving a head in front of Crosshair playing with the dismantled droids I shock my head before facing Tech to speak "Tech did anyone get injured?" I asked him "no everyone is uninjured I believe" he replied to my question and yet despite the win and the boys unharmed I could feel eyes on my back watching me and the squad causing my fur to bristle looking around scanning our surroundings I couldn't see anything "I've got a bad feeling about this" I said to myself in my head when Hunter walked over his helmet under his shoulder "you alright Neve?" I let out a breath as he placed a hand on my shoulder "yeah I'm fine" I lied not wanting to worry Hunter about it he definitely didn't buy it but said nothing about it "if you say so fluff-ball" I pecked him on the lips "come on let's head back to the ship" I ordered once out in space I occupied myself with the report while listening to the squad outside as they were talking my thoughts went to think about what had happened earlier "who was it that was watching us that closely was it Separatist spies?" I pondered to myself when a knock sounded on the door "you can come in" I said as Hunter walked in with rations in his hands standing next to me "you've been in here for a while it doesn't take long to write a report" he said worry on his face "cyar'ika are you sure you're alright?" I looked at up him making eye contact with him "yeah sorry it's been a long day" "alright then I'm biting what's wrong?" I let out a small sigh "after we took out those droids I could feel something watching us and I didn't see anything but we were being watched, I don't know who or what was watching us, I'm a bit scared Hunter and I never get scared easily" I said my ears lowered visibly shaken he wrapped an arm around me in comfort using his hand to make me look up at him "hey it's okay nothing bad is going to happen if anyone is after you I'll protect you" "even though I can protect myself, thanks Hunter" "hey I'll do anything to protect you love" I rested my head on his chest that was void of his armour he wrapped an arm around me as I let out a yawn "hmph well you definitely need to sleep" "no I need to get the report done otherwise I'm gonna get scolded by Cody for being lazy" "Neve you need to sleep your obviously tired let someone else do it" I grumbled trying to get back to work "all right you asked for it" I let out a squeak as he picked me up laying on the bed holding me in his arms "Hunter I need to finish that report" "I gave it to Tech to finish" I let out a huff of defeat giving Hunter a halfhearted glare "fine I'll sleep you happy?" I snuggled into his chest cuddling into him he let out a proud huff getting himself comfortable I let out another yawn starting to drift off warmth and love radiated off of him in the Force lulling me to sleep
(Hunter's POV)
I watched as Neve fell asleep listening to the soft snores coming from her as well as her heartbeat as it beat in sync with my own I rubbed her back while pulling a blanket over her and me making her into a little burrito Tech peeked through the door with the finished report in his hand staying silent to not wake Neve up I gave him a thumbs up while gesturing to close the door when he left he disappeared to the cockpit after putting the report on the desk closing the door behind him I kept my arms around Neve tightly everyone else was asleep except for Tech my hand gently scratched behind her ear invoking a very cat like purr from her as she nuzzled closer into my chest her face free of worry and full of peaceful bliss "no matter what happens I'll be here to protect you I promise" I vowed to myself moving some hair away from her face I kissed her forehead before falling asleep myself
(Meanwhile location Coruscant Chancellor's office)
(Sidious's POV)
I watched the recorded feed from the prob droid of my future apprentice's twin sister and future empress though I frowned seeing the interaction between her and a defective clone the Sergeant of the experimental unit Clone Force 99 no less before a thought crossed my mind "such loyalty and bond can't ever be broken, if I allow them to remain together they could produce an hair for the Empire" I smiled evilly as I looked at the list of Jedi to be executed or used as incubators for a new generation of Sith "they'll all summit to me when I crush any hope from them all"
(Later on Earth)
(Notch's POV)
I watched my siblings arrive home for a well deserved rest with their friends and family I hugged them one at a time we returned to our home "Neve you really should stop fighting for a bit you need to rest" "Hunter I'll rest when the war is over I can't leave you guys fighting alone" I watched Neve and Hunter have a argument "I agree with Hunter you need the rest I'm sure they can handle themselves besides it's healthy to rest once in a while" "okay I'll rest" I left the two alone to sort things out between them Clone Force 99 looked around impressed by the architecture and tapestries "wow it's still so beautiful and amazing" Echo said haven't been here as much no thanks to the Citadel mission but glad it's been made up "your highness Master Yoda is here" "thank you Amy" I went to speak with Yoda that involves my family
