Chapter 4: Order 66 & aftermath

Okay here's chapter 4
So Order 66 happens though Master Billaba is still alive thanks to Clone Force 99 the Jedi survive
(Hunter's POV)
I watched as we dropped out of hyperspace arriving at Kellar Tech landed away from where General Billaba was pinned down Neve walked out after me "we're less than 10 miles away from where General Billaba's pinned down" "thank you Tech" "Master Skywalker!" I watched General Billaba's padawan came running over before falling flat on his face "are you alright Caleb?" Neve asked helping him up "I'm fine" he went back to General Billaba's position as we followed closely behind though we went into our positions when I gave the signal Wrecker threw down a boulder at the droids as we skied down after it a few droids were taken out by the boulder falling off the cliff reaching the bottom and running we took out the droids looking to where Crosshair was "Crosshair let's get these tanks moving!" I ordered Neve sliced and shot droids using her lightsabers and blaster I grabbed her hand to pull her away from a blaster bolt "thank you Sergeant" "anything for you m'lady" I pulled my helmet off slightly to kiss her she shot a droid that was behind me after destroying the droids alongside the tanks we walked to where General Billaba was "if your done hiding down there I suggest you launch a counter attack another platoon of droids is heading this way" "the General is the one to give the orders" "he's right Commander this is our chance launch the counter attack" "yes General alright men move it!" I watched the regs ran towards the droids coming at us "there you are little Jedi you missed all the fun!" Wrecker said grinning widely to General Billaba's padawan "watching you guys in action was the fun" "care to introduce your new friends Caleb" "yes master, this Wrecker, Hunter, Echo, Tech and Crosshair" "while I don't think fun would be the word I would use I agree with my Padawan your exploits were most impressive" "exploits?" Wrecker asked "don't overthink it to much Wrecker" "thank you General" Echo said "now can one of you explain to me where my actual reinforcements are?" General Billaba asked us "rerouted to the capital we're all your getting" I said "ha we're all you need" "my brother's coming to Kellar to help you're getting more reinforcements" Neve gave us a look I raised my hands in mock surrender she rolled her eyes at me smiling "actually the General won't be needing any of us the war might be over" "tell that to the clankers heading our way" "I am referring to the encrypted comm chatter Clone Intelligence is reporting that General Kenobi has engaged General Grievous on Utapu" "if he captures or kills Grievous the Separatist Leadership will collapse" "the war may come to an end sooner" "a fascinating theory yet something we can't control here I suggest we get back to the task at hand, I have to say Knight Skywalker you have an interesting squad" Grey muttered something under his breath "any orders or shall we do what we do?" I asked Neve "let's go blow something up yeah!" Wrecker cried out "can I go will them?" "I don't know you think you can keep up with them?" "I don't see the harm in it Caleb" "you coming?" I asked Neve as the others ran off "I'll catch up with you later I need to speak with Master Billaba at the moment Hunter" "alright be safe, love you" I kissed her on the lips before pulling my helmet on following the others
(Neve's POV)
I watched as they went to blow up more droids with Caleb tagging along "I have to say Neve it seems you found yourself a place to belong a proper one and a very loving partner too" "yeah I guess I have" I talked with Master Billaba about what her plan was once the war's over when something felt wrong I held my head as a vision took place "Neve are you alright?" Master Billaba asked me having also sensed the disturbance "no something's wrong so very wrong" we both looked over to Grey who had a hologram of the Chancellor wearing a hood over his face I could feel my heart race in my chest quickly glancing over to the boys and back at the hologram "execute Order 66" my ears pulled back as my instincts flared a fight or flight response someone behind Grey fired at us I deflected it the fur on my tail bristled as Master Billaba's forces surrounded us except Grey who was ordering them to stand down Master Billaba ignited her lightsaber going into a defensive stance as they fired at us I let out a yelp of pain as a blaster bolt hit my arm forcing me to drop my lightsaber but refusing to stop defending myself and Master Billaba who got hit in the leg falling to her knees still defending herself when they all fell to the ground blaster marks on their backs as the squad came running over Hunter removed his helmet immediately checking me for any injuries "are you okay your not hurt right?" I heard him ask me looking at my arm "woah easy there I got you love I got you" I collapsed into his arms as the adrenaline left my body shaking in his hold trying to get over the shock about what had happened "Grey what happened why were they firing at them?" Caleb asked him "I don't know kiddo" "comm chatter is repeating the same directive execute Order 66" "yeah I heard that too what's Order 66?" Wrecker asked "I am uncertain but whatever it is it's making the Regs fire at them" Tech replied "Crosshair what the hell are you doing stand down!" Hunter yelled "following orders" "we don't know what the order is stand down" "good soldiers follow orders" I heard him mumble the same thing Tup had muttered when he went nuts as Hunter pulled me closer to him in response still trembling in his arms he tightened his hold around me "hey hey look at me Neve look at me you're safe love you're safe" he said "let's get out of here now" Hunter ordered sending a wary glance to Crosshair the others made their way back to the Marauder we went our separate ways Master Billaba, Caleb and Grey went to Earth while we went to Kamino "this is bad the Jedi are being accused of treason" "what which Jedi?" Hunter asked with worry "all of them" Tech replied shaken greatly "what, treason for what?" I asked "I do not know General" I went into my quarters sitting on my bed racking my head for an answer hearing the squad argue with Crosshair Hunter came in sitting next to me letting me lean against him wrapping his arms around me I buried my head in Hunter's chest "hey you feeling alright love?" I curled up into his arms "no I'm not I-I'm scared Hunter" I admitted "for once I'm scared a-and I don't know what to do" I said wiping my face as tears fell down my face as he kissed the top of my head softly while pulling me against his chest "why is this happening?" I asked "I don't know I really wish I did" he admitted "learning that you've been accused of something that you've never committed is boiling my blood" I sighed as he pulled me closer to him with only little peace we have before arriving to Kamino "how long until we arrive at Kamino?" I asked "not long now" he replied
