Chapter 5: Saleucami

Okay everyone here is chapter 5
Okay so this is directly after Aftermath during Cut and Run
Omega gets to see her father Hunter's werewolf side in person
(Omega's POV)
I walked around the Marauder taking everything in seeing a picture of Echo and Fives with two people one of them I recognised "hey Echo who's this?" I asked pointing to the person next to Mom in the picture "that is Anakin Skywalker Neve's twin brother" "twin?" I questioned before looking closely sure enough he had the same coloured eyes and hair "yep they're twins Neve's the oldest one" "she used to be the 501st's Commander next to Ahsoka Tano Anakin's student" "Omega if you get the chance to see them fight it'll amaze you" "what do you mean?" I questioned puzzled "well you know how Neve has two lightsabers" I nodded "when she was a kid younger than you she was a very good fighter" I watched a video of Neve using various types of fighting styles in her fights with droids and against criminals "she also was taught how to use various weapons from her home she was unstoppable when using duel katanas her older brother Blade always told the Jedi Council how good she was when using the weapons" "wow" I was amazed my admiration for her grew as Echo and Fives told me more about her and her family "Neve was well bullied by kids her age about her family lineage she had told us this though it happened after she had turned the right age for her training to begin" "at the age of 9 after visiting Kamino for the first time" "really?" I asked surprised that someone like Mom had been bullied "well instead of letting that affect her she trained hard becoming who she is now" "Anakin went through the same thing honestly I'm impressed on how much self control Neve had when someone bullied or harmed her younger siblings" I crooked my head to the side confused before Echo explained it "the twins greatest thing they ever achieved was stopping the terrorist organisation HYDRA with their planet Earth's greatest protectors known to all as the Avengers a group of unique individuals with great power sworn to protect the innocent and serve justice no matter the form evil takes" Fives explained putting power and admiration into his words to describe the Avengers "when Fives first heard of the Avengers when New York was attacked by the Chitauri, he became their biggest fan while also looking up to them after learning that our former General Anakin and former Commander now the Bad Batch's General Neve were members of the Avengers he had fainted from learning that he had always respected Anakin and Neve but after that he respected them even more" Wrecker and Crosshair who was busy cleaning up the Marauder's interior started giggling at Fives's face as he grew more embarrassed I laughed slightly before helping them out I tried putting a few things in a storage unit when Mom helped me I yawned feeling sleepy Wrecker, Fives had fallen asleep I sat down leaning against Gonky
(Hunter's POV)
I finished talking to Tech about our next move before seeing Omega sleeping "well this is a first" I commented smiling slightly at the scene in front of me "Hunter she's a kid, running from the Empire is no life for a kid" I sighed knowing Neve was right as everyone had their much needed rest "coming up on Saleucami" Tech called as we arrived to Saleucami Neve had grabbed her cloak just in case we needed to get supplies something caught her attention my eyes followed her gaze looking to Omega "what's up with her?" Wrecker asked as we all looked to Omega looking around with amazement picking up some dirt "woah what is this?" "That would be dirt" Tech answered "it's amazing" she played around in it I smiled with Neve before looking up seeing a storm coming "come on let's move" I said as we all walked towards Cut's place Omega admiring everything around her with wide eyes filled with curiosity "all this is new to her" Neve told me adding "I was like that myself when I was coming into this galaxy" "I know Fluff-Ball" I nudged her gently with a small smile as we continued walking I heard Omega talk to Neve asking her all sorts of questions about the Galaxy and Earth which she happily answered "so this friend of yours what's he doing all the way out here?" Echo asked "hiding that's what deserters do" "staying off the grid's not our speciality but he's been doing it for years" I said leading everyone to where we were walking to "and you trust a deserter?" Fives asked "why not we're all deserters now" Echo and Fives had the same look after realising that I motioned for everyone to stop as we got there staring at a tripwire Neve peered around me after bumping into me I grabbed Omega by her shoulder to physically stop her "what are we looking at?" Omega asked "a booby trap" I answered as Wrecker laughed "a single trip wire that's cute" Crosshair let out a loud groan at him he stepped over it activating another trap he yelled blasting the droids that popped up "easy Wrecker!" I said "was that me?" I watched Neve shake her head in disappointment at him as Sue and Cut arrived aiming their weapons at us her ears flicked up surprised "what do we have here more clones who have lost their way" Sue said teasingly before lowering her rifle "it's been a while boys" we walked into their house having something to drink "I see a few new faces as well as an old one" "Echo, Fives, Neve and Omega, Cut and Sue" I said while gesturing to them "pleased to meet you" Suu said to Echo and Fives "ma'am" Echo responded to her with a curt nod with Fives "nice to see you again Neve" "you as well Suu I have never been relieved to see a familiar