Chapter 10: Battle Scars

Oh boy things are starting to get crazy
Okay so Hunter's chip activates and only his, Wrecker's completely fine.
I'm not spoiling the rest of the chapter so enjoy.
Oh in the previous chapter the incident with Tup was mentioned Fives did succeed in revealing the chips, but he had forgotten due to being unconscious from getting shot, Tup is alive just very shaken up.
(Neve's POV)
I grabbed onto the chair while we were making our escape Crosshair sat in it holding on for dear life as the ship was under fire "Tech how long until we're in hyperspace!?" Hunter called out to Tech while he was firing at our attackers in the gun "that depends on when Echo plans on getting the hyperdrive online" Tech replied as Echo flared at him "I'm working on it" "hey cut it out both of you!" I yelled out to them as Wrecker and Omega strapped into the seats after strapping the lizard in "I don't think Ruby likes this very much" Omega said "you named that thing!?" Wrecker asked strapping in as I slid past grabbing onto the chair "what's with these guys!?" Wrecker asked again as Tech dodged the bolts from hitting the ship Fives was out in the cockpit helping Echo out "well we did steal from them" I answered "technically they stole the lizard first we're merely intercepting it" "they don't see it that way" Hunter called "tell me about it" I let out a yelp when the ship jerked around "Neve you alright!?" Hunter called to me "I'm fine Hunter!" I called to him as the lizard broke loose "Wrecker the lizard's loose!" I yelled as it climbed onto his face like a Facehugger "AHH! GET IT OFF!" Wrecker shrieked out loudly "calm down you're scaring her" "get it off! get it off!" I sighed he ran into the cockpit running into the chair that Fives was sitting on the lizard rolled off his face onto the ship's floor "Omega grab her cage" "got her!" Omega said having grabbed the cage using it to catch Ruby "hyperdrive's online!" Echo yelled sitting down as Tech made the jump to hyperspace breathing a sigh of relief slumping against the wall "nice job sweetie" I said "what was that?" Hunter asked coming into the cockpit "just Wrecker running around screaming cause the lizard pulled an Alien on him" I said "you alright?" I asked Wrecker as everyone looked at him "I'm fine" he said making a gesture my legs wobbled as Hunter wrapped his arm securely around my waist keeping me steady he brought me to sit down on the chair
(Rex's POV)
I walked down into the parlour Cid owned with Anakin "what if-" "Clone Force 99 would never turn on her Rex, you saw how much they liked her back during the war, well mostly Hunter" Anakin said "I know but I'm freaking out and worried, plus with you carrying I-" he cut me off "I know you don't want to take chances but when have we not taken a chance?" I sighed "I know you're right" we sat in one of the tables at the back of the parlour with our non alcoholic drinks blending in as we waited for Clone Force 99 to show up two of the parlour's patrons arrived to play a few of the gambling machines as well as drink we continued waiting keeping our identities hidden best we could "I could use a beer about now" "same here" "honestly I think we all could use a drink" I saw Anakin smile underneath his hood as Clone Force 99 entered with Neve and the kid Rafa and Trace mentioned as they returned from whatever they were doing Cid walked out as she looked into the cage at whatever was in it "that is one weird looking lizard" she said "well we risked our hides to get the lizard what does your client want with it now though?" Neve asked "keep it as a pet or make it into a stew how should I know that, bring the lizard round back you'll get your payment" Tech, Crosshair, Fives and Echo went around back with her as Hunter noticed us raising his brows furrowing in suspicion confused a bit but ready to spring into action but was quickly distracted by Wrecker and the kid "what are you two up to now?" Hunter asked Neve leaned against the bar counter with her arms crossed "can we go" "again?" Hunter asked "it's a tradition it makes the kid happy" "uh huh the kid" he sighed before adding "alright but don't take long and come straight back here" "we know come on kid let's get some Mental Mix" they both left laughing as Hunter turned to Neve "makes you wonder who the actual kid is" he said she laughed at him kissing him on the lips holding his face "stop worrying so much they'll be fine Hunter come on let's go see what Cid wants" he sighed through his nose as Neve kissed his lips again going round back out of our view with him following suit after sending us another look our way before disappearing from view "it's great to see them all okay" I nodded agreeing with Anakin while sipping on my drink blending into the shadows
(Hunter's POV)
