Emma would go check from time to time how it was going at the cafe. She missed working so, ignoring the complaints of her employees and sometime Ray's, when he was there, the ginger-haired girl would help them in the kitchen.

It would keep her busy instead of staying home and do nothing and stay with her spiraling thoughts. If Ray, when he was there, managed to send her back home, she would just bake at home. When she was in the mood to do so.

Her baby was almost here so there was always someone to check on her. Mostly Ray would.

She was six months pregnant now and, if she was to be totally honest, she couldn't wait for their baby to be born. Not just because she wanted to meet them so bad, but also to get rid of the pains coming with pregnancy.

Her back was hurting so much since she had to do almost everything at home alone. She knew that Norman would've helped her if he could. He didn't like to know she had to do every chores and all alone like that.

Her breast was sore all the time. She sometimes, most of the time, felt like not wearing any bra. It was comfier. Her unstoppable crying sessions were starting to get real annoying to her. Emma was tired of always crying for no reasons. She was even crying because she was tired of crying sometimes!

She also wanted to get rid of people always asking if she needed help everytime she was out. For exemple, the other day when she had went grocery shopping. As she was trying to grab something from one of the higher shelves, someone came from behind her and gave her the item she wanted. Once she had payed, someone proposed to help her carry the bags to her car, to which she refused because she just wanted to go home.

There was even some times where people, especially old people, would ask to touch her belly. To which she would automatically refuse. Why did people want to touch her belly this badly? What's so interesting about touching a stranger's belly?

That and when people, especially women who already had kids, would tell her what she should do to raise her kid. She didn't need to know how others raised their kids. She would raise her son the way she thinks is the best way to do so.

There would even have some times where, young adult/teens, they would tell her how they knew someone that had kids and wasn't happy about it. That this person Emma didn't even know thought it was a pain to be a parents.

She knew most of the people talking to her like that didn't mean it in a bad way. They were only trying to help and she was grateful in a way. Depending of what, of course. It's just that it was scaring her more and more. It even made her doubt about her ability to be a good mother. She would often fell asleep after crying for hours.

Emma didn't talk about her uncertainties to Norman. He was already busy with his recovery, she didn't want to give him one more reason to worry.

She did complain to him a lot about people pitying her or taking her for someone weak though. She knew it was a bit because of her hormones that she was upset all the time like that. It was doing her good to complain to Norman about those issues.

Norman was just finding this funny and adorable. He would still take the time to remember her that she shouldn't push herself too much.

Emma was at the grocery store to go buy some stuff she was missing for the recipe she wanted to try. She was examining some fruits when she heard two women mumble beside her.