face or two that is" Neve said "wait you met Neve before when even was it?" I asked we were surprised "when Rex got shoot here on Saleucami" Neve explained the whole thing to us from start to finish "ohh" Wrecker spoke in unison with both Tech and myself Crosshair stared at her "last we saw you, you weren't wearing armour" Suu said gesturing to her with a smile "well that's how long it's been since the last time" Neve responded "this is the third time that I've ended up crashing by here" "hold on third time?" I asked her confused "I'll tell you later" she whispered "so how'd you end up with this lot they rescued you?" Cut asked her with a grin "oh I'm their General actually" Neve said ear flicking a small smile on her face "when did that happen?" Suu asked "uh I think it was a month after the siege of Anaxes" "you all look tired and worse for wear what happened?" Cut asked "it's complicated" I said Cut huffed at me "sounds familiar Rex explained to us about the clones betraying the Jedi" he said "you talked to Rex when?" Echo asked as him and Fives stared at him shocked "was Anakin with him?" Neve asked "well he and your brother came through here yesterday he went on about some behavioural implant" Cut said "he must mean the Inhibitor chips" Omega chirped "the what?" I questioned in confusion looking at Omega confused I glanced to Neve seeing a flash of what looked like horrified yet scared realisation in Neve's eyes at the mention of them "Inhibitor Chips the Kaminoans implanted them into the clones to help modify their behaviour" I looked to Tech as he was on his datapad "Tech you said all the regs were programmed and you said nothing about a implant" I said looking to him "well how else did you think it worked" I watched Neve cover Omega's ears her own ears pinned back in anger "TECH HOW IN THE EVER FUCKING HELL WERE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW!" I recoiled startled slightly from Neve's sudden and clearly angry outburst with everyone present except Omega hair sparking into flames she realised what she did her ears lowered slightly as she calmed down her hair now normal "I'm so sorry guys I think the stress has finally gotten to me the last few hours have been stressful and not to mention it's harder to keep my temper in check" she apologised running her hand down her face "it's alright Fur-ball" I assured her resting my hand on her shoulder she brought her hand to rest on mine since what happened on Kellar and Kamino was still fresh for her "anyway changing the subject are you two together?" Suu asked as she and Cut were staring at us "yeah we are" "yep" when Cut and Sue's kids burst into the house slightly startling all of us "mom, dad there's a cool spaceship outside" "Shaeeah, Jek remember me?" "Uncle Wrecker!" Shaeeah gasped happily seeing Neve "Aunt Neve!" Neve laughed as the two hugged her "did you bring anything cool with you?" Jek asked "kids let them rest they've had a long trip" "it's okay Sue and Jek I did" she showed them a book about various Earth animals "thanks Aunt Neve" Shaeeah looked to someone behind me "Who are you?" I noticed Omega shyly hiding behind Neve and me "Omega" "we never see kids out here come on let's go play" Shaeeah said taking Omega by the hand to bring her outside as she looked at me unsure I nodded with a smile encouraging her to go both Shaeeah and Jek went outside with Omega in tow I heard a giggle from Neve looking to see Suu and Cut look at me with knowing looks on their faces "what?" I questioned in confusion before hearing Neve giggling I watched the kids play as Cut walked up standing beside me to talk "alright out with it what's with the girl?" Cut asked "she's a defective clone, like we are" I said "not exactly" "what do you mean?" I asked "the Kaminoans don't create without a purpose you all have one so what's hers" "it doesn't matter she's just a kid, not to mention that she's Force sensitive like Neve" I said while looking over to Neve as she rested "hmph battling droids was easy compared to raising a child" Cut chuckled "you have no idea what you're in for" "we didn't have a choice Kamino wasn't safe anymore" I explained to him "well neither is Saleucami" I faced Cut fully as he continued talking "Rex warned us of the storm that's coming Clone troopers have already started showing up I'm heading into town to book us a transport off-world" "we can take you to where you need to go" I said "you're wanted men it's too risky besides I have to do what's best for them" Cut added gesturing to the kids I looked back to the kids playing letting what Cut said settle I went back inside seeing that everyone was getting their food I sat next to Neve who had some food to eat "so what do we do since we're here?" Neve asked "me and Cut are going into town you can come with us" "yeah I'll come with you" I gave her a peck on the cheek before changing into my civilian clothes
(Neve's POV)