(Hunter's POV)
I looked around the castle where the twins had grown up in I stared at the thrones in the throne room glancing up looking at the Skywalker's family crest that had a dragon on it "that's cool" I muttered before going to look for Neve stumbling across her room I walked in finding her looking out of the balcony "so what's on the plan today?" I asked she laughed warmly "just enjoy what peace we have before getting recalled out in open space" "I thought you were going to rest" I said getting a laugh from her as she looked at me "ha now when have I ever listened to orders besides can't really with the war going on" I held her hand "so care to tell me about what your home does for festivities?" I asked she explained everything about her planet and it's many wonderful cultures "our home is home to many people of different cultures we celebrate together when I had turned 15 a festival was going on in my honour has been for most of my life" I listened lovingly as she went on about everything about her home "she's as bright as the sun and beautiful as the moon and as fierce as a raging storm but is compassionate to her people" I said to myself just admiring her beauty her wings fluttering slightly "I gotta say must be a great sight from in the air" I said making her look at me curiously slightly confused "well yeah it is at the right angle" she said "I can show you if you'd like to that is" she added sitting on the balcony's railings swinging her legs around onto the other side wings spreading out "yeah sure I don't mind but you sure you can carry me?" I asked "pfft uh what kind of question even is that of course I can you know what I'm capable of Hunter" she replied wrapping her arms around me tightly "ready?" "Ready" I replied before yelling holding onto her when she shot up into the air we started falling back down before she caught air under her wings soaring above the city "woah" I breathed in awe at the sight below "I was right" I heard her giggling "I can see how much you enjoy flying" I commented "yeah flying is a freedom to me something I love doing nothing is better than soaring on my own two wings with the wind ruffling my feathers, fur and hair" she replied with a happy smile "but sometimes for me it's a bit lonely ya know, since the only ones who understand are my siblings" she admitted "well you have me now cyar'ika, I wouldn't mind joining you on flights" I said "really you would?" "I would yeah" she kissed my cheek "come on I'll show you around Hunter on the ground this time" she said gliding down to the ground landing after setting me down onto the ground taking my hand in her own walking alongside her she showed me everything around her home "come on what I'm about to show you is very important and sacred to us" she took my to a grotto where a large crystal stood glowing with many colours "wow it's beautiful" I said a pool of water surrounded the crystal partially submerging it "this is place is sacred the crystal is of unknown origin but it's been here since Earth's creation or so it goes no one really knows" "what's important about it?" I asked "said to have healing properties and connects to the Force" she shrugged "it's full of mystery" we left rejoining the others outside as Fives was recounting when the Zillo Beast was rampaging across Coruscant "honestly when Neve arrived she was horrified by what we were doing before those gas bombs were about to hit the Zillo Beast she conjured up a force field around them" Anakin said eating some food "I was with Plo Koon evacuating the civilians away from the Zillo Beast since the poor thing was harmed during their examination" "she knows when animals have been mistreated because she's the living embodiment of nature herself" "huh?" Wrecker questioned "how should I put this well our family linage is said to have the blood or are the reincarnated gods that had shaped the universe itself guiding the way of life" "woah" "we're living proof of that" Notch took out a scroll rolling it open showing the legend of the gods that shaped the universe "wow" "there are many gods throughout Earth's history however according to an ancient legend there were two gods that predates the entire universe's existence Pandora and Malaphor one the embodiment of creation and one the embodiment of destruction" "so Yin and Yang" "my siblings and I are gods ourselves though we never used our full god forms well until Neve used her's to protect and save the Zillo Beast" "we had seen your highness we were there plus the incident was going live" "she gave the Chancellor a very strict and firm talking to honestly she intimidated him mostly because of how imposing she looked" "thank you Anakin but if he does it again I won't be so merciful" "oh the wrath of Nature's protector" Fives said in a wise man voice we all laughed at that "our bloodline goes back to the first king and queen of our kingdom blessed by both Pandora and Malaphor so the ancient text describes"