I stood in between Tech and Echo with Neve next to me Crosshair stood off to the side leaning against the wall with Fives "here's your cut" "hold on I thought you said this was 60%" "for me not for you boys considering the debt you owe me" "what debt?" I asked as she handed me a datapad "docking fees, rations, food and 14 cartons of Mental Mix" I read out loud "oh boy" I let out a low growl pinching the bridge between my eyes "hon calm down, we'll talk to them later about this" I exhaled through my nose looking over to Neve as she grabbed my hand "the both of them are grounded when they get back" "I suggest you lot figure something out before you see my ugly side" "that's not her ugly side?" "Tech!" Neve hissed at him "he ain't wrong" "what was that Goggles?" "you boys I swear" I let out a sigh covering my face with my hand as Neve shock her head at Tech Fives snickered slightly but stopped when Neve sharply glared at him a loud blaster shot rang out from inside the parlour followed by panicked screaming we all ran out of the office to see the commotion Cid's two friends ran out freaked out I looked at the hooded figures "what's going on?" Cid pushed past us locking her attention on the figures "who are you?" I watched as they pulled their hoods down revealing themselves we stared "Rex? General Skywalker?" Echo questioned equally shocked as the rest of us "oh great another Clone, well don't get comfy I'm done taking in strays" Cid said before hitting me with her staff adding "this ain't a Clone charity you know" Cid went back into her office muttering under her breath "it's been awhile boys" "where have you been Rex?" "I'll tell you boys after we have a drink" I watched as Neve and Anakin hugged relieved to see each other alive "heard you boys been keeping her safe" "we had to, I couldn't risk losing her" I said to Rex "hey I know the feeling Hunter" we sat at the bar drinking Neve perched beside me "after the war ended the way it did I guess you could say we've been keeping a low profile" "very low Imperial files have you listed as killed in action" Tech commented "being dead in the eyes of the Empire has its advantages" I said "makes it easier to move in between places" I added "well how'd you manage to track us down?" Echo asked "Trace and Rafa Montez, they said a squad of rouge clones had helped them on Corelia, they told us they could find you here and that you were travelling with a kid so who is she?" Rex asked looking at me questioningly as I took a sip of my drink "Omega she's a Clone like us" I said "and our daughter" Neve added "thank you love for reminding me" "you're welcome" Neve said "what really she's a clone? When did you adopt her?" Anakin asked "she kinda overheard our conversation about adopting her after a week when we were on Salaucami" "I'm an Uncle now?" I nodded "oh that reminds me sis you're" he was cut off just as Wrecker and Omega came back "well look who it is" Wrecker said coming over "come here you two" he scooped Rex up into a bear hug Anakin dodged "good to see you too Wrecker" "woah no bone crushing hug for me Wrecker" Anakin said making Neve look at him confused "you're not one to turn down a hug from Wrecker" "I'll tell you sis" "I thought you didn't like the regs?" Omega questioned confused
(Omega's POV)
I looked at the reg that was with the other person who was a Jedi much like Mom "yeah well this one we like" Wrecker put him down "Omega this is Rex, Rex this is Omega" "I met a lot of Clones in my life but no one like you" I walked forward looking at Rex closely "you're a generation one" "well how'd you know that?" Rex asked "the lines on your face" I heard Mom snort back her laughter with Uncle Fives and Wrecker Crosshair smirked I glanced over to Uncle Echo who had a wide grin on his face "she's not wrong Rex" "who are you?" I asked the Jedi that was standing next to Mom "Omega this is my twin brother Anakin" "hey aww you're so cute" "anyway Anakin what were you going to tell me before?" Mom asked "oh right so I was going to tell you earlier that you're gonna be an Aunt" he said "even though we both already are an Uncle and Aunt" Mom said "well you're gonna be an Aunt sis" Mom stared at him for a bit confused before it hit her "no way no bloody damn way" Mom said grinning "yep we're expecting" Uncle Anakin said with a smile on his face "I would be questioning when this happened but I'm honestly happy for you" "we found out about like 1 month ago just as Order 66 came through" Mom spat out her drink coughing Dad looked at her "a month!" Mom exclaimed in surprise "you're taking this a lot calmer than I expected" "oh trust me I may look calm and composed on the outside but I am freaking the fuck out Ani and well nothing surprises me that badly anymore to be fair" Mom said with a small shrug as she wiped the drink she had spat out from her face "well I suppose now's a good time I should mention that I'm having twins" Mom froze turning her head as she looked at him mouth open in disbelief as Uncle Anakin laughed at her "yep we got another set of Skywalker twins" "I swear we're cursed anyway if Mom was still alive she's be ecstatic about having twin grandkids again" "what do you mean again?" Uncle Rex asked "you know how Entity and Null are twins and me and Anakin are