Song Recommendation: Love Story by Taylor Swift
Third Person POV

"Noah?" Aru said into the phone

"Hey sorella. You okay?" Noah's voice replied

"I need you to come over this weekend. Well, shit. Tomorrow. I need you to come over tomorrow." Aru let out a stressed out sigh as she ran a hand through her hair.

"Of course. Are you okay? Did he do anything?" Noah asked. Aru heard the distant sound of ruffling clothes. It seemed like Noah was already packing to come over.

The two siblings didn't need any further explanation for who the "he" was. It was clear that Noah didn't like the Sleeper: how could he? After what the Sleeper did to his sister, how could he like him?

"No, he didn't do anything. Not yet, at least. Look, Aiden proposed to me. And he told his family about us. So I need my brother. I need my brother when I tell my family about everything. It'll be nice to have a person who knows and is on board when the shit goes down." Aru explained, her voice shaking. She hadn't realized how much of the situation had taken a toll on her.

"Hold the damn phone. Hold on! Aiden proposed to you? And you said yes? Why is this the first time I'm hearing about this?" Noah exclaimed, followed by a loud thud and a muffled "Fcking hell."

"Are you okay?" Aru said as she laughed and winced at the same time.

"I tripped out of surprise. Why the bloody hell did I not know Arundhati?"

Aru winced at her full name, "I've been so worried about what the family will think that I forgot to tell you. I'm sorry, Bhaiya."

"It's okay. Of course it's okay. I'm so happy for you guys! Congratulations! If he doesn't accept you guys now, I'll shoot him with his own gun! Don't worry, Moon, it'll all be okay."

"Thanks, Sunshine. I'm glad you'll be there."

"So who else is gonna be there?" Noah asked

"Me, you, Mom, Dad, Uncle Boo and Uncle Veer. I don't want any of our sisters there just in case something gets ugly." Aru replied

"Of course. I totally get it. I'll see you tomorrow then Moon?"

"Wouldn't miss it for the world. Love you, Bhaiya."

"Love you too." Noah said right before he hung up the phone.

Aru let out a sigh before she started to slip a dagger in her hands to calm herself down.

After going to the gym, reviewing her two dozen war strategies, going over her French, Spanish and Mandarin (the three languages she was currently learning to accompany Hindi, Italian, English, Punjabi and Gujarati), going to the gym again, calling Aiden and showering, Aru went to her Nani's favourite spot: a cliff overlooking the beach.

Aiden and Mini were worried about the daily routine, claiming it was "too much for her" and "she should take a break". Aru thought differently, it was a way for her to take her mind of thing. It helped her think and relax.

But the best thing for helping her relax was talking to her Nani.

"Hey Nani." Aru said, running a hand through her hair.

"How are you? How's it going up there? Is it nice being back with Nana? I'm sure he loves seeing you again. No doubt that both of you will be here again soon." Aru said, smiling.

"Who knows? Maybe you'll come back as a friend who a neighbour who I'm really close with. Or someone that will be in my life indefinitely. And if not, and you've made your peace and settled your karma, I know you're always going to be there for me." Aru continued, running a hand over her scarred forearm.
