Your POV
"This not the first time you go to Harvest Festival in Jericho huh?"
This is so cool, if my pants have a hole for my tail then it would wagging fast enough to lift me up in the air. Holding hands with my mate and impressing her with my skill at those punching machines, this is so exciting.
"Not my first, but I also don't remember much. My brother only bring me here once because he want to show his crush how good he was being a brother. Failed as far as I recall!" she says flatly.
"Then I'll make you enjoy it fully... in many meaning!" I whisper at those last words.
"I hear that, you naughty wolf! Wanting mommy already, huh?" she hugs my arm, pressing it between her breast.
'Shit!'
And so we go around and play a few games, mostly me playing. And of course, being an almighty Alpha, I win a lot of goods, I fill the back of her car with those stuffed animals within an hour.
"We should get something to eat and rest, it's not like we going to end our date night after this!" she winks at me.
"Oh yes, mommy! I like that!"
I buy her a donut and her favorite matcha latte as we sit somewhere not far from my aunt... and her little Frump. She looks like she is watching over a criminal instead of going out and having a fun date with her girl. Oh, the Frump girl looks like she got a new haircut, her hair is just long enough to tie up. That looks kinda cool, maybe I would cut my hair like that later.
"I didn't know Xavier is gay!" Marilyn says as she points at Tyler and Xavier holding hands while Tyler's father tells them something.
"He was in the closet for a while. Last year he dated Bianca, then he met Tyler, that boy, and he come out at the beginning of this semester to her. They are still friends actually!"
"Lucky him, at least he knows his sexuality so soon, unlike me realize I'm a lesbian at 39!" she looks down at her latte.
"So what? When I mark you, your life would expand as our souls are bonded by fate. You will be stuck with me for at least another 200 or 300 years!" I kiss her forehead.
"And your parents, will they accept me?" she furrows.
"Why not? You're my mate, even if they don't then what? I would be a lone wolf and probably going insane without you to ease my Alpha!"
"Or you find another!" she sips her latte, her eyes dropping to the floor.
'Your mate is insecure. Tell her something you idiot dog!'
"I can't find another one. One werewolf can only have one mate at a time, to a normal werewolf, a mate is not really important, but to an Alpha, a mate is chosen for them by fate, their mate is the only one that can calm them. An Alpha without their mate will slowly go insane or become a normie. My uncle is rejected by his mate, and now he is a normie, a mad normie whose life will be spent in an asylum! Never say such thing again, Mary. My parents will accept you no matter if they like it or not!" I held her close to me, rubbing her back to make her more comfortable.
"Then you better be interested enough for me to stay by your side!" she smirk.
"In bed or off bed?"
"Naughty wolf!"
From afar, I see Tyler and Xavier approach Wednesday while she playing darts. I look back at Larissa, she looks like busying busy chatting with her maiden.
"Stay here or go play anything you want, Mary. I think Wednesday is going to cause trouble again!" I stand up.
"Better make it up for mommy later, wolf!" she glances seductively at me, my knee is weak toward that gaze.
I run after Wednesday to the parking lot but she and the boys run back to the crowd, I can see the three normie boys with their bats chasing them.
'Trouble will find you no matter where you go. Shit that song is haunting me again!'
My legs shifted a little into my wolf form and I quickly catch up with those normies. I give them a glare and all three back up. I look again for Wednesday but lost her. Hopefully that I am an Alpha so my nose is more sensitive to scents.
'Wait! That scent!'
The scent of that mysterious intruder in Nevermore, they are here in the woods. I run in that direction and see Tyler and Xavier standing outside puzzling.
"Where Wednesday?" I ask.
"She chasing Rowan. A minute before that she passed out just like that day after fencing class!" Xavier point to the forest.
"Inform Larissa, I'll find her!"
I wolf out and follow her, because I'm only half werewolf so my wolf form is only a few inches taller and the fur is not cover my body fully, my ear erect to catch every sound that the intruder may create, my claws also are out, ready for any fight.
Out of the blue, a terrible strong smell attack my nose, it even worse than the shrimp paste or durians that I saw in Texas. I groan as the smell keeps getting stronger and a weird sound also appears, my ears hurt like hell.
"Fucking fuck!" I cry, trying to cover my ears.
My body wants to fall down but I keep standing and running forward. When I see Wednesday, she falls down from the tree, and Rowan... the poor Rowan scream his heart out when a hideous monster attacks him. I throw myself at the monster but it swings its arm and throws me on Wednesday. Luckily, I use my magic to change the direction and my body hit the earth painfully, unfortunately.
The ear-bleeding sound stop, the monster grabs Rowan's body and runs away, so fast I can't react. I try to pick up its scent but that horrible smell blinds my nose.
"You ok Wednesday?" I stand up but fail, my legs are pretty much bruised and my back is almost, almost breaking in half.
"Very much"
