Song Recommendation: Less Than Zero - The Weeknd
Third Person POV

"Fuck my life." Aru groaned as she walked into the kitchen.

"That's a little bit vulgar first thing in the morning, isn't it? I mean, it's five in the morning, Moon." Noah teased as he made himself and Aru protein shakes.

"Fuck off."

"Ooh, someone's salty this morning."

"Noah Bhaiya, do you know what the date is?"

"I know exactly what day it is."

"Then why are you acting like this?"

"Because for the past four years, you have acted like this every time on today. You are incredibly irritable, angry and overall just want to punch something. And every year, I am like this to remind you that you've come so far and everything will be okay."

"I don't know how you can say that. Today is the day that I betrayed him. The day I stole his gold and almost shot him. In the head." Aru exclaimed, running a hand through her hair.

"But you didn't. And while he betrayed us in the end, I understand why this day is important to you, I mean, anyone with a brain can understand."

Aru laughed, "You think so?"

"Of course. And who knows? Maybe he was tricked into something and this is a whole misunderstanding. Maybe he still loves you and is too scared or too hurt to do something. Maybe he still wants to be with you."

"You really believe that?"

"I want to. I saw the way he talked about you. Fuck, I saw the way he looked at you. There was no way he was playing you but the evidence is damning. And if he wanted to be with you, I feel as though he would've contacted you by now."

"I threatened his life and shot him. Twice."

"That's also true. But both of us can't be logical, one of us needs to be delusional and that person is me."

"So, you're gonna feed my delusions about a guy? A guy who I am pissed at and a guy that hurt me in the way I thought no one could?"

"You mean, the guy you still love?" Noah asked, his eyebrows raised.

"Fuck off."

"I'm guessing yes. So yeah, I'm feeding your delusions about the guy you love. Love isn't easy, Arundhati."

"Yeah, no one said it was. It's just that, you and Pooja make it look so easy!" Aru complained

"That's because we've had long nights where we just talk and talk about, well, us. When I told her about the gang, she didn't talk to me for two days because she needed time to process that. And I gave her it. Relationships are complicated, Aru. But if they're meant to be, then God - and the universe - will make sure it happens."

"You think so?"

"I think so. Out of all the guys you've ever gone on a date with, Aiden's my favourite. And I hate him, believe me, I hate him. I hate that he hurt you and that he hurt this family. But, I can't deny that he made you happy and he loved you with everything he had. And I truly with all my heart do not believe that he was playing you."

"So what do you think?"

"I think that someone was making him do this. That the feud was too much to bear and Kaali planned an ambush without Aiden knowing. But as soon as the first shot was fired, it triggered his fight or flight - not to mention his training."

"God, I hope so." Aru sighed as she leaned against her older brother.

"Are you happy that you wrote that letter?" Noah said, placing a kiss on her forehead
