High School DxD: Reborn Once Again

Chapter 14

Issei was in place surrounded by fire. The fire seems to burn him but the fire wasn't hurting him at all. Issei was looking around then a bright flash appeared in front him causing him to cover his eyes. The next moment he saw that like if he was in a real world.

Issei noticed he was in front of a high school and was in front a gate. He noticed a teenager with a spiky brown hair that seems similar to him in appearance. Issei decided to approach the teenager. 

Once Issei got close to the teenager and spoke, "Excuse me."

The teenager seems to not notice him like if Issei was a ghost. Issei saw the teenager was walking towards the school building. Issei began to follow the teenager behind him. Issei decided to go in front of him to see how he looked like. Issei tried to get in front him but was stop by a invisible force like a barrier was in place.  

The teen stop in his tracks and and two guys came up to the teen to talk to him.

Issei wasn't able to comprehend what they are saying like if there bit of pieces of the conversation. 

Issei spoke, "Why I'm seeing this? What the reason?"

Issei followed the teenager everywhere he went including to the classroom, cafeteria, the kendo club, then the old building. 

Issei was looking inside of the building seeing a girl similar to Rias which had joyful emotions. He saw other girls in the building and two other guys.  Issei watched the dream unfold, he noticed they were devils and one angel.

Issei heard familiar voice behind him. "What are your thoughts?" 

Issei looks behind him which saw no one but invisible voice talking to him. 

Issei decided to ask, "Driag. Why am I seeing my dream again but more clearly?"

"You are seeing my past host life before everything unfold. This was a normal day in his days. I don't know either why are you seeing more clearly in your dreams. Almost all these people betrayed my past host. They broke his heart the day he died only Rias was beside him. Another boy wasn't present but he looked at my host as a older brother."  Driag spoke.

Issei dream disappeared then was in front of Driag looking down on him. 

Issei fell on his knees and began to cry and spoke, "I want to stop these nightmares. Every night I sleep I see these faces, and blood on the ground spreading everywhere. Driag couldn't you stop this?"

Driag saw the young boy in distress and spoke, "I tried to stop it but it is impossible to stop it and see these dreams of a tragic death. I'm sorry your young. My host said to me before his death is to not trust them. I promised him vengeance for his killers and the ones who broke him. I want to make them pay, feel the pain with no mercy. Now the biblical factions searching for you and Naomi. I'm sure Vali waiting for you to come out since my rival seems to happy my host died. He knows I'll come back for pay back. Are you willing to defend the few people who were always with Issei who mourn for him?"

"They are heart broken, lives were devastated. If your past host wanted me to do it so I will do it." Issei responded wiping off his tears.

Driag spoke, "Glad to hear."

Then Issei woke up in his bed and he looked at the ceiling. He got out of bed and dress himself. After getting himself dressed he went to the kitchen table where breakfast was served.

Kuroka, Rias, Le Fay, Ravel and Naomi was waiting for him to join them. Issei sat in his big chair he noticed while eating breakfast the girls would glance at him every once a while.

Issei asked Driag, "Why they are looking at me?"

"Well it's because you resemble my past host." Driag responded.

"Yeah." Issei spoke with nothing to say.

After breakfast Issei headed to school while the women stayed behind. As always Issei was the outcast of the school which the people didn't notice him.

Issei would have a conversation with Driag in his head about his past host. Driag would tell the adventures about his friend. Issei would cringe the things his past host did perverted things to get stronger. Driag would laugh at it which Issei would followed.

Driag spoke, "You are my second host to see me as your friend."

"Thanks Driag. I won't disappoint you like your past host from being a pervert." Issei spoke with a smile.

Driag chuckled, "Well he did give me truma now you are like healing it with your innocence."

Issei began to do school work and after school he would train with Sona with her peerage. He was able to take on the group with a bit of difficulty because his low stamina still a kid.

After training Issei was sitting in a room with Sona in her desk doing paperwork. Issei was drinking bottles of water.

Sona spoke, "I wonder your gear still have Ascalon."

Issei looks at Sona confused and said, "Huh? Ascalon?"

"Ascalon is weapon that used to be from the heaven but was given as a gift to Issei. It is effective against dragon which Issei merge with the gear. So I don't know it still there." Sona gave a explanation.

Issei spoke, "Oh. Well time for me to back home. Bye Sensei."

Sona spoke, "Be careful."

Issei headed out of school heading home.