(Echo's POV later)
I stood behind Tech Fives stood beside me as we dropped out of hyperspace "it's good to be back how long has it been?" Wrecker asked as Neve and Hunter entered I looked over to her with Fives both of us seeing her better than before "180 standard rotations through galactic zones changes therefore putting the adjusted figure at 205" Tech rambled "what?" "A very long time Wrecker" I simplified it "you got that right Echo" "I've been your General for 2 and a half years and I'm still not used to Tech spilling out insane facts" I got where she was coming from "you'll get used to it eventually Fluff-ball" he said "what happens if one of the regs recognise her?" Wrecker asked making all of us go silent "I can always keep my hood up or wear my helmet" we left the Marauder after landing in the hanger Neve had her hood up as well as her mask standing behind Hunter carrying her helmet "Shock troopers what's the Coruscant guard doing here?" Hunter questioned just as confused as the rest of us "the end of the war" "say again trooper" "General Grievous was engaged and defeated on Utapu the war is over" "just like I said" "it is just like you said" I noticed two troopers carried a rack with a body on in covered with a cloth a hand slipped out holding a lightsaber it dropped to the floor the trooper talking to us picked it up before facing us "is there a problem?" Neve tensed up her pupils had shrunk and went cat like her hand over her own blaster before Hunter grabbed her hand holding it comfortingly "no problem, we'll just head to our barracks then" Hunter said gesturing at us to move bringing Neve closer to him we walked away "better hurry there's a general assembly in 018 hours" we made our way to the barracks as quickly as we could passing troopers "it's not just the regs on Kellar all the regs are acting strange" Hunter looked to Neve and mouthed to her "are you alright?" Neve nodded though the fear was visible in her eyes as me and Fives stayed close to her we reached the barracks "ah good to be back" "the smell's getting worse" I said "you're still new you'll get used to it" "speak for yourself" both me and Fives sat down at the cluttered table with Tech Neve sat down at the table near the window setting down her helmet having pulled down her hood and mask "well I'll get the board" we sat in silence Crosshair sat on his bunk cleaning his rifle chewing his toothpick "eleven more successful missions was there any doubt" "Kellar wasn't a win" "says who we completed our objective" "not every objective" Crosshair said we all looked at him "Hunter's letting traitors live or do you want to keep laying to us?" "Crosshair"
(Hunter's POV)
I listened to everyone talk about what happened on Kellar "what the hell is even happening? Why are the Jedi being killed off for something they didn't do" I questioned trying to figure out what was even happening with the regs and why they just turned on General Billaba and on Neve even Crosshair turned on her suddenly "Hunter's letting traitors live or do you want to keep laying to us?" I got up to look out the window "I don't like to think that executing our Commanders is a mission objective" I said unable to hide my anger "an order is an order" "since when?" I challenged angrily looking over to Crossover with a hardened glare staring each other down "none of this makes any sense those clones have served alongside General Billaba for years how can they turn on her just like that?" I held Neve's hand while hugging her in my arms "because of the regs programming" Tech piped up from where he was sitting working on a project of his "what programming?" I asked voice low "it's been well documented that the Kaminoans inhibited the function of clones to engineer them to follow orders without question" "ha we sure don't" Wrecker said grinning from ear to ear arm around Crosshair holding Lula in his hand as Neve sighed "obviously we are different they manipulated pre-existing aberrations in our DNA, resulting in your brute strength, Crosshair's sharp shooting skills, Hunter's enhanced senses and my exceptional mind, my guess is we are immune to the effects though I am 100% uncertain about it" Tech said "what about Echo and Fives?" I asked "they were regs before they joined us" "yeah if all regs were programmed how come we didn't flip out like the others?" Echo asked him curious "the damage you sustained on Skako Minor most likely wiped out any preset modifications, you're more machine than man percentage wise at least, Fives on the other hand is a bit of a mystery" "lucky us" he sighed we sat in awkward silence "all personal report to the staging area for a briefing on the state of the Republic" "this is one meeting I don't wanna miss" I said "first time for everything I guess" Neve pulled her hood and mask up we stood in the assembly hall as the Chancellor gave his speech "and the Jedi rebellion had been foiled the remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated" I felt anger burn in me for the accusations of the Jedi being traitors "the attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed" "you can say that again" Wrecker said to Echo something well someone caught my attention a young girl was staring at us well more accurately me and Neve who also noticed her "what is it?" Tech asked getting my attention I looked back eyes widening slightly seeing that the girl disappeared "nothing" I replied "and the Republic will be reorganised into the first Galactic Empire" "Galactic Empire?" I heard Echo repeat "for a safe and secure society" the hall erupted into cheers "still don't think the regs are programmed" I heard Tech say we left walking to the mess hall "I don't like this" "me too" "Galactic Empire we're soldiers of the Republic" "Republic, Empire what's the difference?" Crosshair asked "the systematic wide execution of the Jedi is a big one for me" "guys our General is one of those accused Jedi" Fives said making the two fall silent I stopped walking making Neve bump into me as the others stoppedo  "sorry" I apologised to her before addressing everyone "lads and my lady we've got company" we turned around to see the kid the one that both me and Neve saw during the assembly "what's that?" Wrecker asked "adolescent human female origins uncertain" "my name's Omega I was wondering when you guys show up" "you know who we are?" I asked "Echo, Fives, Tech, Wrecker, Crosshair, Hunter and your General Neve your Clone Force 99" luckily no regs were nearby thankfully much to all our relief "what are you doing on Kamino kid?" I asked crouching to be eye level with her "her job of course" Nala Se said as she walked over I stood up straight "I am relieved to see you are unharmed Master Skywalker" "thank you Nala Se I wish it was under better circumstances" "Omega is my medical assistant her curious mind often tends to let her wander as you can see come Omega there is work to be done" I watched the two leave "this day keeps getting weirder and weirder" I said the others silently agreed before we walked to the mess hall after giving Tech a small look "not only that, she's strong in the Force I could feel it"
