"His statement read that you were the one who put your hands on ms Zaeda and he tried to intervene which caused harm to him as well." he read

"Well he's a fucking liar and a dumbass one at that." I mumbled

"Are you not understanding how serious this is ?"

"Are you not understanding that I don't give a flying fuck?" I asked causing for him to slam the folder on the desk.

"We can book you right now, it'll go on your record, prevent a couple of fights."

"Then book me, the only reason that y'all haven't is because y'all have no evidence." I shrugged causing for his smirk to fall

"See that's where you have it all wrong, either way it goes you signed a contract that prevents you from fighting anyone outside of professional fighting." Another one said before sliding a copy over to me

"Without self defense." I smiled before sliding it back

"It wasn't yourself that you were defending let's go." She smiled before grabbing my arm and standing me up.

Just then the door opened and a familiar face walked in

"I'll take it from here, anything that my client has said without me being here is irrelevant on or off record." She spoke before sitting her bag down.

If instantly clicked that it was Zaeda's sister.

"Zyla Garner, i'll be representing you, would you mind explaining what happened between you and Tyrell Smith ?" she asked

I looked up at her wondering why the hell she was talking to me like we hadn't met before causing for her to fleet her throat and lean in.

"My sister pulled some very tough strings to get me to you, and I take my job very seriously regardless of who you are, if i'm representing you this case will only go one way, my way, so with that being said don't waste my time and let's keep it pushing, now did I stutter ?" she asked causing for me to sit up

"That's more like it." She added

We began going back and forth about what was going on and Zyla zoned out for a minute before taking a deep breath.

After a while she looked at me with tears in her eyes before quickly wiping them.

I could tell how much Zae was loved, which is why I wasn't understanding why her parents acted the way that they did.

"So either way they can't book you, one they entered and searched your home without a warrant, and two they didn't read you your Miranda rights correct ?" she asked while pulling herself together

"Miranda rights ?" I asked

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Did they say that ?" she asked and I shook my head

"They also should've told you what you were going on for when you asked, regardless what you knew, but at the end of the day as a professional fighter your hands are considered a weapon, it's not a tough case, but Ty is good, lucky for you in better." She smiled before standing up.

"Let's get you out of here, your first court day is tomorrow and that'll determine if you have to spend a little time here or not which will go on your record unfortunately, but I highly doubt they you will.