I pulled my cloak around me having taken my armour off to wear something that wouldn't draw attention to me while walking with Hunter and Cut to get a transport shuttle out of Saleucami for him, Suu and their kids I pressed myself closer to Hunter who wrapped an arm around me tightly after seeing a lot of Clone troopers in town without drawing attention "troops should be pulling their forces not securing a post the war's over" Hunter said "well it doesn't feel that way" Cut said we stopped as a ship was brought in "they started seizing ships about a week ago" Cut said "military ships?" I asked "all ships, they're tagging them inside that impound lot" we looked to see ships clamped down in a impound heavily guarded "the stall's up ahead, let's book the shuttle before we're spotted" we followed Cut to the stall "so where will you and your family go next?" Hunter asked "I suppose find a remote piece of land on a distant planet that's all we really need" "that's the key to not being found?" Hunter asked "you want to know how to disappear?" Cut asked "put being a soldier behind you and make a new life for yourself" "what do you want?" "I need to book passage for the next transport shuttle out of here" Cut spoke with the stall owner "those credits won't do you no good not without a chain code, new Galactic policy" "my what?" Cut questioned as the vender got annoyed "your chain codes" the vender pointed to a message from an Imperial officer about the chain codes "that's going to be a small problem" I said audial to Hunter and Cut Hunter hummed we watched as someone tried to board a ship but was stopped "it's not just ships they're registering people too" Hunter said Cut sighed "getting off-planet's gonna be harder than I thought" "let's head back now" we walked back as everyone was doing their part in helping Suu pack for when they leave the planet "Suu you, Cut and the kids can live on Earth you all will be safe there" "I see thank you Neve I can't express how glad I am to hear that" "anytime Suu" I said listening in on the conversation Crosshair was chewing his toothpick "it would appear that all public transport is now restricted without a chain code" "which Cut can't sign up for he'll be arrested when they find out he's a deserter" Suu said "the next shuttle leaves in a few hours codes or no codes we need to be on it" Cut said "I hope we can help them" I felt Hunter grab hold of my hand in his own "and we will Neve" "I said that out loud didn't I?" I asked "yeah you did" "it's just I hope we can help" I said he wrapped his arm around me putting his hand on mine "I hate being unable to help" he sighed through his nose pulling me closer to him "we will help them" he said "MOM!" Shaeeah and Jek came running in both of them panicked "Omega went past the fence she's in trouble!" I followed Cut, Suu as she grabbed her rifle and Hunter outside hearing the Nexus "been awhile since I last saw you use your beast form Neve" "never thought I need to use it again" I quickly changed into my beast form running towards where Hunter stood in front of Omega swiping his knife at its face it roared going to attack them both I leapt over them both with a roar pouncing onto the Nexus rolling it away from Hunter and Omega before swiftly getting to my paws standing in front of them both snarling loudly at it I looked to Hunter "stay behind me I got this" I said looking over to Hunter who nodded I roared at it warning it to back away from them spreading my wings out in a intimidation display it roared back circling around me I did the same growling as I did my fur bristled, my claws drawn and tail lashing behind me
(Hunter's POV)
I stood in front of Omega protectively we watched Neve and the Nexus circle each other before attacking each other Neve was clearly stronger and more faster than it she swiped her claws at it before biting hold of its neck flinging it onto the floor it swiped its claws across her face leaving a bleeding wound she swiped her tail like a whip at it than uppercut it with her claws she then flung the Nexus to the ground again letting out a roar with her wings spread out for intimidation the Nexus ran off in fear after Suu had fired at it she let out another roar at it before snorting out air shaking herself off folding her wings up afterwards "what were you even doing out there don't you realise could've been killed!" I semi-yelled to Omega both anger and worry welling in my body at the thought of her getting hurt "easy she's not a soldier" Cut said I calmed down realising I shouldn't have yelled at her like that Neve knelt in front of Omega "it's okay Omega you're okay you're safe" Neve said as Omega quickly threw herself into Neve's chest as she looked down at her letting Omega hug her before wrapping her arms around her being mindful of her claws before changing back into her human form "Tech think you can forge some chain codes?" I asked "given that I only just learned about them a few minutes ago I believe I can" "do it we're getting Cut and his family outta here, come on let's get inside now" I brought the two inside to be safe in case the Nexus comes back which it won't not after fighting with Neve in her beast form "Hunter are you okay?" "I'm fine" I lied making her look at me with a look "if something were to happen to you I would never forgive myself" I mentally shivered and tensed remembering the nightmare I had not long after Order 66 had came through I pulled her close to my chest while everyone went about helping Cut
(Echo's POV)
I sat in the Marauder's co-pilot seat going over what Hunter, Cut and Neve discovered while in town to get Cut's family transport off Saleucami "well this'll make it harder for us to move about after this" Fives said on one of the ship's computers while Tech was on his datapad "it's ironic the clones wanted names instead of numbers now people are signing up to be given numbers" "it's ingenious you can create a database to identify anyone in the Galaxy" "glad your impressed" "how is Cut going to get himself and his family outta here?" Fives asked "by hacking into the Imperial database and creating chain codes for them" Tech piped up from where he was sitting "yeah if the database wasn't heavily guarded by our brainwashed reg brothers" Fives said "plus I doubt Hunter or Neve would even approve this nut job idea of yours Tech, well Neve wouldn't have a problem but still wouldn't approve" "but my question is how are we going to get those chain codes though?" Fives asked "like what General Skywalker says whenever she's got an idea, I have a dumb suggestion" "let's hear it" "we impound our ship therefore we can get the chain codes as well as see Cut and his family off" both me and Fives stared at Tech for a good few minutes sharing a look between us with most utter dire realisation "oh Force we're doomed" Fives said