twins, well Milo and Kira are twins and now there's a fourth set of twins I'm starting to suspect this is a genetic thing that runs in our family" Mom said stretching out her wings slightly while Dad looked over to her with a smile on his face before they both looked over to Uncle Wrecker "ow Tech I need another one of those med patches" "you used the last of them" "what's wrong?" Uncle Rex asked "oh it's nothing just a headache" "which are becoming more frequent the more you're getting hit in the head" "is that so" "if you're worried about these so called inhibitor chips don't be our deviated nature has nullified the effects except in Crosshair before it was deactivated" Uncle Tech said fixing his goggles slightly Dad took a sip of his drink as Mom stood beside him Uncle Anakin looked at them with worry "you're telling us you haven't removed your chips?" Uncle Rex asked "no not yet" Uncle Rex pulled me and Mom behind him as Uncle Anakin stood behind him too Mom was about to say something when Rex grabbed hold of his blaster "Rex what are you doing?" Mom asked slightly panicked and confused "Rex" Dad said trying to defuse the situation "those chips make you a threat to everyone around you even to them, you're all ticking time bombs" "take it easy Captain" Dad said "what's in your head is more dangerous than you realise" I saw Dad's face turn to a concerned expression looking over to Mom and me "we've seen what happens when the chip activates and I don't want to bury any more of our brothers" everyone's faces turned from confused to horrified "trust me it's not something you can control I couldn't it's a risk you do not want to take" "how do you suggest we get them out?" Uncle Rex relaxed slightly "follow us to Braca we'll get them out there" "Mom" "I know sweetie I know" she whispered just as worried as me
(Later on, On Braca)
(Cody's POV)
I stood next to the transport ship as we waited for the Marauder to arrive Obi-Wan stood next to me with food "no one's reported seeing the Scraper's guild so far we're in the clear" he said opening his flask to drink the hot tea in it "I have to thank Neve for getting me this, it's certainly been useful" "you and me both Obi-Wan, gosh I feel so old" I said as the Marauder landed the ramp lowered letting out the Bad Batch, Neve and Omega "Obi-Wan!" "Neve wonderful to see you well and very much still alive" "was there any doubt?" I patted her shoulder after she hugged Obi-Wan "General Kenobi, Commander Cody" "it's lovely to see you boys again" "you as well General" I saw a blob of blonde hair hide behind Hunter peeking out from behind him "I see you have a new member to the squad" I said making Neve look over to the kid gesturing for to come over she walked over hiding behind Neve "Omega this is Obi-Wan Kenobi my former teacher" "hello young one it is lovely to meet you, this is Cody" "hey there kiddo" "hello" "Cody it's great to see you but what are you doing here?" Hunter asked me confused "I'm here to keep an eye on the Scrapers guild with a few other battalion members, can't be too careful" "come this way there's a working Medical bay in one of these ruined cruisers" I followed Rex as he lead everyone to the cruiser walking very carefully I talked with the rest of the Bad Batch catching up with them while Obi-Wan talked with Neve and Omega "they adopted her as their own, oh they're definitely parental material" I thought to myself "she is strong in the Force, you did well taking her from Kamino" I heard Obi-Wan say "she was just as in danger as me if her Force sensitivity was found out" Neve said "she still is, Neve did any of them show signs of their Chips activating?" I looked to Obi-Wan as he asked her that "Crosshair's was partially before Nala Se had deactivated it the others were fine though Wrecker kept getting hit in the head but he's fine I think not completely sure but honestly I'm more worried about Hunter" "why's that?" I asked "remember when Tup's chip went off" I nodded before realising what she meant "I'm worried about him he says he's fine but he's not, not to mention he's been having trouble sleeping lately nightmares, I think they started when Order 66 happened, he started showing signs a few days ago but I could've just been paranoid I should've told him but I didn't mostly because it'll worry him more than normal and make it more worse" "you should've told him but I see why you didn't want to" I said "let's proceed with caution if he ends up flipping out" I nodded agreeing with Obi-Wan "I'll take care of it don't worry Master" "that's not what I'm referring to" "how did you get the chips out or how did you find out about them?" Echo asked "Fives figured it out when Tup had lost it" "wait I did wait did you say Tup?" Fives asked before realising what we were talking about "oh now I remember Echo this happened when you were captured, I had never seen you react that fast before Neve you literally tackled Tup to the ground before he shot General Tiplar or was it Tiplee" we reached the entrance of the ship "honestly you have one hell of a reaction time like when you sense something off you literally act faster than Wrecker demolishing a droid" Fives added as Obi-Wan smiled "there's a clear way to the medical bay Rex certainly better than the more risky approach" "thank you General Kenobi" Rex replied "unfortunately we must be heading off to keep an eye on things out here" "stay safe boys oh and Neve be careful"
