"Have you been having pain in this area here ?" Doc asked before slighting rubbing my rib cage.

"A little, but it's not constant, it comes and goes." I shrugged

"How long ?"

"Not gon lie, I don't even remember, it's been a while." I admitted

"Hm."

"Something wrong ?" I asked

"Well.. it's bruised badly, and with lost bruising they go away, but something's different here.." He trailed

"Have you brought this up any with your primary care doctor ?"

"Yea, but he said it was nothing ice and over the counter medication couldn't fix."

He looked at me for a while before looking back at his computer

"I have to document it, however ai can approve you for tonight since it isn't bothering you currently.. but tonight only, afterwards i'd recommend an appointment with your primary physician, or doctor, they'll have to get X-rays in to determine that nothing else happened." he explained

"But.. if you get any pain at all, I'd honestly recommend sitting out Cane. I know this is a big moment, but listen to your body."

"Yea." I nodded before watching him write on a slip

Honestly, I wasn't keeping up with my physicals regularly so I wasn't too shocked that everything wasn't 100%.

I wasn't feeling any pain at the moment and even when I do it's only sharp and quick ones.

"So i'm clear ?" I asked

"...You're clear for this fight, but i'd recommend another check before any others after this, you need an x-ray." He replied before handing me a slip

I thanked him before I soon left the office and got ready to head to my next stop.

"You've been preparing for this fight for almost a year now, how does it feel to finally be here ?"

"Training for this fight ? Nah i've been training for this #1 spot, I could care less about who's holding it." I replied

"According to Duke's record he's only 1 up on you, but just a few months ago you were far behind his position, how'd you do it ?

"Honestly.. I trained my ass off. I cut off all distractions, changed my profile, changed me diet.." I replied

"There was a lot of change for you huh ?"

"Change is the only thing that's constant." I chuckled causing for him to nod

"And your father, he's had that #1 position before, has he at all earned you with what comes with it if earned ?"

"I mean my paps was a legend, he taught me that no matter where you're at, greatness is always achievable, therefore I can either get it how I want it or settle as it is." I replied

"So then we must ask, why did you fire him as a coach?"

I licked over my bottom lip before looking down and back up

"Honestly I wanted a relationship with my
paps outside of fighting, it was sighed, it was either a coach or a father no in between" I replied

I looked up at the glass to see my paps standing with uncle Dee and Breanna.

"Cane." I heard causing for me
to snap back
