Chapter 6: Moon crash

Okay here's Chapter 6
This is during the episode Replacements. Neve gains the ability to breathe in space in her human form.
Omega learns about Neve's family and her bloodline.
(Hunter's POV)
I woke up in Neve's quarters with a yawn stretching before smelling the iron scent of blood very strongly my mind went rampant worried "did anyone get injured? Oh gods did Neve get hurt" I questioned before hearing Neve groan in pain waking up "you feeling alright love?" I asked her gently "yeah I'm okay it's just that my stomach's been cramping" "did you get injured?" I asked her again "what no why do you ask?" "I can smell blood" her eyes widened lifting up the covers to see a dark bloodstain on the sheets before letting out a curse "oh fuck not again" she growled out in frustration I gently rubbed her back "I'm on my fucking period that's just fucking wonderful" "go clean up love I'll sort out the sheets" she walked into the refresher leaving me to handle the laundry "oh no" Fives muttered Echo looked over both visibly concerned after seeing the bloodstained sheets "period?" Echo asked cautiously "period" I nodded putting the sheets in the wash Neve walked out wearing her armour putting her pyjamas in as well I gently coxed her to take a painkiller before doing anything "thanks love" she smiled at me I gave out rations to my brothers before going to give Neve and Omega their share finding Neve sitting on the floor while Omega played with her hair "having fun?" I asked grinning at Neve she gave me a look before smiling "oh we're having fun alright right Omega?" "Yeah" she smiled while braiding her hair "you should let Neve braid your hair Hunter" I sighed sitting in front of Neve as she braided my hair to pass the time but to also teach Omega how to braid hair "hey Neve how are you good at braiding hair?" "I have two sisters and a niece I learned how to braid hair from my older sister Null" "I thought Anakin and Blade were your only siblings" "oh no I have 8 siblings all together I have 6 brothers four older than me 2 younger than me" she explained before showing Omega a picture of her family no doubt "who are those two?" "Milo and Kira my niece and nephew" "I would like to meet them" "well it'll depend if we're near my home planet Omega" Omega braided my hair next I sat as still as I could for her while offering Neve her ration share then gave Omega her share when she was finished Wrecker climbed down from the gunner seat to get his share "give me another one" "Wrecker we don't have much rations on board the ship" "you can have mine" I stopped Wrecker from taking Omega's ration share "Omega doesn't even have a place to sleep don't go taking her food now" "Hunter calm down" Neve grabbed my arm I looked at her seeing the worry in her face "you need to calm down before you lash out" I caught a glimpse of my reflection seeing my eyes a yellowish gold colour instead of my normal eye colour "it's like Kamino all over again" I muttered "you're stressed out Hunter it's gonna be okay" I wrapped my arm around her as she kissed my check sweetly "oh also would this be helpful" Neve held out a packaged meal "are those" "MREs yep I forgot I had these on me but there's not many though" she handed the one in her hand to Wrecker as she ate some of her ration bar "did you have your share?" "I haven't had mine yet Neve" she broke off a piece she hadn't bitten handing it to me "you need to eat as well Hunter" I took it from her to eat it "you had those this entire time" "I said I forgot about I had these Crosshair" she snapped at him in anger the lights sparked and blinked we looked up as it happened again "that'll be annoying" Neve muttered annoyance in her tone "Echo the lights are acting up again I thought you fixed it" "yeah I'll add it to the list, the ship got hit hard when we fled Sulucami several systems have been glitching ever since, the repairs would go faster of I had some help" Echo said eyeing Tech who was doing something in the cockpit in the pilot's seat looking to Neve she was holding her stomach as it cramped "as soon as I finish building this scanner, testing the functionality of our inhibitor chips takes precedence" "I thought you said they were defective" "a theory this device will prove besides the ship wide diagnostic reported no critical systems had been damaged" I walked into the Marauder's cockpit unbraiding my hair with Neve's help when the ship suddenly dropped out of hyperspace I quickly steadied myself and Neve before standing behind Tech "getting thrown outta hyperspace I'd say that pretty critical Tech" "it's not affecting life support we're fine" "are you kidding me!?" I responded with Neve in unison "the power compactor's blown we need to land immediately" "strap yourselves in now!" I called "get ready for your first crash landing kid" "crash!" Omega cried out as she, Crosshair, Fives and Wrecker strapped themselves in as Tech started to land the Marauder "ah I can't see anything" Echo said "we're gonna die, we're gonna die, we're gonna be fine, we're gonna be fine" "Wrecker not helping!" Neve yelled out "hold on!" I called as Tech landed the ship I helped Neve up to her feet before getting Gonky up looking to the others "everyone alright?" I called "is it over?" Omega asked "yeah" I caught Neve before she fell over something "you okay?" I asked her softly "yeah just a little bit dizzy" Echo