Jeremy, Brer Fox and Brer Bear were searching for the treasure by the Slippin' Falls.

"I can't believe we're on a real treasure hunt" said Jeremy.

"And yet, still no jackets" said Brer Bear.

"So, Brer Fox. Have you ever noticed anything particularly odd about the Slipping Falls?" said Jeremy.

"Only dat Brer Bear nevah gets his mail o' drinks his milk" said Brer Fox.

Then he looked at a rock with a big X carved in it.

"Hey! Diss rock has an X on it. What's it mean?" said Brer Fox.

"Maybe... X marks the spot! Brer Bear, hurry!" said Jeremy.

Brer Bear ran over panting, "There's way too much runnin' in trezhuh huntin'."

Jeremy lifted the rock and started fishing in the hole under it.

"Anything?" said Brer Bear.

"Patience. Speck of dirt... tree root... what I hope is a tree root... a-ha! A viking amulet! And a note!" said Jeremy.

The note said...

If you want to be rich from viking loot

Climb the place where people salute

When you reach the top, you're on your way

Hold up this amulet at last light of day

"Now what could dat mean?" said Brer Fox.

"Hmm. De main symbol o' Splash Mountain is Chick-a-Pin Hill" said Brer Bear.

"Brilliant! So we climb to the top of Chick-a-Pin Hill, hold the amulet up to the sun, and it'll show us where the treasure is" said Jeremy.

"We's gonna be rich!" said Brer Bear.

"Yes; you can get your jacket" said Jeremy.

"Forget dat. I's gettin' a convertible. So my bear fur can flow free in de wind" said Brer Bear.

"You is hangin' by a very slender thread" said Brer Fox.