(Anakin's POV)
I watched as Notch talked about how our siblings were doing "speaking of them here they are" both me and my sister hugged them "hey Kayla how've you been little sister" "I've been doing fine oh sis this is Alf my boyfriend" "h-hi I'm A-Alf" "Alf she's my sister" "n-nice t-to m-meet y-you m-miss" "it's nice to meet you too why are you nervous for? I'm sure Kayla has told you about us" "I did" "sorry I'm nervous because this is our first meeting" "it's alright it's a natural response" "I'm Anakin Kayla's older brother and my sister's twin" "I'm the oldest twin" "and Notch is the oldest out of us" "when did you get a boyfriend Kayla?" Blade asked having arrived with his husband/our cousin Dusty "you never asked plus Neve had one as well" "what you both never told me" "you never asked!" I giggled at Kayla and Neve's shared response as Kayla showed her boyfriend as Neve went to hers "stop laughing at them bro" Duke spoke visibly unimpressed "sorry buddy I can't help it" after Blade met Hunter and Alf he seemed calm "weren't you that cadet my sister met when she went to Kamino?" "Uhh yes sir" "hmph if you break her heart you'll be dealing with me" "I will never do that to her, sorry if it sounds a bit cheesy but she's my whole Galaxy I would never harm or break her heart, she's important to me and I won't break her heart or hurt her, she's my whole world" "that's the response I wanted to hear so you have my approval" "fucking hell" she groaned out into her hands
(Blade's POV)
I talked with Hunter for a while after learning how he fell in love with my sister I mentally smirked "her kind and compassionate nature to others made this soldier fall in love with her" I noticed the look on his face "uh no disrespect but why are you smirking like that?" I realised I was smirking physically instead of mentally "oh it's a habit whenever I'm thinking about something mostly if it's funny" "yeah the last time you did that you pretty much scared RipSlinger half to death" "who's RipSlinger?" I looked to Hunter who was confused "RipSlinger was Dusty's ex-boyfriend before that he was trying to get together with me I think he still is" "oh he is Neve honestly someone should teach him a lesson" "maybe he'll back off seeing that she's taken" Anakin said as Neve gave him a look "I'm just saying whenever we visit Dusty before a race he tries to hit on you plus with you in a relationship now he'll back off by the way when are you going to make it known?" "Soon hopefully but until then we'll keep it under wraps" "okay" most of everyone here was reading the list of traditions here on our home "so if someone marries into your family their now royalty" Tech questioned "yes that's true most people outside our land tries to have ether one of us for our hands in marriage" "which results in denial mostly because we're in relationships, currently married or about to be wedded" "we all know who the previous rulers were and you are the current king Notch who takes the throne after you?" Cody asked "well if the previous rulers have more than one child the eldest has rights to the throne but are allowed to revoke that right we discuss who becomes King or Queen I hope that one day that Neve takes the throne" "will she? It is her choice to not take the throne" "I will once I'm ready or when Notch steps down which hopefully won't happen anytime soon" "I wouldn't you have the war to fight in and win no less and besides being the king is important I'm also the Senator for the entire Sol System Alliance" "yeah that's true" I sat down to eat just as my team arrived "hey Windlifter can you do that toast again" "wasn't that during the lodge's grand reopening with Cad still in charge" "we don't speak of him honestly that guy got on my nerves so much I nearly ended up beating him up" "I was there Hunter was there heck most of us were there Neve" I patted my sister's shoulder "still waiting for that chance to beat him up?" I asked "yeah pretty much" "here I thought I was bad when annoyed" "well at least I don't go to a Separatist Senator's planet and beat him up unlike you and Padme you guys dragged me with you" "yeah but you joined in" "you two did what!?" Obi-Wan questioned nearly having choked on his tea "for the record it was Anakin and Padme's idea" "snitch" the twins poked their tongues at each other me and Herobrine shared a look ready to pull the twins away from each other if they broke into fighting
(Herobrine's POV)