sat at the console as Tech looked over the ship's systems Neve stretched herself out hearing the bones crack "the storm's getting worse it's knocking out our comms" "I suspect one of our capacitors sustained damage from our firefight with the regs we won't be able to take off without it" "great" Neve muttered "inventory analysis indicates we have one spare on board" "is it in here?" Omega called a loud thud made us look "what?" Omega asked "that's my weapon kit, I am so sorry for that Wrecker" "ah it's fine Vod but it sure hurt" Wrecker moved his arm while wincing "It's worth noting the possibility that your actions were influenced by your inhibitor chip beforehand Crosshair" I crossed my arms "it can do that?" Echo asked "that's what it was designed to do" "so it wasn't my fault?" Crosshair asked "well..." Tech began "look, debating this won't fix the ship right now, we need to find that capacitor and get off this rock" I said "I'll be back"
(Outside the ship)
(Echo's POV)
I followed Tech outside wearing oxygen masks as he pulled a panel off the ship putting it down pulling the damaged capacitor out putting the new one in "careful those capacitors hold massive charge" he adjusted it making sure it was in place properly as I turned around hearing something behind me I held up my light looking around the surrounding area when seeing claw marks "Tech look at this" I called he walked over to look at the marks "those were not there before" he said "let's head inside" I said

(Neve's POV)
I stood in the refresher looking at my hair that was down to my tail gathering it up grabbing my knife to cut it short just past my shoulders burning it using my fire sheathing my knife walking out before I sat in the cockpit with Omega as she played with an oxygen mask turning it on and off hearing Wrecker groaning in pain loudly I went to stand next to Hunter as he looked to Wrecker "what's wrong with you" "ah nothing must've hit my head during the crash" "short hair looks good on you Neve" "oh this thanks Hunter, I got tired of being grabbed by my hair plus it hurts" I said he turned me around "hold still" he tied my hair up into a ponytail "thank you Hunter" "you're welcome mesh'la" he said before kissing my cheek just as Echo and Tech walked back in "the capacitor is in place but other systems are now failing" Tech said "something's causing damage to the exterior hull" "you want to narrow that down?" Hunter asked when the lights went off loud thudding from outside that sounded like footsteps following them out to the cockpit I let out a loud scream when a creature appeared with the capacitor in it's mouth ran off as the others came in "what, what is it?" Hunter asked looking to me as he looked me over "there was a creature that was this big and a long tail it ran off with the part" Omega said pointing to where it ran off Echo looked at the ship's console "she's right the capacitor is missing and that was our last one" "the creature is no doubt an Ordo Moon Dragon, a species that feeds on raw energy" Tech said "that would've been nice to know beforehand Tech" "you two get those other systems online, Crosshair Wrecker, Fives stay here me and Neve will go after the dragon and get our part back" "I'm fine" "you're staying" "I'll go with you" "no that thing could be dangerous" "I'm part of this squad now too right?" I looked to the others as they looked to me Echo shrugged "alright kid just stay close to me and Neve" "hopefully it hasn't gone to far now" I said to him grabbing an oxygen mask following the two out of the ship I walked alongside Hunter as he tracked down the Ordo dragon "what are you doing?" Omega asked him curious "tracking" he replied "could I learn to track like you?" I smiled "it's an enhanced skill Tech, Crosshair and Wrecker we each have one" he explained to her before sighing "Hunter what's wrong?" I asked he sighed "I'm angry at myself for failing to protect you" he said "Hunter listen to me you didn't fail I'm still here aren't I" I said Hunter nodded in agreement "can you track things like Hunter?" Omega asked me changing the subject as I looked to her "I can but not as well as him" I said smiling he looked to me with a look "now that's a lie Neve, your senses are just as good as mine" he said hearing the amusement "okay shush you" I said lightly tapping him with my hand as he chuckled at me "I know I asked about Earth a lot but I wanna see it" "well when we get enough supplies and fuel we can head there" "really can we?" I looked over at Hunter seeing him give me a look I smiled innocently at him seeing a smile form on his face"yes can we?" I asked him teasingly while acting cute he sighed in defeat "alright alright you both win we can go to Earth when we have the supplies okay" Omega beamed happily "you're such a troublemaker" he said wrapping his arm around my waist "mhm but you love me" he rested his forehead on mine before finding the component "well we found it, wait here" he went over looking around before he knelt down to pick it my ears flicked up hearing a noise in front of us "Hunter" I called out to him he looked up as a Ordo Moon Dragon leapt on him knocking him down I grabbed my blaster scaring it away with a couple of warning shots "it's getting away!" Omega called out to Hunter "Hunter!" I knelt down next to him as he choked having lost his mask dropping to his knees and hand "your mask!" "Omega