(Meanwhile back at Cut Lawquance's place)
(Neve's POV)
I sat in the dining room eating food since it was a while since I last eaten something "you need proper food to recover your strength" Suu said handing me a plate of fruit "thank you Suu you didn't have to do this" I said "consider it repayment and a thank you for helping us back then Neve" she said referring to when I was last here with Anakin and Rex after he got shot by a damn Commando droid "I can see how much Hunter wants to protect you from the Empire and how much he loves you Neve" "and I love him just as much Suu" "you got a strong sense to protect the young" "I guess it's from my niece and nephew they like to keep me on my feet so to speak" "have you thought of having kids?" Suu asked "well one I'd love to heck so would Hunter but until things settle down and we're truly safe" I explained "that's a smart move but Omega's certainly special" she left leaving me to eat the fruit I started eating feeling my stomach get its much needed fill I choked when hearing Hunter yell into his comm "YOU DID WHAT!?" "Hunter what's happening?" I asked seeing the peeved look on his face following outside quickly mirroring his face seeing the Marauder being taken to the impound field "TECH!" Hunter yelled "oh good grief" "it was the only logical solution" "getting my ship impounded is not what I would call a solution" Wrecker and Crosshair stopped what they were doing to look at the fiasco unfolding I gave Cut an apologetic look "Cut I'm so sorry about this" "you don't have anything to apologise for Neve" I quickly remembered Omega was on the ship with them Hunter remembered "we'll call you when we get the cabin codes" "there's one problem though OMEGA'S ON THE SHIP!" I stood next to Hunter as he was on the verge of yelling at the three of them "let's join them after we help Cut and Suu finish packing their stuff okay" I said in a calming manner we headed into town as the sky turned dark
(Omega's POV)
I sat in the small room above the ship's floor where the regs below were inspecting the ship I watched Echo, Fives and Tech drop out of the hatch in the Marauder's ceiling before dropping down Tech catching me setting me down on the floor "so far so good how can I help?" I asked "you've had enough excitement for today kid we'll handle this" Echo said going outside with Fives and Tech I followed them outside to join the others that had arrived Tech grabbed four chain codes for Cut, Suu, Shaeeah and Jek handing them to Dad who went over to them giving them the chain codes so they could leave saying goodbye to them with Mom and me Mom handed Suu something "there's a group of people I know they'll get you to Earth safe I don't know what else I can do to help you" "you've done all that you can for us, right now you should look after yourself I wouldn't want anything happening to you" "well that won't be a problem for me" "take of yourself and your family Cut" "don't worry about me brother just worry about Neve, Omega and the squad" I watched Dad wrap an arm around Mom "Hunter we got a problem at the impound" "let's go" I followed them back to the impound dock where a few regs were firing at the others Mom quickly knocked out a few I ran over to her just as she was forced to the ground with a grunt having been pulled back by her hair by one of the regs "Neve get up Hunter!" I cried making him look over to us Mom quickly pulled me behind her getting to her feet as some regs took aim at us when Dad shot two down before tackling the last one to the ground changing into a werewolf mercilessly beating him up I hid behind Mom as he continued repeatedly punching him she grabbed his arm as she stopped him "Hunter stop that's enough" he looked over to us seeing how scared I was seeing him like that he changed back helping Mom into the ship I ran in first as more regs arrived shooting at us all Wrecker and Crosshair continued firing at them before getting in as the ramp closed Dad sat Mom down in the main part of the ship
(Hunter's POV)
I checked both Neve and Omega for any injuries seeing that they were unharmed letting out a sigh of relief before pulling Neve into a tight hug which she returned happily with a smile as Tech piloted the ship off the planet "no doubt we'll be on the Empire's radar for longer after what we pulled" she said while looking to the squad as they agreed "Neve's right we gotta be careful" I kissed her forehead nuzzling her then remembered Omega seeing me as a werewolf "Hunter are you a werewolf?" Omega asked me I let out a sigh looking to her "yeah kid I'm a werewolf" I answered her before she threw herself at me wrapping her arms around me tightly "well kid this is where you're gonna stay" Neve kissed my cheek before going to change into sleepwear the others went to their bunks to rest and recuperate after what happened back on Saleucami Tech stayed in the ship's cockpit to monitor the controls Omega claimed into my bunk to sleep I walked into Neve's quarters laying next to her letting her cuddle into my chest falling asleep I went to sleep after her the others followed suit
