"I'm just saying, don't waste time being mad at him, that won't benefit either of you." Zae said while washing her face
"I'm not mad I just don't feel feel like hearing bullshit ass excuses."
"Nova." Zae sighed before turning the water off and drying her face with a towel
She walked over before climbing onto my lap and wrapping her arms around my neck.
The sunlight slightly shined through the cracks of the blinds causing for it to reflect onto her face and into the dim room.
"It's okay to be hurt stop feeling like you have to keep a straight face all the time with no emotions."
"I know that, nobody's doing shit Zae." I replied causing for her to tilt her head at me
I sighed before pecking her lips a couple of times before licking over my bottom one and tapping her leg causing for her to get up
"Ima head over to my ma's."
"No training?" Zae asked
"I'll go later."
"Nova the fight is in a few days you can't
just-"
"Dee pushed it back, i'm straight." I told her and she crossed her arms
"I love you." I told her before pulling the strings of my hoodie that she had on down before kissing the top of her head.
"I love you too."

"So you wasn't gon tell me he had cancer ?" I asked
My ma's eyes widened before she looked around and then back at me crazy
"Boy hush!"
"Nah that's y'all's problems yall can't be honest for shit."
"We were going to tell you Nova, just after everything-"
"I'm a grown ass man ma, if anything I still deserved to know."
"I understand, you have every right to be upset but Sky.."
"What about me?" Sky asked before opening the refrigerator
My ma looked at me with pleading eyes and I shook my head before looking at Sky
"We need to talk Sky."
"Nova!" my ma yelled
"Go put some clothes on, you coming with me." I told her
She furrowed her eyebrows before backing away in suspicion and going upstairs
"You have no right Nova, that girl still has a whole school year to get through!"
"It wouldn't make any difference if he died without her knowing huh? that's my fucking sister so I don't give a fuck." I replied before walking out the kitchen
After a while Sky came came down and I opened the door before looking back at my ma who was rubbing her head out of frustration

"Why were y'all arguing ?" Sky asked
I looked at her before looking back at the road.
"Did something happen, ouu are you proposing ?" she smiled
"Proposing is fucking crazy, I just got with the girl Sky."
"So, it's like y'all have known each other foreverrr, I can't wait to experience what y'all have." She said causing for me to chuckle