find his mask!" I said "I can't find it!" I racked my brain for a plan and a quick one with only minutes or seconds to spare "I have no other choice then" I held my breath tearing my mask off quickly placing it on Hunter scaring Omega slightly "I can last without breathing, Omega stay here with Hunter" I signed to her "but" "I'll be okay" I signed going after the Moon Dragon taking off in a run following its trail "I know I can last without breathing no don't think about that focus on getting the component back" I thought to myself finding the Moon Dragon's den climbing in I switched the flashlight I grabbed on to see where I was going as I crawled my way through the tunnel finding the component for the Marauder "there it is" I grabbed it from the ground before hearing a noise behind me "what was that?" I questioned raising my flashlight up before letting out a yell of fright and surprise sitting on my butt grabbing my blaster seeing it next to me it roared at me before recoiling from the flashlight I remembered a piece of information about them that Tech had spewed out during his info dump back in the Marauder about them looking at the flashlight in my hand before throwing it away from me as the Moon Dragon went after it getting its meal before quickly realising I wasn't having difficulty breathing or choking "I can breathe in this environment, how?" I questioned before realising it was from me being Cybertronian I made my way out with the component climbing out seeing Hunter and Omega "I got the component" I said as Hunter helped me out of the dragon den's entrance before seeing shock in his face "yeah I know I'm not having any problems breathing wise" I said "I just was going to say something about the fact you can breathe alright" he said "let's get back and get out of here" "I couldn't agree more" "I found his mask" I followed them back to the Marauder seeing the others outside the ship "but seriously how is this possible?" "I don't know either but it's probably something to do with me being a hybrid of a human and Cybertronian" I suspected "and you are correct in that assumption given that Cybertronian biology is similar to humans therefore they are compatible for sexual activities certain qualities of your mother's Cybertronian genetics have fused with the human genetics of your father therefore creating your own unique genetic structure" Tech explained me and Hunter looked at each other before we stared at him "if her parents were two different species how did they uh ya know did the deed?" Fives asked "I won't lie I'm kinda curious about that now" "okay we are not having this discussion about how me and my siblings were conceived" I said "what does that mean?" Omega asked "it's the term used for when a expecting mother learns about her pregnancy" I explained it best to Omega "and I think we all had enough excitement for one day" "ha yep" "just the capacitor and we can leave" "good let's go then" I walked onto the ramp after Tech put the capacitor back in the others were inside waiting for me and Hunter stopping after sensing a presence watching us I turned my head instinctively looking around the area seeing a faint golden glow in the distance feeling Hunter's hand on my shoulder "hey you alright?" Hunter asked hearing the worry in his voice making me look at him "sorry it's just I thought I saw something " I said "a prop droid?" I shook my head "no it had a presence it's gone now" we walked in the ramp sealing shut with a hiss as oxygen refilled the cockpit the others put their oxygen masks away after taking them off I gave Hunter a kiss once his was off before going to the refresher to clean up again while my stomach cramped painfully
(Omega's POV)
I watched Mom go into the refresher before looking over to Dad "Hunter is she okay?" I asked he looked to the closed door of the refresher before looking to me "Neve's alright Omega she's just dealing with something" he responded with reassurance while grabbing three cups "what are you doing?" I asked curiously "I'm making hot chocolate" "what's hot chocolate?" I asked "it's hot milk and cocoa powder mixed to create a hot drink hence the name" "oh okay" "now where did the marshmallows go?" I noticed a bag of them "is it these?" I asked holding up the bag of marshmallows "yeah that's the marshmallows thanks Omega" he took the bag opening it after getting the milk hot "is it alright if I check on her?" I asked "sure go ahead but be careful the floor is still cluttered" he said I walked to the refresher opening the door to see blood on the floor at Mom's feet she noticed me "Omega calm down I'm okay" "HUNTER!" I yelled out running to him
(Neve's POV)
