Marilyn POV

Thomas changed the plan because of me, he wanted to finish the ceremony tonight. That's why I'm here in the greenhouse, preparing some syringes of Nightshade poisoning for that. There actually not very hard work for me since May has already made them, I only need to put them in the containment and bring it to Thomas. The poison is not needed in the ceremony but Thomas said that it will be used later. I don't know what he meant by that.

"I thought you'd be halfway to New Jersey by now"

"You can drop the act, Laurel. I should have known it was you. Faking your death, securing a job at Nevermore, controlling an Alpha. Typically, I have great admiration for well-executed revenge plots. But yours was a bit extreme, even for my high standards"

"Oh, dear. Don't tell me you're here to have revenge on me for expelling you. Weems was right. You do need psychiatric help. Can't throw out wild accusations without consequences" I move the tray of Nightshade extracts away.

"They may be wild... but they're true. May has told me everything"

From a distance, I can see May slowly step forward, she didn't look at me. Instead, she locked her gaze on Wednesday.

"May? Tell her!" she looked away, avoiding me. My heart literally broke into thousand pieces. Why is she acting like that?

"You used her. You force her to work for you because you know how powerful she is" Wednesday continued her speech of torture, I wish I could just slit her throat.

"Shut up!" I take off my glasses "Yes, I am Laurel Gates. So what? I already told May about it and she was totally chill about it. She loved me for who I am! She chose to be with me, I didn't have to use anything on her" I turn to May "May, dear, make mommy happy and shut her up... permanently"

"She's not on your side"

"No, she's not on your side. My lovely May will do anything for me" I shove her away and go to May's side "Do you see this" I show her the ring she gave me at Weathevance, her proposal to me "You told me that you will give me everything you have. You told me you will be my slave. I am yours and you are mine! Remember? I only have you, dear! Don't let them take away my only love! Don't let them take you away from me!"

"If you only hate outcasts, why is she killing normies as well?" Wednesday said flatly as if nothing mattered. I hate that from her!

"My girl is not a monster, I will never force her to murder people! She is my mate, not a puppet!" her gaze shifted "If you realize now, I sent the Shapeshifter to intercept you, not May!"

"I never made it to the station" the girl gave May a weird look "Heard enough?"

I look back at where May used to stand, only that there is no May, just the Principle.

"Your monster is probably still at the station"

'She tricked me! So she wasn't did anything to my girl. Thank goodness!'

"My niece is so naive to believe you! I'm glad she didn't mark you, Marilyn!" she said bitterly.

Every single word that got out of her mouth made my blood boil. Why everybody doesn't want me to be happy with my girl? Why are they want to separate me from her?

"Shut the fuck up!" I take the syringe of Nightshade poisoning out of my pocket and stab her in the neck with it.

Lucky for me, after Thomas broke my father's protection charm, I placed the best protection charm that I could perform on myself, that's why I'm not affected by Marylin's curse.

Unlucky for me, I can't do the same for my mate, I didn't notice her change in behavior. I'm such a horrible Alpha, I can't even protect my own freaking mate.

All I can do for her now is make sure she won't become his next victim.

That sick bastard!

I will break every single bone inside him!

Now I'm heading to the Nightshade's library, I must inform them about what Thomas is up to, I have to move everyone in Nevermore out of the school. It's not safe for them anymore.

When I arrive, everyone was already here, even Enid is in here.

"May!" Enid run to me, her eyes filled with tears "M... Laurel Gates, she killed Principle Weems, s... she even got Wednesday!"

"What?"

"Laurel... she brought Wednesday to Crackstone's crypt, she wants to destroy this school, we have to get everyone in the school to safety before it's too late" she show me the painting of Wednesday and Crackstone in the quad while fire surround them.

"Okay" I take a deep breath to calm myself down "You guys take everyone out, use your Siren power, pull the fire alarm, anything that works. I'll go to the crypt with Enid!"

"What? That's too dangerous! I'll come with you!" Bianca raised her voice.

"No, too many people will trigger them. Enid and I shall go. I'm the Alpha, I'll handle it!"

I, Enid and Thing run as fast as we could to the crypt, but when we were halfway there, Enid suddenly fell down. I hear her bones cracking, her body started getting bigger and bigger, fur covering her body, her scent change. The scent of a powerful Alpha.
