Chapter 7: Pantora

This is when the squad goes into Pantora and meet Fennec Shand she's Neve's friend so she's not trying to get Omega who doesn't run off. Fennec and Hunter have a mutual friendship after knowing the other cares about Neve. She gets hit on by a drunk guy Hunter gets seriously overprotective over her.

(Neve's POV)
I woke up in Hunter's arms who had a death grip on me my stomach cramped making me quietly hiss in pain I wiggled out of his arms going to the refresher passing by the others who were up and eating breakfast "morning boys, morning Omega" I greeted them grabbing a painkiller from the medical kit "stupid cramps" I mentally groaned before cleaning up in the refresher "ugh can this end, ugh the cramps are getting worse" I walked out of the refresher to join the others for breakfast Hunter joined us after waking up himself "we're nearly out of supplies we need to get them before we fully run out" "can we stress about this after we all fully wake up?" I asked while nestling next to Hunter drinking my coffee
(Omega's POV)
I sat on the chair looking at the computer screen curiously "there's a habitual planet here to lay low long enough for the Empire to hopefully lose interest in us" Dad said pointing to the planet "why do we have to hide couldn't we explore?" I asked "no can do kid not while the Empire is after us and Neve" "when the Empire loses interest we can explore freely" Mom told me reassuringly "we don't have enough supplies or fuel to make the trip Hunter" Crosshair spoke up from where he was standing "Pantora is not far from where we are we can get enough supplies and fuel up the Marauder" Mom piped up pointing to the planet on the screen "the Empire will be there Neve I'm not risking you getting caught or taken from us" "how many times do I have to say this, Hunter I can look after myself stop being a worry wort" "I know that Neve" "would it be better if I had my cloak on?" Mom asked him her tail flicked behind her in a amused manner before grabbing her cloak "fine Pantora it is then" I looked at the planet curiously while they talked before sitting in the Marauder's cockpit watching Tech pilot the ship into a landing bay Dad walked in wearing what he was wearing on Saleucami when he, Cut and Mom went into town I watched Mom pull out two katanas from underneath something "I forgot you had those" "these belonged to my dad made from a mix of Vibrainum and Beskar much like my armour" "so how do you know T'Challa?" "I guess it's because of a mutual respect and alliance between Wakanda and us" she grabbed the hilt of one of the katanas pulling it out of its scabbard the blade gleamed in the light "I have a another one other than the two I have" she grabbed it from where it was laying "originally I had made it to use for myself before being given these ones so now I don't know what to do with it" she smiled in slight utter embarrassment "why not give it to Hunter?" Fives piped up from the kitchen "do you want it?" "I don't mind having it Neve" she handed it to him "well I know it's in capable hands with you" I got out of the ship to look around the outside after it landed Mom walked out after everyone else wearing a tunic, boots, leggings and her cloak her lightsabers were tucked under her tunic out of sight she had her blaster near her right lightsaber and Vibrio knife in case we run into trouble pulling her hood over her head her hair down I held Dad's hand in order to blend in according to Echo we stopped as troops marched passed a crowd who were cheering "what are they celebrating?" I asked to them "the end of the war but it depends on who's side" "look another one of those chain code things" Fives piped up pointing to the same announcement back on Saleucami "the Empire's moving swiftly, everything is changing faster than I thought" "well luckily the markets are over there" Mom spoke up over the crowd we walked to the market I looked around wide eyed at everything I picked up a trooper doll showing Mom
(Hunter's POV)
I kept my eyes and ears open on high alert while walking through Pantora's marketplace though occasionally getting a few comments from passing civilians "oh what a cute daughter you both have" "oh thank you" Neve thanked the woman who had commented on us three as a family not that I minded I quickly remembered something "Neve do we have enough credits for the supplies and other things we need?" I asked her "I'm sure we have enough Hunter plus I have been saving up" she gave me a kiss before we stopped in front of a vender to sell something Neve went off to buy the supplies with Omega helping her "I can't buy this, but I will however buy that droid" "droid?" Echo spoke up "I'm sorry but he's not for sale" I quickly denied the offer motioning for Echo and Fives to follow me as we joined Neve and Omega I steadied myself as Omega came running into me "Omega what's wrong?" I asked her "some guy is trying to hit on Neve" my blood boiled "I don't care about whoever they are they better back the fuck up and away from my girl" I walked up behind where Neve was standing "I told you I have a boyfriend so you better fuck off" "I don't see him, come on sweet cheeks" I stepped beside Neve making her look at me with a relieved look on her face "hey back off and away from my girl she's mine" I growled out wrapping my arm around Neve's shoulders pulling her close to me glaring daggers at the drunken bastard he backed away after seeing me "you alright love? Did that bastard hurt you" I quickly asked her "I'm fine Hunter" she kissed me sweetly "thanks for the save" I gave