Marilyn POV

I take May back to her room, hold her tight while we lie on her bed. Her face was buried in my chest, she cried and apologized, I don't know what to say because I'm also outraged about it. That woman almost steals my May. That woman raped my girl.

"I'm sorry!" May sobbed.

"What did I tell you? It's not your fault dear!" I kiss her forehead.

"B... but I almost... almost mark her!"

"But you didn't. Rosemary is responsible for this, not you love!" I coo, holding her tighter.

Even when I have given up my intention to harm the outcast and my hatred for them, there's still something in me that holds me back. I can't truly love her. I can't be with her. Something in me keeps telling me that I shouldn't love her. I'm not fit to be her mate. Rosemary is a vampire, she might be a bitch but I can't deny the fact that she's actually suitable for May. I'm just a normie, how can I dare to be an Alpha werewolf's mate. She deserves more than this old woman. Deserve someone like... like Yoko or Enid... or Bianca, they're younger, stronger, more beautiful than me.

'Those disgusting monsters shouldn't have existed! They are no more than filthy animals! Slaves to our humankind!' my father's voice rang in my head. I don't think he's right, but he might be right about one thing.

I shouldn't be with an outcast, ever.

Your POV

I still can't believe I was cursed by Mrs. Thompson, I thought she was a kind and caring doctor, she was always nice to me since my first year in Nevermore. Never in my life had I imagined that one day there a person dare to use that spell to become my mate.

I close my eyes, I'm so exhausted. I didn't sleep for the whole night, my body is so sore, especially my legs and hip. Lying on top of my real mate, I slowly fall asleep. Her breathing sounds like a lullaby, singing me to peaceful dreams.

I did have a dream actually. It's short but I remember it very clearly.

My Marilyn wearing the most beautiful white dress ever, she held my hands as the priest spoke the vow, my family, my friends and my whole pack were also there, they watched us.

Our wedding.

The happiest moment in my life.

"My dear, wake up! May, wake up! We have to go to the Principle office now!" Marilyn softly woke me up.

I get up and see my father looking at us at the door, my face quickly heating up.

'He caught us!'

"Hurry up, May! Lari and Tonya waiting!" he smiled at us and left.

I compose myself and straighten my clothes. Marilyn also gets up, her hair is quite a mess so I take my brush and help her. My lovely Mary is irreplaceable, no matter who is my mate, she's still the only one that my heart yearns for.

We arrive at the office 10 minutes later, Mrs. Brushel signals us to sit on the opposite seats to the Principle table and next to my aunt. My father is not in the room with us.

"Mrs. Thompson is handed to the police, she will be brought to a special prison for outcasts. Miss Marshall, you don't need to worry about her, Nevermore will handle this" Mrs. Brushel calmly stated "But we still need to talk about your relationship with Miss Thornhill. The rumors about you two are very unnoticeable. Do you have anything to say about it?"

"We are n..." I know Marilyn will try to brush it off, but I don't want to hide the fact that she is my mate, so I cut her off.

"She's my mate. We are so close because she is my mate. I sometimes sneak into her room so we can talk and understand each other" Mrs. Brushel raises her brow in suspicion "We didn't have sex but I do sleep with her in the same bed. I plan to mark her when I turn 18"

"And how can I know that you say the truth?" she asked.

"I can guarantee that she says the truth, I do believe that you know how important a mate is to an Alpha like her. Physical touch with her mate is required to help my niece control her emotion as she is now at the age that her inner wolf has grown stronger and more unstable!" Larissa said.

Mrs. Brushel thinks for a moment before she speaks again "I believe you Miss Weems, but it's not convincing enough!"

"How do you want us to prove to you, Mrs. Brushel?" Marilyn glared at her.

'That my mate!'

"Well... Ok, I will let this slide, but you two should keep distant, other members of the board will not be as merciful as I am. The rumors may ruin the good image that we have tried so hard to build, if that happens, you know what will come!" she warned us one last time and left.

"Thank you, aunty!" I turn to Larissa, she stands up and pours herself some tea.

"It's nothing. By the way, the dark mic book is taken away from Wednesday, I've sent it back to the Addams. The book is too dangerous to be held by her"

I nod and since there was no reason to stay anymore, I and Marilyn left, giving my aunt some space to think about her lovely psychic.

I get back to my room and Marilyn back to hers, we really should be more careful, rumors may not affect me much but they will properly bother her.

I come to my desk, there are still some assignments that I have to finish, my math teacher will skin me if I return it late again.

??? POV

"Can you believe it, our precious Laurel Gates is in love with the Alpha! Isn't that cute?"

"..."

"She might face some disapproval from other outcasts, we should help her. But first, let's break that annoying protection charm!"

"..."

"Joseph Crackstone would be so proud, his descendants not only make a Shapeshifter their slave but also an Alpha werewolf! Can't wait to see his face when he sees us!"
