Marilyn POV

I tie May's hair and the handkerchief with her blood to the paper doll. I don't know if this is the right decision, something in me tells me this is a mistake. Should I find a different werewolf? Should I stop my revenge? Should I wait?

'What could go wrong? She still mines after all'

I use salt to draw a magic circle, then I place a silver bowl with the paper doll inside in the middle.

'Now is the incantation, and then she is yours!'

I speak out loud every word in the book. Regret in me grows bigger as I speak. I don't think I want to continue.

'Burn the doll and it's done. Just burn the doll and this will be done'

My hands hold the lighter trembling. I don't want to do this. How can face her after this?

'This fucking mate thing is killing me! Just fucking burn the fucking doll!'

And so, I burn it, I watch as the doll slowly turns to ashes. Her hair. Her blood. Her freedom. All turns to ashes.

"Ahh!"

Suddenly, I feel something burn in my heart, the pain is unbearable, it's like something is carved into my heart.

'What did I do wrong?'

I fall to the floor, my body feels so cold and painful.

Everything is darker and darker.

The cold drown me.

Just like when my ship sank.

Your POV

I was reading the book my father gave me when I felt something. Someone try to curse me.

"Who could be that stupid?" I talk to myself.

"What's wrong?" Enid asks.

I am in Enid's room because Yoko has some "activities" with her girl so tonight I have to sleep in Enid's dorm. She was the only one in this room anyway.

"Someone trying to curse me. I wonder who has that gut in this school!" I shrug.

"Do you know what kind of curse?" she turns back to her nails that are painting.

"Slavery"

"Maybe that's miss Thornhill, I think she wants to do some naughty stuff with you!" Enid joke.

"Very funny, pup!"

'But that is still possible though. It's only 8 pm, I can just pass by and check her!'

"I'm going to check on her" I close my book.

"Oh, Alpha go get her. Fighting!" she yells.

I quickly go to her room, I'm about to knock on her door when I smell ashes and salt.

I immediately come in, her body lying on the floor next to a magic circle drawn by salt.

"Mary? Mary, what happened?"

I shake her but her eyes still close, her body so cold and cover with sweat.

"Mary wake up!" I cry.

My eyes meet a strange book on the floor, still open. It's a dark magic book. I take a look and see the Slavery Curse.

"After the curse is successfully placed on the victim, they may have a bad fever but it will be gone soon after a few hours"

'She really the one who curses me!'

I read it again to find a way to break the curse.

"To break the curse, place the victim in the magic circle, place the master blood on the victim's chest and speak loudly the incantation "[Line wrote in Spanish]""

I do as it says, place Marylin in the salt circle and drop my blood on her chest, then I speak the line. I don't care why she curses, she is my mate anyway. I can't let her go no matter what.

As soon as the curse is broken, Marilyn awakes, she looks around confused and scared, especially when she sees me.

"Mary, how do you feel now?" I hug her, her body is still cold.

"I... i... Why are you here?" she pushes me away.

"You curse me, the curse backfires... I broke it, don't worry about it. Tell me how you feel now!" I caress her face.

"Y... you not mad?" she sobs in my arm.

"No no no. I'm not mad, don't cry. Don't cry ok? I got you now!" I kiss her forehead.

I pick her up, put her on the bed, and tuck her under the blanket as I lie beside her.

"It's alright, Mary! Do you want to tell me the reason?"

She buries her face in my chest, I hug her tightly. After a few minutes, she has come down and looked up at me.

"M... my name is n... not Mary!"

"Of course, Marilyn it is" I smile while gently tucking her hair.

"No, Marilyn Thornhill is not my name. It is Laurel Gates"

"So you want me to call you Laurel?"

"No, call me Marilyn or Mary as you always do. Marilyn Thornhill is your mate, Laurel Gates only wants to use you to kill all the outcasts in this school. Laurel dead!" she avoids my gaze.

"Why did Laurel die?" I move closer to her face.

"Marylin falls for her victim, so she kills Laurel. Marilyn is weak"

"No, Marylin is brave. She is my mate, and I shall protect her, forgive her mistake and love her with my whole heart"

"I curse you!"

"And here I am, broke the curse and holding you! You didn't harm anyone, you innocent!"

I hold her, hush her to sleep, we have a tiring day, a good sleep next to each other is all I need now.

Sheriff Galpin POV

Tonight is supposed to be a peaceful night to spend with my son, I want to talk to him about his coming out last week. My job is tough these days since out of nowhere a murderer appears and kills 2 people this week.

When I'm about to knock on my son's door to talk to him, my phone ring. It freaking 10 pm, no way they just going to tell me that there another murder in town.

"Hello?"

"Sheriff, another body found, freshly killed" my partner says.

"Seriously? Where?"

"The forest near the town, I'll send you GPS, come quick!"

The third case in the week, I swear if it were those freaks in Nevermore, I would kill them myself.

"What's wrong honey? Another case?" my wife's hand is placed on my shoulder, her voice always calms me down.

"Yes dear, I'm sorry. Can you talk with Tyler for me? He mad at me for days!"

"You have to tell him yourself, honey. Maybe tomorrow, now go, there's a case waiting for you!"

"Goodnight dear!"

"Take care!"