her a soft smile seeing her okay and unharmed "like I said I'll always protect you" "so you have proven" "but seriously are you okay Neve?" I asked her again she nodded "let's go I need to get more things" "I'll come with you and Omega this time" "my literal knight in shining armour" Neve teased very lovingly we walked to where the supplies were while keeping an eye out for anything or anyone suspicious we ducked into a nearby shop as a patrol walked past us all we looked around while getting supplies for the ship Neve was looking over where the medical supplies were with Omega when a unfamiliar voice spoke up "Neve is that you?" "Fennec fancy seeing you here of all places, what are you doing here on Pantora?" "I am so glad I found you in time I heard about what happened Shuri and Anakin told me" "shh Fennec still at risk of being identified" "oh right sorry Neve anyway bounty hunters are after you, not me or the others we know but I just wanted to warn you" "thanks Fennec" "I see your not alone here so that's a relief" "oh hi Shand" Fives causally greeted her with Echo "hey boys, and oh my gosh you look terrible" "gee thanks Fennec real funny" "sorry but really you look like that time I helped you sneak passed pirates also who's idea was it freezing yourselves in carbonate?" "Funnily enough that was my idea" "and that proves that you were more of a wild card than your brother back then" "I'm sorry but who are you?" I asked growing tense as seconds passed and turned into hours my nerves flaring while grabbing the hilt of my knife "Fennec Shand relax will you I've never accepted a job from the Empire when it comes to the people I care about" "Hunter calm down please" I silently protested but listened nonetheless crossing my arms over my chest before looking at Omega who showed me the trooper doll she found
(Fennec's POV)
I continued talking to my best friend while her boyfriend kept glaring at me "oh he's protective over you Neve I respect that" I silently mused at the thought that ran through my head "I have a few extra bandages on my ship, I can give you some" "I appreciate the offer Fennec but really you didn't have to" "hey kindness is often given and returned think of it as my way of saying thanks for saving my stupid ass more times than I can count" we both laughed at that "seriously though how do you end up like that?" "I have no idea" she pulled out a list looking over it "well we need more stuff than I initially thought so can you help us?" "I'll help so what do you need?" I asked she showed me the list quickly reading what they needed "well I'm sure there's plenty of ingredients for food in the market but for the medical supplies and medicine you'll need to go to a pharmacy" "I see Fives, Echo think you boys can get food for the Marauder?" I watched them both grin at her "we got this don't worry" "can you go with them Fennec?" "I'll go with them" "we'll meet up at the bar when we all finish" "copy that" I walked off with Fives and Echo to get the food they're ship needed "I know Neve would've asked you this but are you going back to Earth?" Fives asked "well yeah I gotta tell her siblings she's still alive and kicking" "well Hunter's been protective of her recently but given what's happened recently everyone is a bit on edge" "I can tell that" I carried a bag full of fruits and vegetables and a bag full of meat Echo had a bag of canned foods Fives was paying for a few extra things
(Neve's POV)
I walked into the pharmacy with Hunter and Omega looking for medicine and medical supplies for the Marauder as well as stuff for my periods and eventually at some point Omega's periods I quietly hummed a melody to myself while looking through the shelves Hunter held out a box of tablets in front of me "would these help?" I nodded going back to look for pads moving a strand of my hair behind my ear adjusting the beanie on my head "what's our next move love?" I asked him quietly as Omega held my hand before holding a bandage in her hand putting it in the basket "we need to figure out what to do to avoid bounty hunters Neve" he answered putting a lot of painkillers in the basket I found boxes of cooling pads for headaches and migraines "oh that's exactly what Hunter needs for when his senses get overloaded" I grabbed 4 boxes of them putting them in the basket walking to grab 3 packs of vitamins and minerals for us all in case we all get royally ill to the point we're unable to eat anything solid for a few weeks I looked over to Hunter seeing him interact with Omega making me smile "I wouldn't be surprised if we officially adopted her and then get another one, my brother will be shocked when we see him and Rex again" my mind drifted to my family "I wonder what they're doing now, I hope they're doing alright it's bad enough the Empire is making it hard to travel the Galaxy" I silently pondered to myself "Neve are you okay?" I loomed over to Hunter "oh sorry Hunter I was just thinking about how my family's doing" "hey when the heat dies down we'll visit them, plus you can call them or did you forget?" I giggled quietly "I haven't forgotten Hunter, you are such a tease you know" "I know but it shows I love you" "yeah yeah let's hurry up and finish getting the medical supplies for the ship" I gathered the last item on the list going to pay for the items we got using the last of the credits we have walking outside where Echo, Fives and Fennec stood
(Fives's POV)