I picked Kira up in my arms while Milo ran around my husband's legs "Uncle Echo!" Kira said wiggling out of my arms to go over to Echo who kneeled down as she hugged him before looking at the rest of Clone Force 99 with Milo "who are you?" Tech looked at them fixing his goggles "Milo, Kira meet your other uncles" Kira's face lit up in joy after Neve introduced them to Clone Force 99 "guys this is Kira and Milo my niece and nephew" "nice to meet you" Hunter greeted them Milo and Kira looked at him curiously then at the other members of Clone Force 99 "you think the kids will like them?" Steve asked me and Neve I shrugged equally wanting to see how this plays out "we'll see how this plays out first, anyway how are doing? I haven't been able to talk to you since you and Hero are busy down in the Nether" I ruffled my sister's hair "oh I've been doing fine Neve still not used to the air down there but the kids have had no difficulties with the Nether" "well they take after their father" "oh that statement has never been truer" I kept an eye on the kids as they continued talking "speaking of kids when are you and Hunter gonna have kids?" Steve asked her "uh well we have talked about having kids but after the war ends, I wouldn't mind having kids Hunter's thrilled about the idea of having our own kids" "raising kids during the war isn't a good idea the stress would be way too much for you" "well if you seen Hunter protecting me I think I'd be fine" I decided to change the subject "well least the kids seem to like the boys" I brought their attention to the kids taken a shine to Clone Force 99 "well that's a sight" I heard Neve laugh agreeing with Steve as we watched "Uncle Wrecker what happened to make you get that cool scar?" I sighed "Milo don't ask him that, let them settle down first" "ah it's alright and I'll tell ya later kid" "aw man" "is there something wrong Kira?" Hunter asked her glancing over to me and Neve "I think we better go help him Hero" she said walking over to help him "you have a tattoo on your face like Uncle Jesse, Auntie Neve has one too" "you have a tattoo?" I picked up Kira "well yeah I got it after Geonosis I think, if I can remember correctly that is" "can I see it?" "Kira go play with your other Uncles" "okay" "you can see it later love" we looked over to see the others playing music with a band "well then care to dance Princess?" "I'd love to Sergeant" I watched them both dance together
(Later on)
(Notch's POV)
I handed my sister and Hunter two charms attached to silver necklaces one for each of them "these are for you and Hunter they're protection charms that'll let the other know when the other is in danger" "thanks Notch" "thank you Senator" I watched them put the necklaces on "this is my opinion but you really should announce that you both are in a relationship that way you don't have to deal with people like RipSlinger" "I guess I don't think I can deal with that knowing I snap pretty easily when it ether involves my private life and family" "yeah it'll be a good thing for you both" "I'll do it for you sis" "thanks Notch" I announced it after returning to Coruscant Padme gasped "I knew it haha the ship has sailed" I looked at her in confusion "I had a feeling this would happen Bail you owe me" "Padme talked with twins after Geonosis" Mon Mothma explained "I see thank you" "I'll say it's nice to see her in such a blossoming relationship Hunter and her have the most beautiful bond" "well my sister is a very special person with a strong will, heart and spirit and dedication to her home and the Jedi Order I'm proud of the woman she's grown into"
(Meanwhile somewhere else in the Galaxy)
(Hunter's POV)
I peered over Neve's armour-less shoulder to see what she was looking at while in Hyperspace boredom setting in me "are you that bored my love?" "I would be lying if I said I wasn't sweetheart" I said nuzzling her neck softly "but can I see your mysterious tattoo now?" I asked her "oh alright but it's only one" she pulled her robes away to reveal a tattoo the left side of her chest "wow" I breathed out gently tracing the outline "it suits you" "you think so?" "I know so when did you get it again?" I asked "I think after Geonosis honestly it's been a long time since I got it so I barely remember" "so how would you feel about getting another?" I asked her again "well I wouldn't mind getting another one, why do you ask?" "I was wondering if you'd like to get another one" "any particular reason why Sergeant?" I heard the tease in her voice "well do you want to have the same tattoo as me?" "I um Hunter be a little specific" "oh right so I got a skeleton tattoo on the left side of my body but I'm sure you had seen during Anaxes" "well I was focusing on something else but yes I did see it" "well the same as that but on the right side of your body" "like the full thing or just half of it?" "Neve you can choose" "probably only my arm and chest the whole thing might take a while" "well that I can agree on"
(Later on still Hunter's POV)
I quickly grabbed Neve's hand pulling her away from a few blaster bolts and into my chest "thank you Hunter but save the dancing till we win" "I don't see the problem dancing here and now cyar'ika besides cyare I love your dancing" "well if you insist why not" I danced with her while blasting at a few droids "when the war is over we can do this without avoiding death" "I forgot to ask you when the war ends do you have any plans" "well I don't know I might take the throne when Notch steps down but I do want a family after the war" "I wouldn't mind that at all as long as I'm with you"