(Hunter's POV)
I walked alongside Neve holding her hand in mine while Omega asked her questions about the situation with Tup after we learned about it "what did Fives mean by you tackling him?" I asked "well Tup was acting weird while Trench was pinning us down we were helping Master Tiplar and Tiplee I was the first one to notice Tup about to shot her so I reacted without hesitation, as Blade said before me and Anakin left Earth to complete our Jedi training, hesitation means death second to overconfidence the type of attitude that gets you killed" "I see what happened next?" I asked "well it's a bit of a blur I think Fives helped me restrain him we were pushed back so my brother decided to call in for help as well as find out what's gotten into him" "he tried killing you after he regained consciousness cause you knocked him out" "I was in a panic what did you expect me to do" "we had to remove the chip in his head, he's fine just traumatised" "well you boys haven't seen how many times she was able to tell something was wrong and the times she's been cool especially in the heat of battle" Neve made a motion to Rex while Anakin watched with a grin "Mom what does he mean?" Omega asked "it's nothing sweetie just something that happened awhile ago" Neve answered changing the subject I decided to ask her about what was wrong days ago "you want to tell me what you were thinking about a few days ago?" I asked she sighed "back when we were getting the tactical droid you were showing signs of your chip starting to act up I thought I was just overthinking it at first because of what you told me, I didn't tell you because it would just add more stress to you plus it could've gotten worse" she explained "Neve you could've told me" I said "I know but I didn't want you worrying about that when you were dealing with enough shit as is" I pulled her into a hug kissing her forehead "I'm just worried about you Hunter I worry about the others as well" "I know love I know" I said hugging her when "Auntie Kitty!" I watched a child hug Neve "Auntie Kitty?" I asked grinning at her amused "shush you" "Annabelle there you are" I watched a woman walk over "Neve it's great to see you again" "hey Sarah" she greeted "oh who's this?" "Hunter, Omega this is my friend Sarah, Sarah this is Hunter my boyfriend and this is Omega our adopted daughter" "nice to meet you both, this is my daughter Annabelle" "not really the best place to catch up" "you're right, I got filled in on the situation the others are in the medical bay" we all followed her to the medical bay where Rex and Anakin were with a group of military personnel who I recognised back on Anaxes Echo and Fives grinned mingling with them "so who are they?" I asked Neve given that the rest of us hadn't met them before "I'm Captain William Lennox but you can call me Will" "I'm Fig it's a nickname cause my last name is long" "I'm Donnell nice to meet you guys" "I'm Epps" I shook hands with Will "Sergeant Hunter, this is Tech, Wrecker and Crosshair" "they're the team me and Anakin are apart of back home just to clarify" Neve said to me "ah that makes sense" I said "oh so you're Hunter damn you're good looking" Fig mused "that's my boyfriend you're flirting with" Neve glared at him "Fig stop you know she'll whoop your ass" I watched Neve raise her middle finger at him while covering Omega's eyes with her wing "it's nice to put a face to a name so anyway Neve how've you been doing we hadn't seen you around the Resolute back in the war" "well that's because I was assigned as their General so that's why I wasn't around the Resolute, didn't Anakin or Cody tell you" Anakin face palmed "I forgot to tell them" he admitted "of course you did" Neve muttered "are all of you Mom's friends?" Omega asked "MOM!?" I recoiled with Neve "this is Omega mine and Hunter's adopted daughter" she explained "well it's nice to meet you Omega" Will said before watching her play with Annabelle making both me and Neve smile at them leaning against the wall I felt my head swarm in pain way worse than normal I quickly realised what was wrong "oh no" I said in my head quickly fighting back while the equipment was being set up
(Neve's POV)