(Lame Su's POV)
I sat in my chair as Admiral TarKin entered with news regarding the newly formed Galactic Empire with my assistant Tawn We who stood beside me he delivered surprising news "Admiral TarKin this news is most surprising Chancellor Palpatine has always supported our cloning advancements in the past" "Emperor Palpatine's priorities have changed" "our contract states the continued production of clone troopers" "your contract was with Republic which no longer exists" my eyes narrowed slightly "with the Jedi all but spread thin the need for future clones is being questioned" "Admiral TarKin I must protest surely you realise the precarious state this newly found Empire is in more clones will be needed to keep the peace" "that can be solved by gaining recruited soldiers" "the skill level and proficiency of our Clones is higher then any recruited body" "I shall be the judge of that" he stood to his feet before speaking again "though there is something to note I received a report of a Jedi here on Kamino I shall investigate further" he left passing by Nala Se as the door shut I got to my feet "warn Mistress Skywalker to TarKin's presence here" "yes Prime Minister" Tawn We left to deliver the news to Knight Skywalker "we must contact Count Dooku for this matter" Nala Se and I walked to the private communication centre we entered the room as the lights dimmed as Count Dooku's image appeared "I have been expecting and awaiting this transmission" "the Empire has arrived to Tepoca City with Knight Neve Skywalker here" "I see begin preparations to evacuate once the Empire decides your usefulness is over they will turn on you" "understood Count Dooku" the transmission ended "prepare evacuation notices have the equipment and assists moved to the Neptune Station in Sol System territory" "of course Prime Minister"
(Meanwhile on Earth)
(Notch's POV)
I sat sat on my throne after returning home to scared and terrified younglings worried Jedi knights and masters "Anakin have you reached Neve?" I asked worry for our sister ever present on my face "even if I could Notch she's probably on radio silence plus she could be gathering information on why more than half of the GAR are brainwashed" "possibly" I stood on the balcony watching my people "your highness what happens if the Empire attacks us?" Amy asked "war Amy war, a war is coming Amy we must be ready to fight" she understood as more guards patrolled the outskirts of the kingdom "send word to every world leader prep our armies for a possible war" "of course King Notch" I was left alone with my thoughts I looked to the starlit sky "mother, father what would you do in a situation like this" I spoke to the ever beautiful night sky wondering what to do "sir Agent Fowler is here" "thank you Amy" I walked to greet my friend who had a group of Cybertronians with him "Notch this is Optimus Prime leader of the Autobots he's also your" "I know William uncle Galvatron told us when he had returned" I faced them "what is it that you want to discuss?" I asked "to ask you for permission to live here" "Uncle Optimus you are family your more than welcome to stay" I said "for as long as you need if you and the others need a place to call home you have us" "you are much like your mother" I let them get settled within the castle as I talked with Agent Fowler
(Back on Kamino)
(Hunter's POV)
I grabbed myself some food while listening to some regs talk "his shuttle arrived earlier today" "I hear he's evaluating the clones" "good it's about time that some of the fat got trimmed around here oh did you hear there's a rumour that a Jedi is here on Kamino" "really but wasn't it revealed that a rogue Jedi was responsible for attacking the Emperor why blame all of them?" I listened before walking to join my squad at our usual table away from all the regs "clones being programmed nothing controls me" "Wrecker it is illogical to conclude that your need for distruction would stem from your conditioning" "you take that back" "I am merely stating a scientific hypothesis based on factual data" "oh well I got a fact for you I like to blow things up because I LIKE TO BLOW THINGS UP!" I saw Fives and Echo flinch Neve hid her face in her hand as all the regs looked over "got it" "well I'm convinced" I sat down next to Tech and Neve "an Imperial was sent to evaluate the clones everybody's talking about it" I said I didn't want to tell them about the rumour going around about a Jedi here especially Neve "I am not letting anyone harm her not after they tried to kill her" I said to myself in a vow she ate her food "what kind of evaluation?" Echo asked me curious "hopefully not mental clearly we wouldn't pass that" we sat in silence when the kid from earlier sat down with us "hello again" we looked at her "Omega from earlier" "yeah kid we remember don't you have someplace to be?" "No I'll stay" "you want to sit with us?" Tech asked her as she nodded "that's never happened before" "wow" "I like you, you guys don't exactly fit in ether" "alright kid what are you really doing here on Kamino? Don't you have family somewhere? Parents?" I asked her as she looked at me "Parents?" "I never mind" I looked to some regs passing our table "hey check it out the defect squad's got themselves a new recruit hehe another member added to the sad batch" I rested my hand on Neve's squeezing it gently seeing her tense up reassuring her everything's fine she relaxed when "what the? Who threw that?" "I did now apologise to my friends" "I like this kid" "what did you say to me?" The reg who was about to hurt the kid was thrown back into the two behind him "Oi reg why don't you pick on someone your own size like me" Neve