I stood with Echo and Fennec outside the pharmacy waiting for Hunter, Neve and Omega they walked out with two bags worth of medicine and medical supplies long enough to last for a year if we all didn't get hurt "hey what's is that?" Omega spoke pointing to a stall full of jewellery "that's jewellery Omega its something you wear alongside clothes" "like the necklaces you and Hunter wear" "yeah kind of" "can we have a look please Neve?" Omega asked eyes sparkling I looked at Neve's face she was torn between saying yes or no she quickly looked over to Hunter for help he also looked torn "okay we can have a look but then we're heading back to the ship okay Omega?" "Okay Neve" we walked over to have a look I stood off to the side to keep an eye out Omega grabbed something before showing Neve who paid for it using what credits she had left on her we then walked back to the ship with Omega showing me and Echo the trooper doll she found after we got on the ship and parted ways with Fennec Shand "hey Echo what's this video about?" I looked to see Omega looking at a video that had both Neve and Anakin in it "I don't know let's play it to see" the three of us including Hunter who got curious watched the video as it played Neve peered over Hunter's shoulder to see what was going on "I forgot we filmed this" she muttered we continued watching the video seeing different people interacting with the twins before it ended with laughter from everyone in the video "I completely forgot we made that video" "I'm guessing they're friends of yours" "yeah, so you know I've been in the military back home right" "yeah" "well they're members of the squadron me and Anakin were apart of, we were a bunch of wilder wild cards back then" "you still are one though Neve" she sighed before sitting down on a chair as Omega asked her questions out of curiosity "woah slow down on the questions there Omega, but first I need to help put all this away"
(Later on)
(Echo's POV)
I helped with putting everything away in the ship's kitchen, refresher and medical kit before helping with getting food on the table for dinner "uh let's see I can make a curry or stew" "should we vote on it?" I asked Neve "alright who wants curry or stew?" "I want curry!" Wrecker answered "curry" Crosshair said his vote "I would like curry" "I'd like curry too" "same as the others" I gave my answer "alright curry it is" I helped with making the curry as best I could Tech took over "why are these here?" Hunter asked out loud holding a box of cooling pads "I bought them because they're what you need love" "and why would I even need a cooling pad for my head?" I heard Neve sigh "Hunter didn't you say your senses get overwhelmed?" I watched his face slowly go from confused to realising what she had meant "ohh thanks love" "yeah you're welcome" she kissed him as Omega sat down at the table looking at a picture before looking at Neve "hey Neve what's the animal you're holding?" "Patchy my pet bunny" "bunny?" "Patchy is a bunny which is another name given to rabbits" "Patchy's so cute" "any animal is cute oh I have a picture of my dogs when they were puppies" "aww they're so cute can I pet them when we visit your home?" Omega asked smiling brightly "of course you can" she answered we all sat at the table to eat our dinner Fives started laughing after finishing his meal making all of us look at him "remember the time we went in the Resolute's kitchen for water" "oh my gosh" "yep" I looked over to Neve who had a unimpressed look "so I was in the kitchen getting my ice cream to eat yes I had a stash of ice cream still do anyway Rex, Echo and Fives walk in then start screaming like they saw a ghost" "well to be fair Neve we could only see your eyes and they reflected the light in unnatural way coming from the corridor so that's way we were screaming like we saw a ghost" "still it's just a weird thing my eyes can do" "that and you can see in the dark"
(Omega's POV)
I looked over to Mom who shook her head at Fives and Echo before looking at me "you can see in the dark?" I asked "yeah I can see in the dark kiddo always have" "what was growing up on Earth like?" I asked my curiosity about her home back on "well Earth has different climates and cultures depending on where you are, but growing up with my brothers and sisters it was a normal family thing to argue about something" "I have question what happened to Blade's arm?" Echo asked "do you remember what happened during our last visit to Piston Peak?" "I do yeah" "well Blade ended up with a broken arm and lightly burned" "oh yeah I remember nice to see he's alright now" "the funny thing about that is when you told him to go to the hospital" "I know Maru is a qualified medic and mechanic but he needed to get the bloody injury properly checked" Dad wrapped an arm around Mom "alright take a breath there Neve" "like seriously I know I can be bad when I get injured but still go to the hospital to make sure that it doesn't get infected" "whenever she got injured she avoided the medical bay on the Resolute saying the troops needed to go there more than her, no sooner did she say that she had collapsed from blood loss" I looked over to Mom seeing her face turn red in embarrassment "she had scared all of us when she collapsed suddenly" "I was fine" "after getting a blood transfusion" "for the record I didn't even notice I got injured" Dad kept his arm around her to stop her slapping ether Echo or Fives "so when are you gonna tie the knot?" Crosshair asked them "what does that mean?" I whispered to Tech who looked at me "he means when are they getting married" "oh but why is it important?" I asked "it's important because it shows the love and bond between two people, everywhere in the Galaxy they're the same but are often celebrated differently" Tech explained to me as everyone looked at him with a look "we do want to get married but it's just not really the right time cause ya know plus I want my family to be there and see it" "we'll send the live feed to them they'll see it" "as in physically be there Crosshair" Mom spoke "Neve's right Crosshair we can't get married right away not when Neve is in danger okay" "right sorry" "plus I think it's a good idea to hold off on it until we find a place to lay low" "I really need to tell them" I thought to myself
