Note (from ao3):
TRIGGER WARNINGS MENTION OF DEATH, SUICIDE AND SUICIDAL THOUGHTS

I swear it's the last chapter like that!

This one, this chapter. I cried while writing it and rereading it. I guess it's not a good idea to write sad stuff and listen to sad music at the same time.

And I swear I love Ray! I'm sorry for being this mean to him! I feel so bad for having written this!

Anyway, enjoy!

Ray cheered alongside his family once they all realized that they were finally free, in the human world. When he heard Phil mentioning the fact that Emma was nowhere to be seen and heard Norman crumble to the ground, Ray didn't know what to do.

Seeing how Norman was starting to panic, the raven boy put his hand on the white-haired boy's shoulder, making him look at him.

« We'll find her. Alright? We're talking about Emma now, she would never abandoned her family. »

A small smile appeared on Norman's lips as Ray helped him get up. With the help of the Ratri clan, they manage to get a shelter. Not so long after, not wanting to depend on them any longer, they started a company where Norman was the CEO and Ray and Vincent were his vice-CEO.

With the money of the company, they bought a manor where everyone could live together. They went around the world to find Emma. But they found nothing.

Ray could see how Norman seem to be constantly losing hope. He wasn't dumb either. He could see how his best friend wasn't doing well. He could see how Norman's healt was decreasing.

Ray had to scold Norman many time during the years that passed. Three years had passed now and Norman still hadn't touch a single pills for his treatment.

Over the years, Ray had learned a lot about himself. Like he was in love with Anna. It took one year for him to understand and confess what he was feeling for her. That was one of his happiest moment since a year now. It didn't take long before their family learned about their new relationship.

Two years later, Ray had proposed to Anna. She had said yes. It was his second most happiest moment. They decided together to do their wedding soon after announcing it to their family, so they could cheer everyone up.

Norman was happy for them, Ray could see it. But he could also see how unwell his best friend was, despite his constant smile. Ray was always keeping an eye on him, just to make sure he wouldn't do anything stupid.

During his wedding ceremony, Ray would take glances over Norman from time to time. He knew that, behind his smile and happiness, Norman wasn't okay. The raven boy could see how the white-haired boy's smile would drop everytime no one was looking.

« Ray? »

Anna's voice broke him out of his thoughts. He looked at her. She was as concern as him.

« Sorry, Anna. I'm just worried about Norman. »

He looked over his best friend that was sitting in a corner alone. Norman looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there.

Anna put her hand on his, making him look back at her.

« We're all worried for him. »

Ray nodded, sighing.

« I know... it's just... I feel like I forced him to be here. I'm happy that he's here, I can't imagine my wedding without him but, I don't want to force him to do something he doesn't want to. And I hate to see him like that. »