had stood up having spoken in front of Omega hood and mask off being the one to have pushed him tail lashing claws drawn ready to fight "she's had enough of hiding that's my girl I am so marrying her" I said to myself grinning up at her immensely proud of her before baring my teeth slightly at the reg "so keep walking Reg or else" she growled "Neve my love a bit aggressive there" "oh I know Hunter I'm just waiting for this du'kat to go before I end up wiping the floor with him" she said cracking her knuckles for emphasis I got to my feet to bring her back to sit down "Neve I love you but please don't I don't want you getting hurt" I said while knowing she'll destroy the reg in seconds should I let her before the Reg opened his mouth "why you little bitch s-.." he raised his fist to punch her I immediately stood in front of Neve "woah woah woah back off I suggest you keep moving and you stay away from both the kid and my girl" I stood in front of the reg eyes narrowed in a glare stopping him from getting to the girls and making sure to keep him away from my girlfriend growling the last part out Wrecker got up from his seat towering behind Omega and Neve who glared at the reg I saw fear flash in his eyes when he looked at me before composing himself quickly "like my lovely girlfriend said keep walking Reg" I said gesturing to Neve making her blush and smile at me "hmph know your place lab scrubber your lucky the Jedi protected you but she won't protect you forever and she'll hit the ground soon enough just you wait you defective freak" "he did not just threaten her" I felt my anger and rage bubbling up he walked off ignoring the audial growl from me "Hunter calm down I'm okay" I heard Neve whisper to me "I know and I'm glad you're okay" I whispered in response "also what did that asshole call you?" I wrapped my arm around her "even though I'm protective of her she's just as protective of me, gods I love this feisty woman" I said to myself internally when a tray hit him I turned to face Wrecker who had gathered up more trays "oops" he faked apologised tossing them in his hand "grr that's it!" "Aww yeah!" Wrecker threw the trays at the reg as a fight broke out I punched the reg who insulted and threatened my girlfriend hard enough to break his nose dodging a swipe from another one "not again" Wrecker jumped onto three regs the others quickly joined in "you know what fuck it!" Neve let out a yell pouncing onto a reg punching him before throwing him into the reg in front of me "thanks love" "your welcome" she kissed me before grabbing a tray and whacking a few regs with it I wrestled with a reg before knocking him to the ground going to help Neve "you alright?" I asked her "I'm fine thanks for the save" "Echo watch out!" Tech yelled Echo got knocked out by a reg "I'm putting a stop to this" Neve turned into her dragon form roaring stopping the fight the regs froze at the seer ferocity from her roar alone she changed back to her human form as we brought Echo to the medical bay for him to recover not before Neve slammed the Reg that called me names face onto a table hard enough to fracture his skull scaring the remaining regs greatly making me wince at the show of pure brutality and fury "remind me not to piss you off" I said she kissed my cheek in apology "I won't do that to you Hunter" "I know you won't love but you are scary when you want to be" she grabbed my shoulder pulling me to face her kissing my lips
(Neve's POV)
I stood next to Hunter as we waited for Echo to wake up when he did he nearly had a panic attack "Echo it's okay your safe" Fives said a medical droid spoke to the boys after speaking to Echo telling them what they all already knew I mentally facepalmed "jeez as if didn't we already know that already" I said sarcastically tail swaying behind me sassily making Hunter sweetly smile at me "we've got a problem" "hardly we're more troublesome as we are deviated" "not that Admiral TarKin's here" we all faced him as he continued "he's the one who's evaluating the clones" "the same TarKin from the Citadel rescue before you how do I put this lightly" "blew up" "and turned into that" "yes the very same and he's not a big supporter of Clones" "not only that he saw me" "we'll deal with this later we've been summoned by the Prime Minister" "he didn't find that fight in the mess hall amusing I sure did and those regs deserved it for threatening our future sister-in-law" Wrecker spoke with Crosshair nodding making me blush at the wording "guys!" Hunter scolded them both while Omega watched in confusion we started leaving the medical bay with the others "wait!" Omega cried out walking in front of us "you guys wait outside" Hunter told them as we both spoke to Omega "I'm coming too the hall fight was my fault as well it's also my fault you're in trouble" "Omega that wasn't your fault you were doing what you thought was right but the next time it happens leave it be" "but I" Hunter spoke up talking to her "listen carefully kid our squad's nothing but trouble it's best to keep your distance from us for your safety and your sake" we left the medical bay going to the Prime Minister's chambers "you didn't have to be that harsh to her Hunter" "it's for her safety love you know we're trouble" I gave him a look as he faced me going to say something else "uh-huh trouble and yet I'm here with you" I said retaining the look I was giving him while smirking at him he sighed in defeat knowing he can't win "alright you win" when "where do you think your going the training facility that way" we looked at the trooper in mild confusion "training facility?" Hunter questioned "Admiral TarKin wants to see more of your squad in action" the Shock trooper said "so we're not being reprimanded" "no you're being tested" "so we're not in trouble and he wants us to fight more oh maybe this won't be all bad" we went to the training facility when the trooper grabbed me by the arm "hey!" I swiped my arm out of his grip as the boys looked over "Clone Force 99 are the ones being evaluated that excludes you General Skywalker you will watch with Admiral TarKin" I sensed the squad's discomfort and concern as well as Hunter's anger and worry looking at them seeing them mostly Hunter ready to throw hands in case something happens to me I gestured for them all to calm down before looking at the trooper that grabbed my arm giving my counter point "I'd rather fight with them I stay with my squad" "very well I will tell Admiral TarKin of your choice" he walked off we all let out a relieved sigh "I think my heart leapt up into my throat" I muttered "Neve why would you risk doing this?" Hunter asked me worried about me "I meant what I said Hunter I stay with you guys always had always will" "right let's gear up still got your katanas?" "I do yeah and my lightsabers" "keep them on you just in case something goes wrong and you're really gonna need to get your helmet" I giggled at what Hunter had said before he helped me fix my hair in a low ponytail to keep out of my face while fighting in the training facility
