"You in this predicament now cause you don't listen" Ray said eyeing me and I felt like a kid getting in trouble
"I'm hungry" I said adjusting myself on my crutches
I hate everything about this and I'm ready for these few weeks to be over with.
"I'm right here" she said and I just looked, "You acting like I'm not here"
"I just don't wanna keep asking you to do stuff for me" I confessed before she shrugged her shoulders
"You ain't bothering me, go sit down" she semi yelled and I felt my heart began to cry a little
I'm not a sensitive person at all, but with Ray I am.
"Don't yell at me — hirió mi sentimientos"
"I ain't mean to yell, it's just that I told you to sit down two times already. It's frustrating cause I'm tryna help you and you won't let me"
"Okay, I'm sorry"
"Don't apologize, I just don't want you to hurt yourself even more"
I went back to her room and got in the bed before sitting the crutches to the side. I propped my leg up on a pillow and laid back.
After a while she came in the room with the plate I was getting ready to warm up.
"What you wanna drink?" she asked before I shrugged, "you mad at me?"
"No" I said as she handed me the plate
"Princess"
"I'm not mad at you" I confirmed again because if I don't she won't let it go, "I'm okay"
"I'm just making sure cause I don't want you mad at me. I'm just gone bring you water"
She left back out and eventually came back with a glass of water. After handing it to me she got in the bed beside me
"Stop staring at me, you know that shit makes me nervous" I said before taking a bite out of my pizza
"You look beautiful as always"
"Thank you, bebé" I thanked her as I pulled lint from her hair, "I wanted to talk to you about something because I want to hear how you feel"
"Alright I'm all ears"
"I don't want you to think my mom is an ass hole. She's just over protective when it comes to me" I said referring to the way she acted at the hospital
"I wasn't gone say nothing, but she was kind of rude" she said being honest and I nodded agreeing
When Ray came back in the room my mom was very disrespectful to her. I was embarrassed because I've never seen her act that way before.
I was even more embarrassed because I'm a reflection of her. I hope Ray don't think I'm putting on an act and I'm really a rude ass bitch.
I apologized to Ray over and over again because I truly feel bad.
"That's why I kept saying I'm sorry, she don't act like that to people"
"So what I did?"
"She thinks I'm using you as a distraction until I'm fully healed. She's mad at me and she think you a duplicate of my ex"
"Damn"
"I know I'm sorry and — please don't be mad at me when I tell you this. I saw my ex a few weeks ago —" she cut me off and my heart began to beat fast
"What you mean you saw her?"
"She chased me down in the parking lot and was trying to talk to me. I didn't do nothing with her if that's what you think"
"So what happened?"
"She was trying to get me to be cordial and I obviously didn't want to. I was so caught off guard and upset I cut my errands short and came home"
"Why would you think I would be mad though?"
"Because I didn't tell you when it happened, I thought that was just something you should know" I said and she nodded
"Yeah of course I would want to know if you interacted with any of your ex's. As long you being loyal to me I'm straight, princess. I'm not saying it's okay to talk to your ex because I don't want you talking to nobody you dealt with"
Our conversation got deeper the more we talked. I love everything about our relationship. Eventually I finished eating and we both went to sleep.
Ever since I broke my foot sleeping has been the only thing that I could do. Of course I pack orders for my businesses, but other than that I'm sleep.
Someone has to physically go ship out my orders for me because I'm not able to. I've never wanted to be outside so bad.
I woke up to Ray's phone ringing, but she was still sleep. Picking up the phone I looked at the caller ID that read 'Plug'
"Bebé" I shook her before she popped up quick scaring me a little, "your phone"
She read the caller ID before mumbling something and getting up. She left out and came back in two minutes later.
"I'm finna go down the street to meet up with somebody. You need anything before I leave out?"
"No, but who are you meeting with?"
"One of my friends, you need something from the store?" She asked and I shook my head 'no' a bit confused
"No"
"Okay I'll be back in ten — fifteen minutes" she said and I didn't respond, I just allowed her to leave
I'll ask the same question when she bring her ass back. I turned over and shut my eyes dozing off again.