(Neve's POV)
I sipped on my coffee while listening to the boys talk about stuff my tail curled around my waist as my stomach cramped again "I hope to see my family after all this I miss them" I silently listened to the conversation nestling next to Hunter resting my head on his shoulder "hey Neve" I looked over to Fives as he held another video in his hand "how many of these did you record?" "I can't really remember Fives it's been a long time since then" I muttered wanting to fall asleep but remained awake to hear the conversation as a yawn slipped out of my mouth Omega yawned after me rubbing her eyes with her hand hearing Hunter chuckle at us both "well looks like you two need sleep" Hunter said before smiling as I pouted playfully at him "not tired" I muttered before picking Omega up "I'll go tuck her in then" "no I'll do it you go to bed" "oh fine" I grumbled handing Omega over to Hunter walking to my room walking in pulling my outer clothes off flopping onto my bed curling up while pulling the covers over me slowly starting to drift off to sleep as Hunter laid down next to me wrapping his arm around my waist while pressing his chest against my back his hand rested on mine I rolled over to snuggle into his chest falling asleep

I watched the video of the infamous Clone Force 99 and their Jedi commander Neve Skywalker "she's in love with the sergeant?" I mentally questioned before seeing the way they interact with each other I looked over to Governor TarKin "Governor what do you intend for me to do when Clone Force 99 and Neve Skywalker are in our custody?" I asked "if you have seen from this video feed Clone Force 99 have a undying loyalty to her which is a problem as long as she rebels they will not follow our orders, when you manage to capture them, separate them from her we will activate their inhibitor chips" "yes Governor" "how goes the recruitment process Admiral?" "I have four in listed recruits unfortunately without a clone commander to lead them" "assign one of the Commando clones to them" "yes sir" I walked out of the office passing by Lama Su
(Back on Earth in the Sol System Territory)
(Anakin's POV)
I sat down with Rex and the 501st using the Force to sense and feel my sister's presence finding relief when still feeling it I sent her my regards to stay safe while getting her reply through the Force "I am guessing you twin sister is alive" Megatron asked me striking up a conversation "yeah alive and well, but I shouldn't worry she's being protected by the squad" I answered "pardon my curiosity but Galvatron had mentioned this to me but who is the squad you are talking about nephew?" "Clone Force 99, originally they were only four members before Echo and Fives joined them, me and Neve had met them before the war had officially broken out but she met them earlier when going to Kamino for the first time when we both were 9" I began remembering what my sister had told me after meeting them back then "I see please continue" "well we met them again after Geonosis during the siege for Anaxes that was when we found out Echo had survived the Citadel mission anyway we then rescued Echo and well Neve and Hunter officially became a couple after that" "could you tell me more about the four original members please I'm quite curious also who is Hunter?" I nodded "well Hunter is their sergeant, there's Tech, Crosshair and Wrecker" "and how did your sister end up leading them?" I looked over to my uncle while holding Milo and Kira while Hero talked with Blade "well the council were discussing what to do with Clone Force 99 Echo and Fives joined them since they were like their old batch mates, they made the discussion that my sister lead them, she is a capable leader able to adapt to any situation thrown at her" I explained while watching the 501st and 212th talk Ahsoka was talking with Jesse, Kix and Tup "not only is she adaptable she's got a stubborn will to survive as well as a fighting spirit" "Will, Sarah nice to see you guys" I greeted them Milo and Kira went to play with Annabelle "woah easy there kids" Fennec spoke walking over "hey Fennec, what's up?" I greeted her "I just came back from Pantora I ran into your sister there she's okay, think I might've made her boyfriend suspicious of me" "oh gosh well given what's happened, he's just trying to look out for her" I said while watching over the kids playing while watching everyone interact "well at least she's doing okay" "yeah anyway what's going on here?" "I don't know but every leader in the Sol System Alliance is tense and waiting for news from the Senate on Coruscant" "not many outside here know Earth's location" "only our ships are allowed out and in the Sol system but with the Empire grasping hold of the Galaxy it's only a matter of time until they find where our home is" "something tells me there's more to it" "the Empire is up to something so until the all clear is in, me and Rex are going to go get the boys and my sister here" I said "best of luck to you both"