(Hunter's POV)
I stood on the platform with my squad and Neve who finished readying herself for this we all heard TarKin's voice over the loud speaker "the value of all clone troopers is being challenged by the Empire, to demonstrate your effectiveness a combat efficiency test is in order, take your positions" "we've done these a thousand times boys you know what to do, Neve stay close to me" I put my helmet on as Neve pulled her mask up then put her own helmet on before grabbing her blaster "got it" she said as we got into our positions as the test began "Crosshair take the towers" I ordered "copy that" he went off to the towers taking them out before dealing with the droids "move in!" I signalled to Wrecker and Tech who went in first "I'll cover you both" I said as me, Neve and Echo went in next blasting droids down ducking for cover Wrecker ran in yelling and destroying droids "oh my gosh" I heard Neve mutter to herself as the last droid fell down "THAT ALL YOU GOT GIVE ME MORE!" Wrecker yelled walking back to us before a different droid rose up making Wrecker turn around "oh this'll be fun" "wait Wrecker don't!" Neve yelled as he got shot "they're using live rounds" I said we went on the other side of the barrier we were hiding behind "what's the plan?" Neve asked letting out a surprise yelp as a blaster soared above her head "TarKin's testing us then let's give him a show" I lifted my helmet up over my face whistling to Wrecker and Tech giving them a hand signal "remember what we did back on Felucia?" I asked Neve she pulled her own helmet up confused "I remember yeah" "no point in using simple tactics we do things are way" she grinned grabbing the hilts of her lightsabers throwing one up and catching it with her hand pulling her helmet back down before lunging herself at a droid igniting her lightsabers slicing them down while deflecting bolts back at them "that's my girl!" I cheered her on before helping her Tech took control of one of the droids using it to blast the others I grabbed my knife slicing off the arms of one droid before taking one out with Neve "like what we did back then right?" I asked "yeah without the Empire mind you" I threw my knife at the last remaining droid in the arm ducking behind cover as it fired at me Neve got hit in the arm while taking cover "Crosshair we need more cover fire" "Wrecker knife!" Wrecker threw his up into the air letting Crosshair deliver the finishing blow "woah" Wrecker breathed as the simulation finished "everyone alright?" Neve asked "alive and fictional" "what about you are you okay?" "I'm fine it's just a graze guys" I looked at her arm making sure she was okay "I'm a whole lot tougher than I look besides my armour's made of beskar remember" she pulled my helmet off and hers pulling me into a kiss
(Nala Se's POV)
I stood next to Lama Su Omega stood next to me as Governor TarKin inspected the growing embryo of a future Clone Trooper "fascinating aren't they?" I asked "That remains to be seen" Governor TarKin faced us "tell me more about Clone Force 99" "they are medically defective clones whose cellular mutations enhance traits desirable in a soldier" I explained to him before seeing the way he looked at Omega "she is Knight Skywalker and CT-9901's offspring it would be best to tell them before something happened to her" I thought to myself before continuing what I was saying to Governor TarKin without revealing their inhibitor chips are non active "they didn't have a permanent Jedi commander until the Jedi Council enlisted Jedi Knight Neve Skywalker to them for she has been seen as capable in leading them" I added "they could be assets to your new Empire" Lama Su claimed though the statement was false given how much they respect and care about their Jedi mostly CT-9901 as he has a bond with her "perhaps though from what I've seen so far is that they have an undying loyalty to her and as long as she's not working for the Empire then they won't ether" "I must ask why has Emperor Palpatine infatuated himself with Knight Skywalker?" Lama Su asked "Neve Skywalker might be a Jedi but she is also the princess of the royal family linked to Mandalore the Emperor has chosen her to be his consort" he spoke before adding "however a pressing matter is present she and Clone Force 99's Sergeant are in a intimate relationship" "you better not ruin their healthy and blossoming relationship" a unprofessional thought ran through my mind as TarKin left after I told him on how many enhanced clones remained "when can I finally tell my parents Nala-Se?" I looked at Omega a rare smile forming on my face "soon Omega but for now we keep that to ourselves" "Knight Skywalker's curiosity is present in young Omega it'll only be a matter of time before TarKin discovers her parentage" "Knight Skywalker showed suspicion when we requested a sample of her DNA so did CT-9901"
(Fives's POV)
I stood next to Echo after entering the barracks Crosshair stood opposite us both "live rounds they used live rounds on us!" Wrecker yelled slamming his helmet down on the table "we were there Wrecker we know" "who does that Imperial snake think he is!?" "Wrecker calm down you got shot we get shot all the time" Hunter stood near the door with Neve holding his knife in his hand "there's a fundamental difference between getting shot in battle and being used for target practice" "exactly we aren't dummy droids" "that much we agree on" we looked to the door to see TarKin we all stood at attention except for Neve who had crossed her arms over her chest "that was quite a impressive display today" "we had no choice sir" "the Empire's methods may seem unorthodox but so is this squad both certainly have their merries Nala Se speaks highly of her five enhanced clones she says your more capable than an army alongside your Jedi companion" "you have a mission for us?" "indeed we have tracked a couple of insurgents to the Orderon system" "what kind of insurgents?" "Separatist forces intent on keeping the Galaxy at war if you complete this mission you will serve the Empire as well as prove the usefulness of Clones and your General will be spared of her fate of execution" he left the barracks "he's laying about the insurgents being Separatists I could see it" Neve spoke her tail flicked we headed to the Marauder Wrecker and Crosshair went to the armoury to get supplies Hunter was talking to Omega who had came running over to talk to Hunter after talking to him he came over "what did the kid want?" Crosshair asked "I don't know something about TarKin disliking us something about her seems I don't know" "well kids are not your area of expertise maybe General Skywalker's expertise" I heard Crosshair say "well it might become his area of expertise in the near future if you get what I'm saying" I said with a huge grin on my face as both Hunter and Neve's faces turned a bright shade of red "FIVES!" I ran inside the Marauder laughing at their response