I watched the two teams interact with each other getting to know one another while Rex and Anakin with Kix and Melisa finished up getting the medical equipment sorted out and working order "Neve you alright?" Hunter asked me as I looked at him giving him a reassuring smile "yeah I'm fine just thinking about something that happened a long time ago" I said softly "do you want to talk about it?" I shook my head "later love when we get the chip out of your head" I said he gave me a small smile nuzzling my face gently before gripping his head gritting his teeth in both pain and discomfort "Hunter are you okay?" I asked resting my hand on his shoulder "I think the chip is starting to taking over me" he said "you need to take it out now I'll be there with Omega when you wake up" I said guiding him towards Tech "I know you will love, Neve if I end up-" I cut him off with a kiss on the lips "don't I'll cross that bridge when we get to it" I said to him while cupping his face with my hands looking him in his eyes he kissed me back "don't worry Serge this will be over before you know it we just need to administer anaesthesia so you won't feel a thing you'll be fine" I watched Omega and Annabelle interact feeling a smile form on my face when the Force grew cold indicating something was wrong my ears flicked up I quickly looked over to see Hunter grab Tech's arm making him jump in both fright and shock he let out a small gasp my eyes went wide my hand flying to my blaster "Hunter?" I called to him cautiously scared at his sudden change the others quickly noticed looking over too "Dad?" Omega called out in fear and worry Will stopped her from running to them both my fur bristled in fear my ears pulled back "Hunter let Tech go you're starting to scare us now" I said pulling my blaster out slowly when Hunter knocked Tech unconscious grabbing his blaster my ears pulled back as he turned towards us Crosshair jumped him "Hunter stop!" Crosshair said before getting knocked out by him Omega ran to me hugging me tightly "you're in direct violation of Order 66" he growled "Neve" Anakin called taking cover I scooped Omega up into my arms as she clung onto me shaking holding her close "Hunter you're scaring me" I said slowly moving to where the others were standing "GET DOWN!" I yelled out ducking behind cover with the others as Hunter succumbed to the chip's influence protecting Omega as she and Annabelle were screaming in fear I shielded while everyone else argued about what to do "it's gonna be okay, Omega stay with Uncle Echo and Rex, leave him to me" I said "Neve are you crazy!?" Fives asked as I looked at him "Fives you do know you're talking to the girl who has military training and experience in my belt and besides what choice do we have!?" I retorted my hand gripping my blaster tightly before knocking the blaster out of Hunter's hand and into mine using the Force before making a beeline for the door with him following suit I ran through the hallway trying to find something that could trip him up and give the opening to stun him before anyone else gets hurt I stopped running when reaching a hallway junction "guess I got to fight him then" I said to myself as I got into a fighting stance my tail lashed behind me ears pinned back as Hunter lunged at me with swift movements I dodged sliding between his legs on my feet standing where he stood moments before trying to attack me holding my arms up slightly "Hunter snap out of it this isn't you I don't want to hurt you" I said trying to reason with him grabbing my blaster as it was set to stun before letting out a yelp as he pounced on me feeling his hands wrap around my neck trying to strangle me I grabbed his arms trying to pray his hands from my neck as my back hit the ground a strained grunt leaving my throat "shit I forgot he's got a strong grip" I internally cursed to myself kicking my legs out feeling my airway tightly close choking slightly "oh gods this is a turn on, fucking hell Neve focus" I felt my conscious slowly fade "Hunter fight it please" I begged him gasping for air feeling his grip loosen as he fought against his chip I pushed him off getting to my feet before jumping onto him tackling him to the ground roughly sitting on top of him while holding his wrists tightly while pinning him down "Hunter snap outta it this isn't you please I don't want to hurt you" I said reasoning with him while doing my best to stop him from getting up to strangle me again he growled glaring at me I glared and growled back definitely at him before we both wrestled around on the ground getting to my feet quickly as he recovered grabbing his fist quickly blocking his attacks before responding with my own I grabbed his arm after he unsheathed his vibrio-knife the blade cutting my eyebrow feeling a sliver of blood run down my face before twisting his arm painfully until he dropped the knife I threw him over my head and onto the floor before running to where my blaster was going to grab it when he pinned me to the wall "sorry about this Hunter" I brought my legs up kicking off the wall wrapping my leg around his shoulders pulling him to the floor going to grab my blaster to stun him only to be pinned to the floor before I could pick it up clenching my hand into a fist punching Hunter across the face knocking him away and off me before wrapping my arm around his neck tightly forcing him onto the ground on his back pressing the back of his head against my chest his hands grabbed