Isobel's Return

Gin's POV

Amira woke me up early and I explained where we were. We had breakfast with Carol. I then drive us back to the house. To see Jenna driving away and an angry Ric leave. "What happened?" Amira asks me confused.

"No idea, lets go find out" I tell her and we get out of the car. We head inside. "Where did Jenna go? Why was Ric upset?" I ask Elena as John left.

"Isobel was here last night" she states.

"Ric's vampire wife, who Jenna believes is dead?" I ask and she nods her head.

"She discovered Jeremy, Ric, John and I knew she was alive. And that I had meet her before. She said she is going to finish her thesis on campus. She told me to ask you to go to the Lockwood's today and accept the Historical Society's check for my mom's foundation" she explains.

"I'm supposed to be moving today" I remind her.

"I know and I think she forgot with the shock of Isobel" she states. I sigh running a hand through my hair. "I can do it" she suggests.

"No, I'll do it" I tell her.

"So we're not moving today?" Amira asks with a pout.

"No, we are. Just not this morning" I state. She nods her head. "You going to come?" I ask Elena.

"Yeah, I can watch Amira while you accept the award" she states. I nod my head. "Stefan is coming over" she adds. I nod and head upstairs with Amira to get ready. I bathed Amira and got her ready. Before giving her my tablet and hopped in the shower myself.

I get out and dry myself. I wrapped a towel around me and go to dry my hair. When Amira runs in scared. "Mummy unknown vampire in house" she states. I curse and grab my gun. We go downstairs and I find a woman in the kitchen. I point the gun at her.

"Make one wrong move and you're dead" I sneer.

"Is that anyway to greet an old friend, Ginevra?" she asks.

"You stopped being a friend when you became a blood sucker" I tell her.

"Gin, don't shot" John says as he appears with Elena and Stefan.

"You invited her in?" Elena demands glaring at John.

"You hate vampires more then I do and you invited one in?" I demand glaring at him.

"I asked John for a do over" Isobel states and I cock my gun.

"One more word and you're dead Isobel" I tell her. "Elena, how do you know her?" I ask.

"She is the Isobel that is my vampire moter" she answers.

"She has information about Klaus. Please, just listen to her, okay?" John asks us.

"Hell no, I don't want her anywhere near my daughter or niece. So she leaves or gets a wooden bullet to the heart" I state. Elena looks at Stefan.

"All right. What do you know?" he asks.

"Elena..." I growl.

"It's ok Gin, we're just talking. Then she will leave, if not you shoot her" she tells me. I sigh in frustration and lower the gun.

"Since I was last here, I've been doing everything possible to find Klaus. We knew our best chance was to find him before he could find you" Isobel states looking at Elena.

"Best chance at what?" Stefan asks.

"Keeping Elena alive" John answers.

"You don't get to talk, okay, not after everything you've done" Elena tells him.

"Were you able to find Klaus?" Stefan asks Isobel.

"No. Nobody knows where he is but there are these rumors that are flying around. That a doppelgänger exists" Isobel explains.

"I doubt that, you never failed to find anything you were looking for" I state.

"I did this time" she says in a monotone. I frown, not believing her.

"Look this means any vampire that wants to get in favor with Klaus will be lining up to capture you" John tells Elena.

"I'm not buying any of this" I state.

"Neither am I" Elena agrees. "The last time that you were here, you made it clear that you didn't give a damn about me. Now all of a sudden I'm supposed to believe that you want to help?" she asks.

"Isobel's been helping all along. Klaus has been obsessed with finding Katherine for centuries. All it would take was any one of those 1864 tomb vampires to spread the word around that Katherine was still alive and it would bring him straight here to Mystic Falls, where you were bound to be discovered, so we killed them" John explains.

"And almost killed Stefan and Damon in the process" Elena states.

"I have a safe house that I can take you to. The deed is in your and Gin's names. No vampires can get in without either of your permissions, not even me. Let me help you" Isobel pleads.

"I already have a house" I state.

"You wanna help? Then get the hell out of my house" Elena tells her and she left sighing.

"You're always welcome at my house Elena, no vampire will ever be invited in" I tell her.

"Thanks Gin" she says with a grateful smile.

(Time skip)

Amira, Elena, Stefan and I arrive at the Lockwood house. "Now you behave for your cousin" I tell Amira.

"I will" she assures me. We all go inside. We join the crowd in front of the stage, where Carol is.

"And here to accept the donation to the Miranda Sommers-Gilbert scholarship fund is Ginevra Sommers" she says. I smile at Amira and Elena. Before heading up onto stage.

"The Historical Society was my older sister's baby. She considered all of you family and would be honored and touched by this gift" I tell the crowd. I notice Elena leave with Amira. She must need the loo, I told her to go before we left. But she didn't. "Thank you all" I tell the crowd and left the stage.

"Your sister would be proud" Stefan tells me.

"Thanks, did Amira need the loo?" I ask him. He nods his head. He looks away and I follow his gaze to see a dead John with a bleeding neck. Everyone comes to see the source of the thud and gasp in shock. "Amira" I say.

"Go, I'll handle this" he tells me. I nod and race off to search for Elena and Amira. I find Amira alone.

"Where's your cousin?" I ask her.

"She said she'd wait outside" she states confused. I pick her up and go to search for Elena. But couldn't find her. I curse wishing I had my phone. I see everyone leaving and notice Stefan missing too. Damon appears.

"You seen Elena or my brother?" he asks me.

"No, they both disappeared" I tell him.

"Damn, go. I'll handle this" he tells me gesturing to John. I nod and leave with Amira. We go back to the Gilbert house, we get our stuff and leave. Moving into our new house. I get a call later from Elena and she fills me in. Isobel had kidnapped her and Katherine is now gone. But Elena is now back at her home safe. And apparently the Salvatores will be signing the lease of their house over to her. So that she can choose who is invited in. Which is smart and I am glad they are taking this seriously. And are protecting my niece.

Isobel is also dead. Which saddens me. She may of been a vampire. But before that she helped me with Amira and was a friend. I decide to visit her grave tomorrow with her favourite flowers. Elena said I could have Isobel's day light necklace.