(Neve's POV)
I followed the others out of the Marauder a loud roar from an animal rang out "what was that?" Echo asked "you don't want to know" Tech replied Hunter knelt down in front of some tracks "the Separatist encampment is 2 klicks south from here we'll go the rest of the way on foot and do a full perimeter scan" he stopped Wrecker from running ahead "covertly" he added "aw come on it's been days since I last blown something up" he complained "easy Wrecker your programmings kicking in" "hey don't start with that" he shoved Tech in front of him as a sigh left my mouth I walked alongside Hunter as we moved through the jungle Tech held up his scanner "how many droids are we talking here Tech" "I can't tell from this distance something's blocking my scan" he replied "Clankers always travel in packs, let's get a closer look at what we're walking into" Hunter said offering his hand to me I took it as we climbed to a vantage point over looking the camp "tell me what you see Tech" "I'm clocking 20 heat signatures but zero droids" Tech said "TarKin said insurgents not droids uh right?" "I'm not sure they're either" Echo said "there are children down there" he added "what children out here something's not right" Hunter said "what are you waiting for give the order" "negative stand down" "what?" Crosshair asked "you mean we aren't blasting any droids?" I heard Wrecker ask "there aren't any droids Wrecker" "so what do we do?" Wrecker asked "we finish the mission make the call Hunter" I watched as Hunter looked around "Hunter what is it?" I asked when something made my ears flick up alert to whatever is moving "we're not alone now stand down" I watched as fighters came out from the bushes aiming their blasters at us "you heard him stand down" "let's hear them out trust me" I raised my hands with Hunter the others did the same we surrendered after being surrounded we walked into the camp the civilians looked at us all of them scared and uneasy "these aren't Separatists they're Republic fighters" Echo spoke "why would TarKin send us to attack our own forces?" Saw Gurera walked over to us "because we refuse to fight for an Empire" "your Saw Gurera trained by General Skywalker, Commander Skywalker and Captain Rex to fight for the Republic" Tech said one of Saw's men took Hunter's blaster giving it to Saw Gurera "so the newly established Empire sent you to wipe us out?" Saw asked "well we're here to neutralise a group of insurgents" Hunter said "well here we are what are you going to do strike us down like you did the Jedi?" Saw asked "is that a request?" Crosshair asked "enough we expected to find battle droids not" "civilians times change targets change why don't you take a look at the insurgents you were sent to destroy" I saw the squad's horrified faces as they did so "makes you wonder what else they're laying about, let's pack up the camp" "Saw TarKin lied to them if they were here for that why would I a Jedi Knight be here with them?" I spoke up walking forward into the light Saw's face went from serious to relieved "that is all we need to hear my friend" "what's going on who are these people?" Hunter asked "villagers, croppers, former Republic fighters, all now displaced refugees since Palpatine unjustly appointed himself Emperor" Saw said with a small scowl "according to the reports a rouge Jedi made an attempt on the Supreme Chancellor's life his actions were a defensive measure" "and I figured you were the smart one, with the Jedi decimated and the clone army under his command Palpatine will have control over the whole galaxy unless we stop him" "the war is over"
(Hunter's POV)
I looked at Saw's forces seeing how few fighters he currently had feeling Neve's hand curl around mine I held her hand tightly "If we give up now, everything we fought for everyone we lost, will have been for nothing, I won't let that happen" Saw said "the Clone war may have ended, but a civil war is about to begin"he added  "with a handful of fighters and limited firepower?" I pointed out to him looking him in the eye "you don't stand a chance" "not alone we don't" "we should leave if we're gonna make the rendezvous, what do we do with them?" I heard one of his men ask looking at us "the clones once helped us free Onderon, so we'll give them a choice the old ways are done" Saw held my blaster at my face as if to shoot me "Saw" "you either adapt and survive or die with the past, the discussion is yours" I took my blaster form him as he turned and left us with his fighters and the civilians Wrecker gathered our stuff up passing me my helmet Neve grabbed hers from Echo I looked at the surrounding jungle sensing a electromagnetic field before we began our trek back to the Marauder I could hear the squad talking about what happened "at least with the Republic we knew where we stood, TarKin and this Empire are a whole different story" Tech said "that's one way to put it" I heard Neve say to herself her ears lowered that had me worried "why are we debating this?" Crosshair asked we stopped walking "we need to complete the mission" he added "wake up Crosshair they sent us to eliminate innocent civilians" "who's says they're innocent" "what's wrong with you!?" I asked anger raising "me!? I'm following orders" "exactly" I said as my eyes narrowed "those insurgents are plotting against the Emperor, if you don't have the stomach that needs to be done then your not fit to lead this squad" I glared at him as he glared back when a branch snapped behind him I fired my blaster "we're being followed" I said roughly shoving past him we approached the droid as it was on the ground still smoking from when I had shot it "that is a prob droid" "TarKin's spying on us now?" Wrecker asked "the Jedi never did that" Echo said "not that you know of" I stared at the prob droid remembering what Omega said "Omega" I muttered "what about her?" Echo asked "she warned me about the mission and TarKin, she said not to return to Kamino and that it's not safe for us anymore" "maybe she's right" "we're taking the word of a child now?" "I would not discount Omega's insight, a state of heightened awareness is not unusual for an enhanced clone such as herself" "haha good one Tech you almost had us" "Nala Se spoke of five Clones, TarKin assumed it meant us but Echo's a reg the fifth is Omega" Tech said "I conformed my suspicions after analysing her DNA while we were in the infirmary" "and you waited until now to mention it!?" Fives asked "well I thought it was obvious" "how is it obvious!?" I heard the squad argue about it remembering what Neve had said "we're going back for her" I said walking to the ship being stopped by Crosshair who stood in my way "disobeying orders again over a kid?" I glared at him "bad play Hunter" I slapped his hand "she's one of us we're not leaving her there"
