Two Weeks Later-

Nova-

"Where's Sky ?? I keep having to track this girl down all day I just can't-" My ma stopped before sighing and sitting her phone down on the table.

I stood up before comforting her as she attempted to pull herself together

"Just give her a minute ma." I said

"No, I told her not to leave the house there's family here, we literally just buried David not even two hours ago." She sighed

" Don't stress ma,if she's not back in thirty minutes i'll go find her, but until then sit down, you've been moving all day." I told her before guiding her to a seat.

She sat down before looking at me and tears began to swell up in her eyes before she cuffed my face

"Are you ok baby?"

"I'm fine ma." I replied causing for her to tilt her head at me

"Are you sure ? I know these past two weeks have been so hard for you."

"I'm doing better ma, i'm just.. numb, I can't feel
it." I explained

Just then my phone went off and it was a text from Zae letting me know that her and Sky had walked to a nearby park for a while.

"Zae just told me that she has Sky, she's straight." I told ma and she nodded before wiping her face

"Wassup cousin." I heard causing for me to turn around and see Kyree.

Me and Kyree used to kick it all the time as youngins, but once we got into highschool he fell into the wrong path. Got caught up into gang activity, dropped out, and was in and out
of jail every other day.

I dapped him up before he tapped my shoulder

"You doing alright ?" He asked

"I'm straight, yourself ?" I asked and he gave me a look before nodding

"Likewise." He added

"I know you processing and all, but if you need anything at all just hit me up ight ?" He asked and I nodded before dapping him up again

Zaeda-

"Sometimes I felt like the glass child." Sky explained

"So I snuck out and did things that I knew would get their attention just so they could see me.. you know ?" She asked and I sighed

"Sky, they've always seen you.. he's always seen you." I said causing for her to look at me.

"He told me that you had such a bright future ahead of you Sky Sky, and he regrets not being able to experience it." I told her and she closed her eyes before looking down.

"How am I supposed to get through life without him Zae..? he won't see me graduate , move in to college, all those stepping stones.."

"You have a full support system behind you Skyler, don't let this be a set back. Set it up and let it remind you that he's watching you push through ok?" I told her and she nodded before wiping her face and pulling me into a hug

"I love you Zae."

"I love you too Sky."

I sat with her for a while as she took a minute to hold on to me. I gave her all the time she needed and made sure that she felt safe.

I hesitantly knocked on the door before fiddling with my fingers and looking around.

Soon the door swung open and my dad looked at me in shock.