my arm trying to pull it away as he struggled in my hold before going limb after a few minutes eyes shut slipping unconscious letting out a sigh of relief I picked up my blaster putting it back in it's holster on my hip wiping away blood that had ran down my nose, mouth and my face my heart racing in my chest steadying my breathing in order to calm myself down before wrapping Hunter's arms around my shoulders more or less carrying him back to the medical bay Fives helped me get him in as he and Rex got him to the medical equipment to remove his chip I took his bandana off wrapping it around my right arm as Omega came crashing into me hugging me tightly with Annabelle "hey I'm okay girls see I'm fine" "but" "hey I'm stronger than I look" I kept my arms around them "you sure you're okay?" "I'm fine Will really, I'm more worried about Hunter though, more so when he wakes up" I said getting to my feet Melisa started treating the cut on my face "I'm just relieved you're okay Neve" "ha I've been through worse than this Mel" I said biting back a hiss of pain as she cleaned it "aw man I'm starving now" Wrecker groaned "we got some food with us, there's plenty to go around" "Will you didn't need to" "hey we're all in this together so might as well get some food in ya" "thanks Will" "no problem" I took the two sandwiches one for me and one for Hunter when he wakes up I leaned against the wall feeling my energy drain "you look like you could use rest sis" I shook my head "I can't not right now at least my adrenaline's still running high besides I'd rather be awake right now" I said as my brother grabbed my shoulder comfortingly "I know sis but try to rest" I sat down on the chair next to Hunter resting my head against his chest closing my eyes to sleep
(Rex's POV)
I watched as Neve rested next to Hunter resting her head in his chest Omega nestled next to her falling asleep as well laying her head on Hunter's chest as well I smiled at the sight fondly thinking about mine and Anakin's kids we sat in silence eating, resting or keeping watch "so far we're still in the clear" Anakin said after talking with Obi-Wan and Cody the others nodded "well if we weren't we would've handled it if you want some of us can watch the outside of the ship it is rundown and falling apart so there's a lot of exits and entrances to keep track of" Will said getting up into his feet to stretch "thank you Will if you don't mind that is" "no problem, Fig Donnell you both are on first watch" "we're on it" they left to keep watch "can't ever be too careful as Neve always said" "yeah being our second in command a title she earned" I pulled a thermal blanket out from the stuff we brought putting it over Neve, Omega and Hunter to keep the three of them warm "I hope Hunter will be alright after he wakes up" "well he'll be okay but he'll definitely be horrified at what happened" "as long as my sister is with him he'll be fine besides he loves her and Omega with all his heart Rex" "I know but somethings bothering you I can see it" "I can't shake the feeling that something terrible will happen Rex but I shouldn't dwell on the thought" "was it a vision?" I asked "no normally whenever I have one it's also shared with my sister being twins we often have the same vision" "so you both can theoretically sense each other's thoughts and emotions?" Tech asked "well yeah we can also communicate via telepathy just like the rest of our siblings, we don't use it often mostly because we use sign language to communicate with each other" "ah right I see" "also keep your voices low they still need to rest" Anakin said gesturing to Neve and Omega as they both were sleeping "a mother's love is hard to break and mess with a mother's kid and you'll end up dead, same with a father's love you end up in hell" I thought to myself
(Hunter's POV)
I faintly heard voices while waking up each of them concerned feeling a hand on my cheek rubbing my face when feeling a stinging ache "guys give him room he'll be in a panic" I shot up eyes flying open "where's Neve is she okay!?" I asked stressed out and worried about her "I'm here, I'm here Hunter it's okay" she said coming into my sight I pulled her into my arms hugging her tightly I looked at her face seeing faint bruising and the cut from my knife my eyes went to her neck she cupped my face "hey look at me Hunter I'm okay I've had worse things happen to me" "I know but-" "it wasn't your fault it was your Inhibitor chip, I told you you could fight it" she said giving me a smile "shit I'm so sorry Neve I should've fought back harder, I was aware of everything that was happening and I couldn't stop it I ended up hurting you and-" "Hunter stop like I said before it wasn't your fault it's over now what matters now is that you're okay and in control of yourself" she said cupping my face with her hands kissing me on my lips gently pressing her forehead on mine I rested my hand over her's leaning into both her forehead and hand "can I also say you have one hell of a right hook and damn I underestimated