I sighed forgetting to lock the refresher's door slowly running my hand down my face as Hunter walked in "are you alright?" "I'm fine Omega saw the blood" I saw her peer in "Omega I'm fine really" "why are you bleeding did you get hurt?" I rested my hand on her shoulder "Omega this is normal the bleeding there's no wound it's something all girls go through after reaching a certain age" "why what is it?" I internally cried dreading the conversation "I'm on my period it's a normal thing for women during something called Ovulation, let me tell you something I started getting my period at around 13" "does Hunter know you get them?" I nodded "oh yeah he does know I get them freaked out when he saw both the blood and sensed the change in my hormones the first time right after a siege I might need to get extra stuff" "why?" "Omega how old are you?" "I'm 11 why?" "I'm sure when you're around 12 you'll get your first period" "does it hurt?" I patted her shoulder "the bleeding is normal you'll get cramps here and there but it depends really but it'll hurt and make you feel like you're dying it's just all part of growing up" I bit my lip as my stomach cramped again "but mine are the most painful" "I'll get a hot water bottle and cloth go lay down in your room for a bit Neve I'll bring your hot chocolate in with them" "okay then thanks love" I walked to my quarters laying on my bed leaning against the head rest biting back my whines of pain I picked up my Vibrio knife Hunter had gotten me as a present after becoming the squad's General to clean distracting myself from the cramps just as Hunter walked in "how are you feeling?" "I'm fine just the cramps are getting worse and I forgot to take another painkiller" he handed me my hot chocolate "I'm guessing you made one for Omega to have" "yep I'm just hoping Wrecker doesn't eat all the marshmallows or anything that'll help you with the cramps" I took a sip letting the hot beverage warm up my cold insides as Hunter put the wrapped up the hot water bottle on my stomach before sitting behind me letting me lean on his chest he wrapped his arm around me before holding his own cup of hot chocolate I sipped my drink again relishing and enjoying both the beverage and Hunter's presence "you feeling better now?" "I feel much better it helps" I answered curling up in his arms before purring in content "you're such a cat love" "and you're really warm and comfy" I muttered finishing my drink using the Force to put the empty cup on the table near the bed he finished his drink putting his cup next to mine wrapping his other arm around me rubbing my belly gently and tenderly "I know we talked about having a family before this happened" "Hunter wait until we find a place to go and lay low or when we go to Earth then we can think about it" I spoke he chuckled at me laying down with me laying on top of him "I know love I know" I let out a yawn relaxing on top of him as he pull the blanket over us both I fell asleep with him holding me close to him
(Echo's POV)
I talked with Fives since we couldn't sleep Tech had went to check on Neve and Hunter Omega was in her new room Wrecker made for her with Crosshair I watched Tech walk in "they're asleep" he said "let's hope tomorrow she isn't in a sour mood if she sleeps well tonight" Fives said I nodded "she did always say she felt like her insides were being pulled inside out" Crosshair muttered "I'll be the first to say that we will never understand the pain she's in when it's that time of the month" Fives said "hey Fives, Echo who are all these people?" Omega asked pointing to the wall of photos "Neve's family those are her siblings and these two there are Milo and Kira her niece and nephew" "who are they?" I looked to where Omega was pointing at "that is BlueStar and Winston Skywalker they're her parents" I said as she looked at the picture "will I be able to meet them when we go to Earth?" Omega asked we looked to each other not knowing what to say since they're not around "you won't be able to Omega" I looked to Neve and Hunter both of them awake "I thought you both were asleep?" Fives asked "couldn't really since pain kept flaring" "why won't I be able to meet them?" Omega asked Neve sighed as her ears lowered "they're dead Omega they had died when me and Anakin were 9 both my younger siblings Duke and Kayla were 7 and 5 when they were murdered in cold blood" she said Omega gasped we stared at her Fives covered his mouth "what happened to them?" Tech asked
(Hunter's POV)
I watched Omega sit with Crosshair and Wrecker while hearing Neve sigh "guys I know we're all curious about this but I don't think it's a good idea" I spoke understanding the fact that it's clearly a sore subject for Neve "it's alright Hunter might as well get it off my chest" she said in a reassuring manner before adding "plus I can see you want to know" I sighed before sitting down on my bunk with her "so what happened to them?" Fives asked "I remember it clear as day and as Kamino's waters, it was right after visiting Kamino I was outside with my parents and siblings exploring the outside world instead of the walls of my home, I hadn't even fully gotten all my adult feathers like the ones I have now I still had some of my baby feathers" she stretched out her wings showing the feathers "so yeah a fledgling back then, anyway I was chasing after a butterfly with Anakin trying to catch it ended up getting a telling off from my mom when I called him a uh penis face" Fives snickered "how did you even call him that?" "I might've overheard Jango and my dad call each other that so my first curse word was learned from those two" we laughed at that I stopped when Neve's face darkened "something tells me something or someone was involved" I rested my hand on hers "anyway while chasing after the butterfly the sky had darkened mostly because of a storm that had been forming out in the ocean, while looking up I noticed a ship in the sky landing in the woods both my parents had gotten tense told Notch to take us into the castle, minutes turned into hours and being a curious kid back then I snuck out of the castle