A violent knocking at the front door of Lockwood & Co had put Lucy on edge that day. She hadn't heard such a sound at their door since that relic man came into their house and died in their front room. So, expectedly, Lucy was very cautious when she went to the front door and peaked out of the peephole. It was a girl. About their age. She had deep golden skin and soft curls that were tied up tight in a ponytail at the back of her head. And man did she look pissed.
Lucy opened the door with a stony face, "Can I help you?"
"Is this Lockwood & Co?" the girl asked, her accent was thick and foreign, but also mixed with a traditional English accent.
"Yes. This is Lockwood & Co," Lucy confirmed.
The short girl shoved her way past Lucy, stomping into the house and stopping just below the stairs, "Violet Summers, I know you're here! I saw the press conference your idiot boss made about you and your little friend here! Get your ass down here now!"
Lucy was appalled as this small Indian girl had just come right into their home and started making demands, "Excuse me, you can't-"
The girl turned, putting her hand up, "This has nothing to do with you, whatever your name is. I'm here to talk to Violet."
George slowly peaked out of the living room, sharing a heavily confused and uncomfortable look with Lucy. They had no idea who this girl was. But she obviously knew Violet.
Violet, who had been upstairs in the library with Lockwood, was completely frozen. She knew exactly who had just shown up and she did not want to see the face associated with that voice.
Lockwood looked at her, "Did you happen to invite someone over that I don't know about?"
"Uh...well, I didn't invite them. But I know them. I should go down there before she starts trashing your house," Violet jumped out of her seat, dropping her book and walking out.
Lockwood followed just behind her, "So who is it then?"
"Violet!" the girl yelled out again.
"I'm coming! Just shut the fuck up already! God fucking damn! Can't even give me some own peace and quiet in my own fucking home!" Violet screamed back as she went down the stairs to meet the girl.
When Violet finally got down the stairs, she saw the girl she had never thought she would see again standing right in front of her with her arms crossed and her expression angry.
"What?! What do you want?!" Violet asked, annoyed.
The girl walked right up to Violet and poked a finger in her direction, "Drop out."
Violet rose a brow, "Excuse me? You're gonna have to be more specific, Angie."
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. You and your stupid little kiddie agency better drop out of the Jones job now."
Lockwood stood right behind Violet and scoffed, "We're not dropping out of anything. Who are you to come into my house and tell me what to do with my agency?"
The girl looked him up and down in disgust, "I wasn't talking to you, asshole. I'm talking to Violet. So stay out of it."
Violet rolled her eyes, "Well, all the same, I second his words. We aren't dropping anything."
"You owe me, Summers. Remember?" the girl claimed.
Violet's expression dropped to a cold one as she took a step forward, "I owe you? For what? I've done enough for you, Angela. Remember that."