(Neve's POV)
I got off the ship with the squad walking towards the hanger's doors after arriving back to Kamino "all right stick to the plan split up find Omega meet back here at the ship" the others nodded I walked beside Hunter as we walked through the eerily quiet hanger my ears pinned behind my head on high alert "it's so quiet" "yep" "too quiet for my liking I just got a bad feeling about this" I said voicing my concern Hunter looked over to me just as tense "your not the only one Neve" I moved to stand next to Hunter as we walked further into the hanger when Shock Troopers surrounded us "Freeze!" I let out a hiss fur bristled as everyone went defensive Hunter unsheathed his knife slightly as I raised my fists up "well didn't see that coming" Crosshair commented as I slapped him "the Empire doesn't tolerate failure Sergeant" we looked to TarKin "there were complications" Hunter said sheathing his knife "yes the prob droid's report was quite detailed, conspiring with Saw Gurera" "you lied to make them kill innocent civilians who didn't want to work for the Empire" I semi yelled glaring at him anger brewing "I hope you all know the punishment for treason" "treason!?" Hunter questioned before getting pissed "like Neve said you wanted us to do your dirty work we will never harm people we have served and worked with" he said pulling me behind him protectively "throw them in the brig" we all were thrown in a cell stripped of our gear and weapons I put my middle finger at them in retaliation as the guards left everyone mentally questioned what to do now "smells weird" "that's because it's clean" I sensed Omega's presence in the cell with us looking around before seeing Omega who waved at me "well at least we got one half of the plan down" I spoke motioning to Omega with a bright smile as the boys looked over "I told you not to come back" "had to we were looking for you" "me?" Omega asked "you came back for me?" I nodded "that's right or you could stay on Kamino if" "no it's like I said before I want to come with you" "welcome to the squad kid" I whispered making her look at me with her own smile "how touching" "uh Hunter how are we breaking out of here?" Wrecker asked "I'm working on it" "you know what you should work on?" Crosshair said "explaining when you went soft" "stow it Crosshair" "don't you see we're locked up in here because of him!" I went over to Hunter holding his hand "he had us disobey orders" "I never thought disobeying orders was a problem" "yeah we do it all the time" Wrecker said "good soldiers follow orders every choice you made since Kellar has been wrong, first the Jedi then Gerrera, your becoming a liability" "we can debate my choices later for now let's focus on getting out of here" we sat down on the benches in the cell silently debating what to do when one of the guards walked over as the cell door deactivated "CT-9904 you're coming with us" the boys stood behind Hunter "oh no we stay together" he said "Serge/Hunter!" I knelt beside him after being hit in the gut I glared at them ears pinned behind my head growling as my hair slowly transitioned into flames eyes glowing as my tail bristled defensively Crosshair got up going with them they left us alone we all sat back down once again figuring out how to get out of the cell "come on Neve think, all that training ain't for nothing" I came out of my thoughts to see Omega copying Hunter making me giggle at the sight before going back to thinking banging my knuckles creating a rhythm hearing Omega copying the same thing I was doing "I got nothing, Fives?" I asked "nope got nothing in my brain" "anyone got any ideas I'm all ears" I asked around the squad "nope" "got nothing" "I've got it why didn't I think of it before?" Tech said "Tech?" I asked "these were originally barracks since they converted it into cells to hold people they didn't account for someone like Wrecker" Tech explained "you mean I can punch our way out of here?" Wrecker asked excited me and Hunter shushed at him "you mean I can punch our way out?" Wrecker asked more quietly "if you hit the correct spot" "right show me where" "if this is going to work we need some cover everyone form a wall" Hunter said we formed a wall "hit here" "tell me when?" Wrecker asked as a guard entered "now" Hunter called he hit the wall as we acted causal "nothing happened" "are sure this will work?" Hunter asked Tech calmly "hit it again a little harder" "and hurry we don't have time Wrecker" he brought his first back before he had hit the wall I looked over to the guards they got distracted "it still didn't work" Tech went over to the wall "oh yes it did look" "I'll never fit through that" "astute as always Wrecker but I was going to suggest that" "I'll do it" I said "you sure" "I'll be fine Hunter" "all right good luck" he whispered I shifted into my fox form getting into the wall climbing up to a closed vent "wait where's the Jedi?" I heard one trooper ask loudly "you tell us" Echo said "harm her and you're a dead man" Hunter growled "we need location of the prisoner, tell us where she is" I peered through the grid as the vent moved making the troopers look up "what was that?" I heard one ask "sorry these floors don't hold me so well on account that they're not designed for abnormal individuals such as myself" Wrecker said "what's that behind you?" Wrecker grinned "nothing" "move away from the wall" "why don't you come here and make me" "copy that the Jedi is still registered in lockdown tell us where she is" I shifted back to my human form hitting the vent as it came loose falling into the shock troopers as I rolled off it knocking two troopers out "hit the switch Neve!" I ran to the console lowering the ray shield as I got grabbed by my hair I twisted myself around to kick the trooper in the shin as Wrecker and Echo dealt with the other two guards wrapping my leg around his neck before twisting around throwing him into the console knocking him unconscious the helmet cracked "what the kriff was that?" Hunter asked "oh that so my SHIELD and military training kicked in" "if you did that to me during one of our sparring matches I would be unconscious" "uh no you wouldn't you would just lie there and I don't know relish in it" I said giving him a smirk "what no I wouldn't, okay maybe a little" "pfft I can imagine him getting strangled by Neve's thighs" Fives said "you'd be surprised on many people I had knocked unconscious just by using my hands" I said "we need to find out where they took Crosshair" "let's move before they wake up" I said walking out of the cell room with everyone else