you love" I praised with a smile making her laugh at me as Omega threw herself at me hugging me tightly I hugged her back just as tight not letting her go "Omega I'm so sorry you're not hurt are you?" I asked her worried "I'm fine Dad" she replied nuzzling closer "one down four to go" Rex said I got of the table as the rest of the squad got their chips out "they didn't shave all my hair off did they?" I asked Neve making her laugh at me again "no they didn't love besides I would still love you regardless of your baldness" "what's that supposed to mean cyare?" I asked nudging her "hey you started it" she said I kissed her forehead "hold still now Hunter" she unwrapped my bandana from around her arm holding it up to my head wrapping it back round my head tying my bandana back on for me before feeling her hands cup my face again "I'm glad you're back now hon" she said softly "I was so worried about you, I was scared I was going to lose you Hunter" I sighed "I know I'm sorry love I wish I fought back harder against the chip" I hugged her tightly in comfort refusing to let her go "I love you so much Neve" I said "I love you just as much Hunter" she said we both waited for the others to get their chips out Rex and Tech checked Omega for one Kix and Melisa shrugged "Omega is inhibitor chip free I wonder why" "it's best we think about it later Tech" "you are right General oh also I've been meaning to ask this how is Neve your second in command Captain Lennox and what is her rank on Earth?" Tech asked "not gonna lie we're kinda curious about that" I said she sighed at us "well for starters call me Will there's no need for that guys but to answer the question I chose her to be second in command she's the most trustworthy soldier I know, now as for her military rank well best if you told them yourself Neve" "wait Mom has a different rank than the one she already has?" Omega asked "I have two ranks Omega the one the GAR gave me and the one I have on Earth I had a feeling this would happen Anakin" he laughed at her in response "so then are you a Captain like Will or are you a Lieutenant back on Earth?" I asked her my curiosity mounting "oh that's gonna surprise you big time man cause she's-" "Fig I will kick your ass in a minute of you don't shut it" she barked out angrily at him as he shimmied away before looking to me "well funnily enough back on Earth I'm actually a Sergeant the same rank as you Hunter" she said we stared at her for a bit before speaking to her again "ah cool" I said "holy shit she's the same rank as me" I said to myself "are you guys going to come back with us to Earth it will be far safer there than whatever Cid has you doing for her" "I think it's for the best right Neve" "yeah least Omega gets to meet her Uncles and Aunts" "we have that debt to pay off though" Tech piped up once the others had gotten their chips out "leave it to Padme she'll sort it out" "how is Padme doing?" Neve asked "oh she's doing fine both her and Notch have been keeping the entire Sol System Alliance from falling under Imperial rule, Notch would be glad to see you as well as our other siblings" "I bet well shall we get going then?" Neve asked us with a smile "we shall" I responded with my own smile "well let's go home then" Fig said walking ahead of us Neve sighed we made our way back to the ship being cautious to avoid the Scrappers guild after being made aware they were around "get down" Cody called out we all ducked for cover as one of the Scrapper's guilds members walked past but was quickly taken out by Will and Neve "let's go before they realise" I scooped Omega up into my arms given that she's tired as we walked back to the Marauder "we'll see you guys on Earth" we all got into our respective ships quickly leaving Braca "are we going to stay on Earth?" Omega asked "that we are" I said sitting down next to Neve as Tech started up the ship "do we need to go back to Ord Mental for anything?" Neve asked "nah I packed everything back in the Marauder so we have nothing to go back for" Fives said "Tech set course for Earth we'll follow the others" "can't wait to see my siblings again" "do they know about the Inhibitor chips?" I asked "yes Hunter you know my family loves you and the squad besides they know you would never hurt me" "except when we spar and when we'll ya know and not to mention what happened today" I pointed out as she gave me a look "as I was saying before you decided to interrupt me they trust you Hunter" "I know but still" "it won't go away and you feel guilty I know but it's over now and all you can do is move forward right?" I rested my forehead on hers sighing through my nose "yeah you're right love" I answered pulling her closer to me with a smile on my face before kissing her lips gently she wrapped her arms around me "Hunter I'm okay it wasn't you fault hon" "feels like it is" I mumbled into her "it's okay" she whispered I held her close to me not letting her go "I'm sorry" I whimpered into her she held my face with both her hands giving me a kiss
