High School DxD: Reborn Once Again

Chapter 20

Baraqiel returned to the underworld and told them what happened exactly has Issei told him.  He didn't  mention it was Issei  himself. The reaction of the four maous wasn't good.

Sirzerks power rose causing destruction around him. He was angry that the red dragon Emperor was no longer a kid but an adult that they couldn't deal the problem. The other Maous were having second thoughts about killing Issei but there no going back.

Baraqiel left them to their own thoughts. He went back home to Gregory and he was tired of the drama and politics. He wanted to kill Azazel with his own hands but didn't had the gut to do it since they were good friends.

Baraqiel was in his room sitting on his bed in deep thought. He knew became a traitor from keeping secrets. Has he was contemplating he started to think of Gasper that is rampaging in the underworld. As far he knows he looked up at Issei.

Flashback

After the day Issei died, Baraqiel was shock to hear the news. He wondered how his daughter is suffering. Baraqiel decided to see Akeno since she had a thing for Issei.

Once Baraqiel found his daughter before he could talk to her. He saw Akeno with Vali holding his arm. Akeno was smiling like girl in love. He couldn't understand why Akeno looked happy when Issei died, but he was saddened that Akeno seemed to not care about Issei death.

Then after a few hours Baraqiel received a call from Azazel.

"Hello?" Baraqiel spoke.

"Baraqiel I would need you to meet me at my location." Azazel answered.

Baraqiel was confused he didn't want to do anything but had to go. Once he got to the location he was in front of a room with the four maous with Grafia including Azazel and Michael.

Baraqiel spoke, "What going on?"

"I need you to guard the door." Azazel command.

Baraqiel was confused why he needed to guard the door but he got his answer. Sirzerks broke down the door and rushed in along the others.

Baraqiel saw someone which was Gasper in surprise seeing his apartment break in before he could react his legs were frozen by Grafia powers. Gasper tried to freeze time with his sacred gear but it was no use they were too strong for him.

The leaders got close to Gasper and beat him up to the ground. Baraqiel was shocked to see them to do to a kid. Serafall made chain of magic around Gasper body.

Sirzerks spoke with a cold tone, "Since Rias Gemeory is gone we decided that you are a threat."

"I didn't do anything! Where is Issei and the others?" Gasper cried in tears

They didn't respond to Gasper question and Gasper looks at them. Gasper started to cry loudly.

Sirzerks spoke, "Everyone is fine but Issei is dead."

Gasper looks at them then he spoke in rage, "You killed Issei and you all did!"

Baraqiel wanted to help Gasper but was there nothing he can do. Sirzerks knocked Gasper cold. Then they placed a blindfold on his eyes and transported him in magic circle. Baraqiel couldn't believe what was going on it seems the dxd team is being teared apart.

End of flashback

Baraqiel got out of his thinking state and started to plan how to help Gasper to escape knowing Gasper would rather cause destruction in the underworld. He knew time is running out before Issei would come to cause chaos.

Without thinking twice Baraqiel left Gregory in search of Gasper. Days later he came across destruction and bodies laying on the ground and blood everywhere mostly were soldiers numbering in hundreds. Baraqiel continue his search after a few more days he found what he was looking for.

He saw Gasper sitting outside of the cave with a emotionless face. He flew near towards Gasper but Gasper immediately started to use his sacred gear causing Baraqiel to fall to the ground and was held in place. Gasper had a murderous aura and he was approaching.

Gasper spoke, "You decided to come and kill me. You were there when I knock out. More or less it makes my job easier."

"I'm here to help you escape the underworld." Baraqiel spoke.

Gasper stopped on his tracks and spoke, "Even I leave the underworld they will still hunt me. I rather be here to hunt the leaders. What made you think to help me?" He asked

Baraqiel responded, "There someone you should meet in the human world."

"There no one to meet! I lost my friends, family, even my master is gone! Even Issei is dead!" Gasper shouted in anger.

"Please just once. If you can't find them I'm willing to put my life in the line." Baraqiel spoke.

Gasper was shocked the turn of events but spoke, "Alright. If you are lying to me you will be first in the list."

Gasper let go of Baraqiel and Baraqiel made a magic circle to transport Gasper to the human world. After a few seconds Gasper was gone to the human world. Baraqiel had to leave the area or others will find him.

Gasper opened his eyes and saw the sky light blue. He truly was in the human world but notice he was in a unknown town. The good thing his clothes weren't messy or bloody. He began to walk around the streets in hope to find someone he would recognize.  

Within a few hours Gasper started to change to return to kill Baraqiel but he heard a familiar voice, "Uh hello. Are you Gasper?"

Gasper turned around in shock and couldn't believe he was looking at. It was Rias with red long hair, he knew he couldn't be dreaming.

"R-Rias? I-Is it y-you." Gasper spoke and he was wanting cry.

Rias responded with a smile, "I am. My dear servant. " she spoke with teary eyes.

Gasper quickly jumped Rias and began to hug her tightly and tears was coming out of his eyes. Rias was also crying in joy.

"I thought I was alone." Gasper cried.

Rias spoke in tears, "I'm glad to see you again."

They stood hugging for couple of minutes and let go of each other. 

Gasper asked, "What happened to you?"

Rias spoke, "Listen well what I'm going to tell you."

Rias started to explain what actually happened and Gasper angered and he was right what leaders did. After her story, Gasper began to tell his side what happen with Rias's peerage and the factions what he knew. Rias was deeply hurt that Gasper had to endure the pain and loneliness in a dungeon in prison. 

"Gasper, you should come with me. I bet he'll be happy to see you." Rias spoke.

Gasper was confused who was he but decided to follow his old king. After a few block of walking. Gasper saw a apartment.

Rias opened the door and spoke, "Come on in."

Gasper was nervous but entered nevertheless.

Rias spoke in the apartment, "Hey Issei you need see someone." She spoke with happy tone.

Gasper couldn't believe what he was hearing but then he shocked to see. Issei came out with a small smile but then he saw Gasper

Both of them were frozen in place.

Issei was first to speak, "Nice to see you again Gasper."

Gasper walk towards Issei then he hugged Issei tightly.

Gasper spoke, "I thought you were gone."

Issei start to pat Gasper head and spoke, "I was but I came back from the dead. I was reborn. I'm glad one of my friends still misses me."

Rias was glad that her ex peerage are meeting each other again. After their hug Issei began to explain his story the day was reborn till he remembered who he was. Gasper was surprised that Issei was always with Rias that he care so much.

Kuroka, Le Fay, Naomi, and Ravel meet Gasper which he was glad to see old faces. They chatted away throughout the day till night.

Meanwhile Baraqiel was back at Gregory pretending that nothing has happened. He was looking a picture of his dead wife.

He spoke, "I'm sorry for our daughter did, but she'll have to face the consequences soon."
