___________________________________________________________Ray had always been described like the quiet kid in class. Because he was always alone, the other kids had become accustomed at avoiding him. He is very aware of the many nicknames his classmates were giving him in his back.
The genius, because of him having only good marks.
The emo, because of his hair hiding his left eye and his tendency of wearing almost only dark clothes.
The depressed, because in their opinion he always look sad.
The nerd, because he always have at least one book with him or because you can often find him in the library. And because of the fact that he is always reading.
The weirdo, because he is always alone.
The lonely, because he doesn't have any friends.
There was an other one he didn't remembered, but he knew it was because of the fact that everytime someone tried to pick a fight with him, he would always fight back. Either by fighting or by talking back.
Those were the nicknames he had heard the most. He knew there was more, but, he didn't care. He couldn't care less.
He knew the fights were worrying his mother. Everytime he would come back home with a bruise, a black eye or any other kind of injury like these, she would scold him. But she would always ask him what happened for the fight to have start. After learning the reason behind it, she would most of time, more like always, she would congratulate him for having defended himself, but she would tell him that there would've probably had another solution. She would always do him hot chocolate after.
He was eight years old.
He was sitting at his spot under his tree, reading his favorite book, the one that was talking about dragons. He saw out of the corner of his eye a spot of white coming to his way. He didn't moved his gaze to see who it was. He didn't looked at the boy who had just sat beside him.
« What do you want. »
He saw the boy perked up and turn his head toward him.
« Oh! Huh... Sorry, I didn't want to disturb you. I just needed to sit in the shadows and it was the nearest place I could find. I'm sorry to be bothering you, I'll leave quickly. »
Ray raised his head at the sound of the voice. He then looked at the small boy sitting beside him. His blue sapphires eyes, adorned by wave of pink, were shining in the light of the sun. His hair, as white as the snow, were also shining under the sun. He was smiling at him so brightly, that you could've thought it was because of the sun you were going blind.
Ray saw the boy tilt his head.
« Is everything okay? You seem pale. Even paler than me. »
The raven boy shook his head a little, leaving his thoughts. He hadn't realized that he had been staring at the boy.
« No, no. I mean, yes, everything's okay. Don't worry. »
The smile came back on the snow-haired boy.