(Hunter's POV)
I raised my hand up into a fist stopping everyone as they stood behind me making our way through the hallways as they were quiet looking over to Neve seeing her fur bristle resting my hand on her own "hey we're going to be okay, we're getting out of here" I whispered to her reassuringly "I can't shake the feeling something's going to happen" she said "we won't get very far without our gear" "they started moving your things to the hanger you gear might be there too" "let's move" we walked into the hanger where our gear and stuff had been taken too "alright boys suit up let's make this quick" I said gathering my armour getting it back on watching Neve stretch her wings out to their full length giving them a flap blowing dust of some crates before folding them up "nice to see you're using the wing guards to protect your wings" I said gently brushing the outside of her wings "you can pet them later love" she said I took my knife flipping it around to sheathe it "Tech power up the ship the rest of us will go after Crosshair" I ordered "I don't think we'll have to go very far" when the doors to the hanger started opening we took cover as Shock troopers entered the hanger followed closely by Crosshair wearing black armour "is that Crosshair?" Wrecker asked "Hunter be careful" Neve whispered to me "I will" I replied getting up to face my brother "best stand down Sergeant make this easier for yourself" Crosshair said "have you lost your mind?" I asked "we should've killed those Jedi you disobeyed orders" "I did what I thought was right how can you say that the Jedi are our allies our friends" "you never could see the bigger picture now surrender" I looked to the squad Wrecker, Echo and Fives were ready to fight "is that an order?" I asked my voice sharp and low with a bite "I guess it is" "well I guess I'm disobeying that one too" I said my eyes narrowed as me and Crosshair stared each other down before he fired first I ducked down next to Omega pulling my helmet on "Tech, we gotta move now!" "I'm working on it" he called as smoke filled the hanger as we fired back at the regs and Crosshair ducking when another shot was fired "we need to clear out the smoke!" Neve called "Wrecker clear the smoke on three" "you got it boss" "Omega stay low, one, two" "THREE!" Wrecker used the crate lids to clear the smoke throwing one at the regs and throwing the other at Crosshair before he went down "Omega don't" I pulled Omega back "he's using Wrecker as bait" "but he needs help" "Tech we're out of time" "almost got it" "seal the bay doors" I looked up as the door started lowering before stopping "sir someone's overriding the the controls" "when I say go you head for that Ramp and don't don't stop got it?" Omega nodded "Echo, Fives we go for Wrecker" they nodded "I'll give you boys some cover" "no you go with Omega to the ship" I could feel the look she gave me through her helmet's visor "GO!" I yelled as we fired back taking out some of the regs heading for Wrecker helping him to the ship when a blaster bolt flew passed my head hitting a reg's blaster as it flew from their hands I looked up to Neve in surprise seeing her holding a standard blaster as she stood on the ship's ramp I turned back around to see Crosshair running over shooting the remaining regs as Neve laid down cover fire as we pulled Wrecker in with Crosshair helping us as we escaped Kamino Echo got to work patching him up I heard Neve talking with Crosshair "Nala Se told me to act like that until getting to the hanger" "what did TarKin want to do to you though?" "I don't know but she didn't go through with it" "go change out of that armour now Crosshair" he walked in grabbing his armour putting it back on as Wrecker yelled out in pain "ow, hey what's that gonna do?" Wrecker asked him as Fives sat with him "you'll be fine just hold still" "was this what you're looking for?" Omega asked holding up Lula as he gasped "you found my Lula ow!" Tech walked in with his datapad "now let me see, hold still" "don't examine me I'm not a computer" "this'll only take just a second" "get that thing away from me" I watched Omega walk out into the cockpit looking out into space "are you okay General Skywalker?" "I'm fine Omega and call me Neve" "that was so cool how you saved Hunter how did you do that where did you learn to do that?" I walked into the cockpit hearing Neve laugh "are you a soldier?" "I am but I'm still a Jedi first" "you're a Mandalorian and Cybertronian too you know" I said "are you sure you're fine Neve?" I asked seeing the exhaustion in her shoulders and face "honestly I'm not okay especially with what happened we're lucky to have escaped alive" she said "she's not wrong on that one" "I'm fine takes more than that to take me down" "you were down" "yeah but not for long" Wrecker laughed before wincing in pain sitting down "sorry about that Wrecker" "it's fine" "what's the plan Hunter?" Tech asked as the squad looked to me I crossed my arms "well I thought we could go off on our own lay low but with the Empire gunning for us and Neve I'm not so sure" I admitted "what about your friends could any of them help us?" Omega asked "that would be a very short list" I thought for a moment before smiling softly "I can think of one, plot course for Gia-19" I said Tech nodded "Gia-19?" Echo questioned as both him and Fives looked at me confused not heard of it before though Neve seemed to recognise the system "we know a guy" I said "yeah" Wrecker cheered "strap in kid you wouldn't want to miss this" I said wrapping an arm around Neve as Omega sat in the co-pilot seat looking through the window wide eyes as we entered hyperspace
