High School DxD: Reborn Once Again

Chapter 12

Issei looks at the unknown woman which she called his name. The woman began to approach him then it appears with twin blonde twirls which was Ravel.

Issei looks looks at her, he sense in her eyes were dead.

Ravel began to speak while getting close to Issei, "Where were you? You promised you return. Didn't you like my cake at all?"

Issei was getting scared because of her psychotic nature. Also he remembered a similar girl in his dreams that had similar features but had light in her eyes but his dreams were hazy.

Issei started to speak to his friend, "Driag she is scary. What she has to do with me?"

Driag only responded, "Run."

Issei immediately turned around and began to run as fast as possible.

Meanwhile Ravel was about to chase down Issei but was stopped by a hand on her shoulder. She looked what behind her which was her big brother.

Riser spoke, "I was looking for you. You got me worried. Why are you here in the human world?"

Ravel only responded one word, "Issei."

Riser only frown and spoke, "Lets go. Issei is no longer with us."

Ravel was motionless and Riser made a magic circle and traveled back home.

Issei ran for couple of minutes and stop to breathe air to his lungs.

Issei asked Driag, "Why run?"

Driag responded, "That woman's mind is unstable. She met my past host which most likely had a interest of my host. When my host died probably it had a effect on her. Since you look alike my past host it caused her to think that you were my past host." 

"Oh I see. I guess your host had a big impact with the supernatural." Issei spoke with a bit of realization.

"Yes he did. He made enemies, friends, and potential lovers. After all this his potential lovers and friends turned against him except a group which was Rias, Sona and her peerage and now the woman which her name is Ravel." Driag explained.

Issei looked at the dark sky which stars started to shine and asked Driag, "Why do I have to deal the aftermath of your host? Can't I be left at peace? The traitors are after me cause of my title and broken hearts that can't be repaired that your past host left behind. Just why?"

Driag didn't spoke a word and he knew that Issei started to get desperate for answers. Driag knew Issei started to mature with words and emotions. Driag hoped that Issei wouldn't blame himself of his past host's impact . 

Issei returned home where Rias was in the living room chatting with Naomi concerning about the past Issei.

Issei spoke, "I'm home." 

Rias spoke with a smile, "Welcome home I was about to get worried about you."

"Sorry I was chatting with Driag a while ago."

Naomi looks at Issei giving a small glare at him. Issei was still sorry for Naomi due to her situation.

Naomi spoke, "I hope you are able to deal with these people that are after me."

Rias look at Naomi with a anger expression that Naomi is still mad at Issei. Issei didn't respond to her comment. He went to his room to clean himself before going to eat dinner. At the dinner table no one said a word for the entire night. 

After for couple of hours Issei was in his sleep but having his hazy dreams of a past life like if it was his own. Outside of his bed a orange magic circle appeared which came out a person. It approach Issei.

Issei in his sleep felt a disturbance in his room and he wok up. Slowly opening his eyes, Issei notice a figure in front of him. Immediately his eyes went wide open which he saw scared him. It was Ravel that on top of him looking at his eyes. 

Issei spawned his boosted gear threw a punch at her but once reaching to her, Issei pushed Ravel hard out of his bed. Ravel hit the wall on her back but didn't had a hint of pain or surprise. 

Issei yelled, "What are you doing in my room?!"

Issei's yell caused Rias and Naomi to wake up and alerted with the sudden shout. They ran towards Issei's room. Naomi without thinking had her gear out ready to fight anyone that was Issei's room. When they bust in the room they got a surprise a woman on the floor looking at Issei.

Naomi immediately rushed towards the woman and grabbed her neck pinning her to the wall.

Naomi shouted, "How the hell you got in Issei's room?! You dare to hurt him?!"

Ravel was silent for a moment and spoke, "Issei. It's really him." 

Naomi was about to beat her but Rias spoke, "Ravel? I never thought seeing you again."

Ravel raise her gaze and saw Rias. The last thing that Ravel remembered that Issei and Rias were alone together before Issei was gone.

Ravel was filled in rage that her phenex wings came out in flames and shouted, "You took away my Issei from me! You let him die! I loved him!"

Ravel freed herself from Naomi grasp and charged at Rias but Issei went in front Rias to protect her from harm. Issei pulled back his arm for punch range once Ravel saw this she stopped herself in front of Issei.

Ravel spoke with a breaking tone, "Why?... Issei. Why are... you protecting her? You died."

Driag spoke to Issei, "She is having a emotional breakdown."

Naomi watched the situation unfold how Issei would respond.

Issei spoke, "I don't know who you are, but I'll protect Rias at any cost. Please don't make me hurt you. I may look like Issei but I'm not him. Issei wouldn't like to see you like this. If you care about him please move on for him."

Issei's words seems to make a impact on Ravel. Ravel dropped to her knees and began cry loudly. Issei approach her and gave her a hug while she was letting out her emotions. Rias was also saddened the fact the past Issei would never return and she wondered how much Issei would impacted other people.