to follow both my parents into the forest, when I reached where they were my mom was arguing with a Cybertronian with blue and gold armour both my parents clearly didn't want him around me and my siblings but what happened next has haunted and tormented me since then" she took a breath before continuing ears lowered "the Cybertronian had raised his weapon at them causing my mom to turn into her Cybertronian form my dad had noticed me hiding in the bushes he wasn't mad at me for sneaking out of the castle but told me to go back there, bear in mind this was before I knew that my mom was a Cybertronian I was scared and had no idea what was happening, the next thing I knew the Cybertronian killed my dad right before my eyes my mom saw me then she told me to run as she fought against his killer" "didn't you run?" "Fives I was paralysed with fear, I had just watched my own father get killed right in front of me because of me, if my sister Null hadn't saw me snuck out I wouldn't be here now" I looked at her in both shock and worry "Neve what happened next?" I gently coaxed her "the killer raised his weapon at me just as Notch grabbed hold of me as mom shoved dad's killer away, my shock had worn off when mom told Notch to run and take me home just as she was killed I remember the way I had screamed for her as Notch took off in a fast sprint, while Notch was running away from the scene something had hit me causing Notch to run faster back to the castle, the next thing I knew I was in my room with my siblings with me I asked Notch were mom and dad was hoping and praying that it was all just a bad dream" I could hear the trembling and sadness in her voice "when Notch told me they were dead, if you boys were around during their funeral you would've heard my screams of both pain and sadness while Hero set fire to the funeral pyres" I pulled her to my chest as the boys were silent digesting what she had told them and me "I never asked for the whole story but now I know what happened to her parents" I felt my blood boil wanting to kill the bastard who had caused so much pain for her and her family "no Neve needs you now it's bad enough the Empire is after her and her brother, I am not letting anyone hurt her again" I vowed to myself "after that day I vowed to never let my fear control me, I swore to myself that no one else would suffer the same pain I had endured when my parents were murdered in cold blood" Neve said she sighed "my father had started to teach me and Anakin how to fight then my older brothers took over training me took us both to all sorts of places in order to be able to protect ourselves" "would explain how you both are great fighters" Echo said "Dad had always called me his little warrior from the moment I had started toddling around"
(Echo's POV)
I sat in silent horror and shock fully absorbing her story "she's been through so much and she's still here, gods that must've been so hard for her when they were killed" I looked over to the others all shocked and sad Omega ran over to Neve hugging her tightly "you guys would've loved my parents if they were still here, mom often told me and Anakin stories about the wider galaxy when I was little my curiosity about the galaxy grew dad used to tell us about Terre Vizsla and how he met mom, this necklace belonged to mom before she gave it to me" she held out the necklace for us to look at "the necklace itself is made of Beskar the gem is a blue diamond, dad gave it to mom as a wedding gift when they had married, originally mom was going to give it to Null but she didn't want it, so it was passed down to me then" she explained "it's so pretty" Omega said very amazed at the necklace and it's design "Neve we had no idea how much you had gone through, how long have you kept this to yourself?" Hunter asked her I could see his worry bubbling over "a long time I never was asked about it, I never had to bring it up mostly because of what happened afterwards" "oh yeah" "and being able to be with you Hunter" she put the necklace back under her armour to keep it safe and from getting broken we sat in silence when Omega yawned tiredly "I think we all could use some sleep" I yawned with everyone else as drowsiness started settling in "it's best that we get some sleep tonight" Neve said as we all agreed
(Neve's POV)
I winced in pain as my stomach flared with pain my hands wrapping around my stomach "you sure you want to sleep here Neve?" Hunter asked "I'll be fine Hunter" "hey why don't we sleep in a cuddle pile for tonight" Fives suggested "yeah that's great let's pull all the mattresses together" I laughed Hunter smiled before he grabbed extra pillows and blankets helping out before the squad was shedding their armour to make it a bit more comfortable I took mind off too stretching out before taking Hunter's hand curling up into his side shifting into my beast form "so soft" Fives cooed laying his head on me Echo did the same as I looked at them both "I forgot how soft she is, she's so soft like a pillow" Echo said curled up into a ball Omega nestled between me and Hunter yawning before curling up into me as I brought my wing over her and Hunter acting as a blanket to keep both of  them warm I yawned laying my head on his chest as he wrapped his arm around me falling asleep
Gosh I made the explanation of the death of BlueStar and Winston's death sad
Well least I had ended wholesomely
